Predictions For 2005/2006

Since this is already starting to happen, I figured I'd start a thread about 06.

2005- I also see the Nick parade coming back, but being bigger, longer, more exciting, and maybe even messier. My guess is that it will be a limited-time attraction like this year.

2005- I believe that the Paramount Theatre will have a great show next year. It seems like they got all of that new technology and didn't know what to do with it. I see audience participation, wonderful technology, and hopefully special effects.

2005- I think we'll see a return of Winterfest next year...I really do. I think it will be an elaborate celebreation, but it will get terrible reviews on here because the lines for rides will be long, and they will have a very tiny, tiny handful or rides open.

2005- I think that next year the Timberwolf will have a respectable amount of shows sleighted now that the House of Blues has seen that the venue can in fact attract people.

2006- My predictions- If everything about the Tiques going away for a while is true, I think that most of you are right in saying that they will come back as a kid-oriented themed attraction in 06.

Don't fret, because I have a feeling that we have a big flat coming in 06. Some sort of record breaker. Probably not Huss, maybe Zamperela. It has been the trend of PKI to attract both kids and adults in the same year. (Hence the SDATHC/Delirium connection).

Make your predictions here... and for the love of God, it's not going to be a freakin' B&M in 06!

I say B&M inverted. Well, maybe not. Anyway, I don't know about 2006, but a new flat would be cool. Only now can I say this since we are getting a coaster in '05. A revamp of the antique cars that will have a nick theme to it. They may replace the cars as well because from what I have heard, it is becoming expesive to maintain the cars as they are.

I don't think they will replace the cars.

If they do replace the cars I predict that they will be electric powered.

Beast and SOB will get more work done to them.

I think something new will go in at Preston T's or it will be removed.

Next big ride will come in 07 or 08.

You will be seeing more of everything to do with Viacom in the park.

I predict that in 2006......

-The tiques will be back but bolder and brighter and will be called Nicktoons ToonPike they will have pictures of Nick Characters on the side of the cars.

-A new ride will be added to Nick Centrel

-Something for the thrill seekers :D

-Winterfest making its long awaited return

-I have to admit I would like to see PKI add a Spongebob Squarepants Dark ride or if not that Spongebob Boatmobiles I would like to see a spongebob ride in the park besides the 3D ride.

That was all that I was really saying...that they cars may be replaced with electric ones. 2006 is a big mystery to me. We have received new rides/attractions of every flavor recently....ie. IJ: Stunt Track, Delirium, SDATHC, Boomerang Bay. What's left other than a face lift for Coney Mall or an addition to Coney Mall?

I like to see SOB get some work done with new trains. Return of Winterfest next year. With the old cars gone and one of the 4 rides they had open at Winterfest what would take the cars place? I hope a good sit down place to eat with air during the hot summer days. Also fix the park up around Coney Mall.

Yeah, I bet Tiques could've been themed really well for Winterfest. Too bad...Were they back in the original Winterfest?

I was thinking of that today. I bet they could theme Scooby Doo HM with WinterFest also the kids love that ride and big kids also. The only thing I am not sure if PKI would make a path back to FOF with so many trees. Tomber Raider the Ride would also could be theme for WinterFest it they did it right.

I'm gonna say our next fun coaster is going to be in 2020. That way I won't be disappointed every year, like I have been recently. Chances are they'll get a ride for the big kids before 2020. Or maybe that's just me wishful thinking.

Its a family rollercoaster, its for everyone.

I don't like it because it is a family coaster. I'll fall asleep on it. 2 launches, whoop dee doo. The fastest one is about 40 mph. That sucks. I'd rather have Adventure Express Launch. That's not even close to the speed of The Racer. I just don't know when PKI is going to give us a thrilling coaster. So I'm going to prepare 2020 to be something big, that way I won't be let down, year after year, after year, etc.

I am sorry you feel that way. Family coasters like IJst bring in alot more money than a coaster that you couldn't say its the tallest or fastest. Trust me PKI is talking the right step in becoming hollywoodised and more family oriented. Sonn they will be able to spend the 50 million on one ride like universal does.

Dude, give them a break.... you haven't even seen it yet... hell, it hasn't been built yet. Come 2005, if you ride it and then are still unimpressed, then you can *****. For now, just give the thing a chance, WE FINALLY GOT THE COASTER THAT YOU GUYS WANTED.

Well in 06 I am sure it will be a flat.  Since when has the park put two coasters in one right after another?

Actually PKI has done it a couple of times:

Adventure Express in 1991

Top Cat's Taxi Jam in 1992

Top Gun in 1993

and

Scooby's Ghoster Coaster in 1998

Face/ Off in 1999

Son of Beast in 2000

Rugrats Runaway Reptar in 2001

Never say never. If PKI agrees with some that IJ is a family- type coaster, there could be something for the extreme thrill seeker in 2006, or they could put in a major flat.

The fact is nobody knows, but it is fun to guess and speculate.

I am happy that there is a coaster planned for 2005 that looks fun. It doesn't have to be the fastest, biggest or have any -est to be a good, and fun, ride.

I agree BoddaH1994 I may have been in favor of the Addams Family but IJ:ST looks awsome Come 2005 Iam sure it will be a favorite coaster among many on this board.

Why do you think PKI should just be all about you?

I hate to tell you, they are out to make money, and the money lies in family rides to make a FAMILY happy....

Have kids one day, you'll understand.

I pretty much agree with you, PKI_Diana, but, you can't ignore the enthusiast market either. I would venture a guess and say that it is the enthusiasts that make multiple trips to PKI, whereas many families can only go once a season. And, I'm not talking about the families that live in that area either.
