JacksonPKI Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 ^ It looks As though they are keeping the Steel Venom colors, As are most Relocated GL's. Quote

Steel Venom was red and blue, as it was when it was Superman: Ultimate Escape. Cedar Fair did not repaint it while it was at Geauga Lake. It was NEVER yellow. http://www.rcdb.com/ig631.htm?picture=1 Quote

That is not the same color as Steel Venom, the track has been repainted. X flight was repainted at KI when it became Firehawk. Dominator is receiving a new paint scheme at Kings Dominion. So far it seems Thunderhawk is the only one of the relocated GL coasters keeping its original paint scheme. I love Flying Phil's aerial photos. Does this guy fly and shoot at the same time? Quote
PKIDelirium Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 He says on his site that he shoots while flying. Quote
Gordon Bombay Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Eww, Captain Nemo can tell you about how I have gotten sick while flying with him and his father over amusement parks just while shooting, i can't imagine trying to do both. Quote
CoastersRZ Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 It should be noted that VooDoo`s new colors bear a striking resemblance to colors found on another Intamin Impulse coaster in the chain, a la Wicked Twister. Quote

Browntggrr Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 As are most Relocated GL's. Has your parents ever driven you to another park besides KI? Only because, when you bring up another park, the information you come up with is wrong. Quote
FOFirehawkFAN Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 It should be noted that VooDoo`s new colors bear a striking resemblance to colors found on another Intamin Impulse coaster in the chain, a la Wicked Twister. As well as steel venom at valley fair. And as far as thunderhawk being the only ride without a new paint job it looks like dominator isnt getting one either last I checked. Quote

Wrong,Dominator's new colors will be orange track/dark blue supports. They're probably gonna begin repainting it after construction though much like what they did with Firehawk. Quote

Thats weird that they have pictures obviously taken at GL of it on KD's site and the colors of the new logo on KD's site match it perfectly, where did you hear this. Quote

KIBeast Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 And now, it appears that Thunderhawk will be back to its' original colors. Quote
The Interpreter Posted February 22, 2008 Author Posted February 22, 2008 And now there is an update, as of February 15: http://www.flyinphilsphotos.com/amuse/pa/d...08-02-17/album0 Quote
Captain Nemo Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Eww, Captain Nemo can tell you about how I have gotten sick while flying with him and his father over amusement parks just while shooting, i can't imagine trying to do both. Good thing you told me not to do any stunts just before my father was going to do some overbanked turns. I love the photos this guy takes. Taking pics and flying at the same time is not as hard as it seems. Unlike driving, you dont have to keep your eyes in front of you all the time. Quote
