Yeah Why are they Underrated i think Cedar Point is overrated.

Cedar Point overrated? How so? It fully deserves the number one spot.

I agree this list doesn't make much sense, Doesn't KI rank regularly in the top 20 best parks in the world?

Looks like someone didn't study there amusement parks before doing this. Most of those are major parks and shouldn't be on the list. I mean come on Cedar Point? Voted best amusement park so many times, but underrated? Wow. The media is totally clueless about this stuff.

I'm wondering how Aquatica managed to make that list. The park has only been open since March of 2008. I'm not sure how that qualifies as underrated, especially considering that they attracted 950,000 guests in the first 9 months of operation.

In addition, Wikipedia says the park was "an immediate success" and that they reached their first year attendance goal in just 6 months.

Uhh...so a major waterpark gets 950,000 guests in 9 months and that's past their attendance goal, and yet Diamondback has over 1,000,000 rides in just 4 months?

Jackson, confused....

Yeah and just to think, not everyone in the park rides Diamondback, so we've had way over 1 million people just visit the park!

i think they should have not asked the public and have asked Enthusiests like us for help.

I disagree. Many on here have only been to a handful of amusement parks and many of us are clearly biased towards Kings Island. How can they ask us what the best parks in the country are if we havn't been to all of them. I could travel to every park in the country except for Kings Island, then be asked what parks were best. Is it fair that I give an answer without first visiting KI. No. No offense intended but how many parks on that listed have you even visited? According to your signature you've ridden 30 coasters so it can't imply you've been to too many parks.

I myself have only been to 5 of those parks.

1. Adventureland, Iowa

2. Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, California

3. Canobie Lake, New Hampshire

4. Lake Winnie, Georgia (they say Tennessee, though)

5. Silverwood, Idaho

6. Six Flags Great Adventure, New Jersey

7. Dollywood, Tennessee

8. Carowinds, North/South Carolina

9. Silver Dollar City, Missouri

10. Seaworld, Florida

That's my list of parks that don't have anywhere near the renown they richly deserve. Parks like Holiday World, Cedar Point, Kings Island, Knoebels Amusement Resort all get incredible amounts of attention. These don't get anywhere near as much, nationally, as they deserve. And yes, almost immediately someone will start posting other parks that could easily go on this list. I immediately think of Wonderland Amusement Park in Texas, for instance.

Not neccesarily. 1,000,000 rides means that is how many rides have been given, not how riders there have been. I have 25, Darlene Bell have over 500, other people have more than 100. Less than 500,000 people could've given those 1,000,000 rides.

...

Really? Dollywood, SFGAdv, Seaworld? I'm not disagreeing, I just didn't realize those were 'underrated'.
