  1. I thought board to death was a haunt attraction, ave this were the years it existed. I don't think there is any link to its placement near the ceremony... Other than perhaps it is more recent than some of the other tombstone references. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. They called it "burnt ends". When I asked about it, they said it was really just shredded tri tip with a glaze sauce. It looked good, it tasted good. If you're interested, just go and see for yourself... Although at this point the day has ended and who knows when they will return. The post was more for those who have the meal plan, who like me, enjoy trying new offerings as they appear. As well as a way of letting anyone from the park know (if they follow this) that I appreciate the effort. To be honest, I feel like king ding dong is usually just really vocal about his lack of support for the meal plan... We've heard it, I understand that he doesn't think it's good for him. But I'm not really sure why he follows this thread at all, let alone comments on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Was the Mac bowl at hanks burrito? Did they already convert that over for winterfest? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Other tombstones near the proposed burial site. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Love to see Coney upping their game still this late in the season. Today, in addition to the usual, They had shrimp, bbq wings, BBQ beef sandwiches, & smoked turkey. I tried the beef sandwich, tasty. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. We're here for P&G dividend day. Flight commander pad is being removed, as have some areas of the concourse near Vortex. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. The amount of rides vs other parks. You can legitimately spend an entire day with children under 48" and have plenty to do at KI. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Just drove by the park. Parking lot is as full as I've seen it all season. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I'm having an issue with the website not letting me buy bring a friend day tickets. I called the park and customer service confirmed my account is in good standing, but they couldn't get my gold pass number to work either to allow purchase. They gave me a number to call tech support... Who was worthless and said they could only help me if I had an order number... Either from my current order, which I can't get far enough to get an order number, or from when I bought my season pass last October... For which no order number exists because I renewed in person. They told me to call the park guest services... Guest services has no way to override the system or provide me a temporary number.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. As you said, they will both be crowded. The 25th is also still the bring a friend promotion, so on one hand that might be busier.... Often Sundays can get less busy after dinner... You might find that to be the case on labor day as people leave the park early to drive home fir with the next day. Personally, if your main objective is crowd avoidance, then I'd wait to see the weather. If the current forecast holds for Saturday and it's 83 and partly cloudy, then I'd wait until 9/3. If however there is rain forecasted Saturday, then I'd come then to get shorter lines almost guaranteed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I think this is actually a great solution. At many locations, especially those with a limited menu and no customization (la Rosa is a great example) the bottle neck is the payment... Especially guests who don't have plans who need change. I've often said that a pass only check out line... Or even a no cash line... Would greatly improve the speed of service for everyone. In some cases, if designed correctly, they could do this via a kiosk and thus dedicate the staffed cashier to the non meal plan customers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Nothing is older than dinosaurs. They are bringing back Dinosaurs Alive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. A wedding ring as a loose article seems silly... As very few are loose. However a ring as "exposed metal" seems in line with the policy of no exposed metal... And would explain why it's only been enforced on a few slides Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. The gps coordinates on the envelops point directly to kings dominion and California great America Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Tried reds fir the first time this season. Pot my order in at 6:04. My red legs burger came out at 6:23. 19 minutes for a bacon cheese burger... Which as you can see by the photo was burnt black. I just don't get it. Plenty of places serve burgers at the park and manage to not burn them... While getting the burger out in a minute or two (juke box, snoopy grill, fest house la Rosa). I really expected more from reds, especially after waiting 20 minutes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I was told the volume was quieter and the lights were left on.... But that was by guest services who didn't know the 7:00 was cancelled... So I'm not sure if that is confirmed or was their reasonable speculation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Got this from guest services. They confirmed that they didn't realize the 7:00 show was being removed until 7:15 tonight. It all makes sense, but just wasn't communicated well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Guest services gave me this. Basically it's like any other week, but there is an 11:30 gravity show which says it's sensory friendly... Which is why the 7:00 show didn't happen this week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I'm very pro autism week, as my son has ASD... But canceling the 7:00 show without informing guest services, is a disservice to the general public... Not updating any specifics to indicate when the sensory show times area is a disservice to the ASD guests... I don't see anything on the website that was linked on Facebook today indicating what is different this week... https://bit.ly/2zI4A15 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Also, as more lockers are required, I would expect these end of ride shops to do worse... As some will leave their wallets in the locker. You can probably jump out before entering the building... But it's not going to save much time as the interior is really open now, so it doesn't slow you down at all to walk through. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Cedar Fair does great... But dollywood blew us away... That have a place near the entrance for special needs guests to meet with an advisor who listens to the need and then helps setup your day at the park or advise on accommodations. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Called guest services today to confirm there was 7:00 show... They said there was. Came to the park, app confirms 7:00 show. Theater is totally dark (someone peeked in)... There is no 7:00 show Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. This has probably been this way all year, but I noticed it tonight... The gift shop at the exit of Banshee has been totally conveyed to a crane machine arcade. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. If you don't have access to a gold/platinum pass member... Last I checked, the single day tickets at Kroger were only $2-3 more than the $45 for good pass at the park... So that's likely an easier option than trying to coordinate your purchase with someone else. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I hit the island smokehouse in Soak City this week. The pulled pork has been fine, but I was really disappointed with the smoked wings. They are slathered with BBQ sauce so you can't taste any of the "smoke" flavor... Since BBQ sauce is offered to patrons, why do they feel the need to pre cover these? In general, this location has really degraded in food quality and service... I'm assuming because the focus has been on the new book Coney BBQ location. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
