  1. Giga coasters are usually focused on the speed and some over banked turns so that would go against the norm. While I very much want a giga coaster if it was just a larger Diamondback I would prefer a woodie, wing coaster or another launch coaster. Fury and Leviathan have been amazing coasters and I see no reason for B&M to completely change the philosophy behind there giga coasters.
  2. Honestly I think all rides are safe as of now, I personally think you can fit a lot of possibilities in that space without removing rides.
  3. I mean we have no clue about coaster type, everything is still speculation. While I'm completely down for another 48" height requirement ride, KI has quite a good selection of roller coasters for families. While the big ones have height requirements of 54" they definitely have a focus on the kids area.
  4. I mean they are pretty soon, but seeing track before footings are being placed would be pretty crazy. I also meant more mid to late June, like Fury was, since they don't have to ship it as far.
  5. I mean it is very possible this is a coaster for overseas. They might be working on something for KI but I doubt we will see anything this soon, I would look for stuff toward June or July.
  6. Wait green as in green Intamin track.......sorry but I had to. Kings Island teases their upcoming attractions better then anyone imo. I can't wait to get back to the park now that there is more then just markers. edit: By the way I think we have seen the last of Intamin at CF parks for a while. Just had to make the joke.
  7. B&M could try their hand at a cowboy coaster, now that they have a launch system. I do believe this will be going overseas though, seems to early for something within the same state.
  8. A 360ft coaster will not be the shortest strata coaster. It's still not 400ft I meant more by design. It is still the tallest giga coaster, but to me that is how I would see it.
  9. I mean maybe the tallest built in North America considering there is going to be a 360 footer going in over seas. Imo that is just going to be the shortest strata coaster considering it is just a smaller TTD. but you can't market it as the tallest giga coaster anymore.
  10. I think the "small" giga is I305, but even that is longer then most coasters. I personally can see it being any kind of coaster, but I'm pretty set that it is a coaster for now. I think whatever it is will be a wonderful ride and a welcome addition to the park,no matter what people will be dissapointed.
  11. I think the area that needs some more traffic flow is back by WindSeeker. It is absolutely the most deserted area that has rides in it. I personally would love to know what is going on, but all will be revealed in time. Until then all we can do is go with what we have, which isn't much at this point.
  12. Lets also not forget that Banshee was placed on a spot that was previously cleared before construction. Therefore the last full construction we had was Diamondback which also required a lot of land work. I am not saying that this is a coaster, but our last 2 coasters had much different land they were put on.
  13. I'm not a huge fan of coasters super close to one another, for aesthetic reasons. Some parks build coasters on top of each other and it just looks so messy imo. http://www.aceonline.org/acenewsnow/Files/279/ThemosttwistedTwisterintheworld.jpg is a example of why I think coasters should have some space between them. While I admit that it can be done well, most of the times I see 2 large coasters built on top of each other it just looks bad to me. I'm not saying I would dislike a ride because of it, but I would rather see coasters built in open space before they are on top of each other.
  14. https://twitter.com/KingsIslandPR/status/729770481902030848 I think it is safe to rule out DA moving with this tweet.
  15. We could count out Intamin doing one, but I think we could see Mack or B&M try doing one. I mean Helix and Bluefire are considered great launch coasters. I think it is a smaller chance then the others simply because 2 very intense coasters in a row could cause problems.
  16. I personally think anything can fit in the rivertown space, as long as they weren't going for worlds longest coaster. But the DA theory has me intrigued, and definitely opened my eyes up to other possibilities.
  17. I think that was around mid June. We would probably see track for us, pretty late in the summer because shipping won't take nearly as long.
  18. There was a rumor from Screamscape and the blueprint tease, that is what I think is making people think this is a giga. I'm not on either side right now as their isn't enough evidence to support either side imo.
  19. If it were an RMC I think "Iron Beast" would be a great name, but personally that is more of a "wooden" coaster to me. I think the best manufacturer to match the intensity of The Beast would be GG, but a big GCI would also be amazing. I personally think the next wooden coaster would be around the 50th anniversary. If we get a coaster in 2017 on the 45th anniversary, I could see them waiting until 2022 for a large new wooden coaster. Basically I think the next 2 coasters will be a woodie and a giga coaster, I just don't know when and in what order.
  20. Ummm not to rain on your parade but literally half that land is not usable in its current condition. The land by Beast practically turns into a swamp when it rains. You are also cutting out part of what makes The Beast so legendary, the secluded nature of the ride really adds.
  21. I have never rode NTG as I'm in college and stuck to this area for awhile. I guess the point I wanted to make was a "wooden" coaster doesn't need to have 4 inversions to be good. I much prefer the style of hard turns and having the feeling that I'm not in control, over being upside down. I have heard good things about both Iron Rattler and NTG, but won't be able to ride those for a few more years.
  22. I personally am not the biggest fan of RMC, I prefer the old wooden style over something that is just to put as many inversions on a "wood" coaster as possible. Am I the only one who feels most RMC's also don't keep up that intensity all the way through the ride? Idk maybe I'm being too picky with my coasters but all my favorite coasters keep up the intensity from start to finish: Maverick, Banshee, and Voyage come to mind. Personally if it is a wooden coaster I'm hoping for a little bit bigger of a GCI twister. A coaster like Prowler or Renegade would really round out the wooden collection and bring something that our other coasters don't.
  23. I thought when I came back there would be some coaster talk. Well is it too late to buy a ticket to the show?
  24. Or if you want a better wing coaster and 3 great woodies you can drive 195 miles west to Holiday World. As for the snapchat it could be a hint toward B&M or it is could be talking about airtime. We should be seeing some more construction in the area soon, figuratively we have a month or so until we find out what the coaster is made out of, if it is a coaster.
  25. So if it was something like Helix or Prowler you guys would be upset? Well you guys have a good chance of being dissapointed, I wouldn't rule it out but there are too many possibilities to lock myself into one team.
