  1. I mean we have Backlot which is a pretty good intermediate coaster imo. I think a modern woodie is a little higher on my list but a wild mouse could work. I personally think other coasters come before a wild mouse but that is just me.
  2. I feel the same way. I am fine with just having The Racer and The Beast at Kings Island. That is enough wooden coasters for me. However, we don't have anything like a Giga Coaster. While I would love a giga coaster at KI I think a modern woodie would be a great fit. If this is a steel coaster and isn't a giga I'm hoping for a multi launch, but that might be too intense after Banshee for a park that caters mainly to family's. No matter what we get I'm not gonna be dissapointed because we are still getting something new instead of just getting a park improvement.
  3. If we were getting a wing coaster I would prefer it be like Thunderbird. Gatekeeper is the least forceful of the wing coasters I have been on.
  4. Bluefire and Helix are considered to be great launch coasters and both are made by Mack. Bluefire has amazing capacity with 5 cars and can put through 1700+ in a hour. What it really comes down to is if CF is willing to put in a large lauch coaster from them, Helix cost nearly 30 million.
  5. Honestly it makes perfect sense that people who know won't speak, why risk breaking a nda when the topic will drive itself. Now I think a often forgot about spike in posts could be Coasterstock. With the KI&MVR tour and the usual "teasing" the park does I think the thread will blow up that day.
  6. They are great at diversions. The Bat website, the construction behind Banshee. I love how KI handles new attractions.
  7. Well considering Arrow is basically all but gone, I doubt we would get an Arrow coaster.
  8. On topic, with a concrete truck coming out of the woods we could potentially start seeing footers soon. I know this was probably just for the WWC path or the supposed renovation to the reservoir, but one can hope.
  9. Here is a possibility that hasn't been brought up here.....could they just be revamping restoring the train for its 45th anniversary. I'm not gonna say that explains most of what is going on, but so far most of the clearing has been right next to the trains. This got brought up on a different website and had quite a bit of people agreeing with it. I'm still on the steel coaster side, but it is still a possibility.
  10. He later said in the comments he has since changed his opinion. He has only been to the park once and made a 5 year plan before he ever stepped foot in the park, so I usually just ignore him because he has no idea what is going on.
  11. They would probably announce the closure halfway through the season like Shockwave.
  12. I still have no clue where the hashtag came from, I have looked over all social media and come up with nothing.
  13. Didn't someone in this thread mention that Vortex is coming up to the end of the Arrow "lifespan"? I feel like anytime people mention there is something "suspicious" with a ride there just so happens to be weird things going down with that ride the next day. Ex. Rfylcb was not running and brought up in the thread, the next day a snapchat has it with the caption "cya". I'm not saying these all couldn't be true, but I think most of them are just management messing with us.
  14. I'm not 100% sure that rcfylcb is going away, Don is very good at teasing things and diverting people attention. Lets not forget their is clearing all the way out by old fort coney and we are sitting here talking about the possible removal of a water ride. I think it is possible that this is the last year for rfylcb but we also already have the ride removal for this year according to the chart, looking at a water ride that was north of KI. As for the actual project it looks to be large and I for one am extremely excited for another large attraction coming to KI.
  15. I really hope this is a steal coaster if it is going to be that long. Only because I would like to keep the train there and I doubt they would be able to if this was going to be a wooden coaster. The clearing doesn't look to be all of the trees, which is a big plus in my book.
  16. I wouldn't read to far into rfylcb not being open. As for the giga discussion, I don't think they are only holdouts of the coaster war but more of a "you have no major holes and we want more hype for this park". The giga's I have been on are fantastic and I would love to see one at KI but it isn't NEEDED, I think any coaster put in will be a pretty good fit for the park.
  17. I have been looking for where this #10thwonderoftheworld hint came from? Other then the obvious topic starters like the sign or blueprint pictures the only subtle hint that caught my attention was a picture from Mr. Scheid with the term "best in class" all capitalized. https://twitter.com/KIGMGREG/status/689883627509936128 This however is a really old tweet, but I mean it was only 2 days after the blueprints picture was posted.
  18. I would prefer a giga coaster because strata's are gimmicks to me. I'm not saying they are bad rides but are more of a one trick pony. But if I had to guess a park for a hotel it would be Carowinds or CW.
  19. Never ruled it out Terp just doubting it at this point.
  20. CW is usually there testing ground, usually flats. CW has a very well rounded flat ride collection, and I would call it the testing ground for CF. I don't think they are the testing ground for coasters though, for a obvious example look at Gatekeeper. Like I said earlier I'm not gonna rule out anything for now, it is too early to be ruling out options. I personally will be happy with anything, It could be a giga, woodie, a "woodie" or even a wild mouse. I'm waiting to see some more construction before I make an educated guess, I know I'm personally going to be riding the train a little more often. While I said I'm waiting to see what it is before I make a guess, I doubt hype practically 1 1/2 years before it opens would be a flat ride. As this is my first experience with decoding I'm happy to be able to experience it in all of its glory, May the clue hunting begin.
  21. Probably hasn't been announced yet, but there is the rumor that this is the last year for WWC. They will let people know before the removal of a big ride.
  22. I am not counting anything out this year. There has been so much construction around the park and with so many marker "sightings" it COULD be a giga. With how Mr. Scheid did also mention 2018 ride almost suggesting they don't know which year the next big ride would come out. I am fairly certain that this is a coaster of some kind........what kind is completely unknown. There are so many possibilities that it is crazy to try and predict what we are getting. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it won't be a Huss flat ride.
  23. I think it would be awesome. I think that is a great way to hype up a coaster IF its wood and you plan to use the theme. I doubt KI will go back to that name because of its past.
  24. 7. They could create a gigantic hole at the Son of Beast grave... The son never truly died, he is making his triumphant return!
  25. I can't see them announcing earlier then mid July. Even if the footers give away if it is a wood coaster, keeping people guessing is very important.
