IndyGuy4KI Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 The remaining sections of the fence are being installed. Won't be long now Looks like they are very close to start testing! Quote
frisbeefan Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 I would think they are getting closer, but I'm not sure if cycle testing will begin today, but it might. Quote
Oldiesmann Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Something must have bumped the camera... It was pointing directly at the pine tree to the left of The Vortex station, and is now offline again Quote
jcgoble3 Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Something must have bumped the camera... It's now pointing directly at the large pine tree to the left of The Vortex station... First it showed this: Then this, which is what you referred to: And now the first webcam isn't working at all. EDIT: Now that I think about it, that first image looks like a hand. Quote
PhantomTheater Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 As of 3:32 WindSeeker 2 cam is working, cam 1 is still down. Quote
dr_humor Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Well some of the last live views of the cam were of test dummies being unloaded. It is not uncommon protocol to have the cams shut off during initial testing, so unless you're at the park, you're not going to see the first runs. Although I am not sure what control CF has over the Fox 19 super-doppler-action cam. Quote
IndyGuy4KI Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 They moved the webcam to I-Street. What webcam you talking about here Hendrick? Quote
KIfan73 Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 ^I'm actually glad...always nice to see I-Street... Quote
IndyGuy4KI Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 WindSeeker 1 is now I street cam I see it now, must has been cached. I had to refresh the page for it to come up. Thanks! Quote
sethdawg17 Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 Testing may begin today or tomorrow, they currently have test dummies in every seat. This is from the distant WindSeeker cam on the website. Quote
beastrider97 Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 The WindSeeker1 is now DB and WindSeeker2 is now IStreet Quote
Snowman Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 The WindSeeker1 is now DB and WindSeeker2 is now IStreet What's funny is above the webcams is text that says, "Check out the progress of the new WindSeeker as it's being built!" Could make for a twilight zone moment for a new visitor to the page. Quote
Hendrick Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 WindSeeker has been slowly rising up the tower today... (not much, just a few feet). I think we might see some testing today. Quote
Jasper Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 I would love to see some testing today and then maybe turn on the light package tonight an let it run. Quote
Oldschool75 Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Seems they don't want anyone to see it test. Unless it's just my phone but fox19 can is gone. Quote

McSalsa Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Seems they don't want anyone to see it test. Unless it's just my phone but fox19 can is gone. That webcam just now happens to be on Kings Island's website, along with the IS and DB cams now. Quote
Dieseltech20 Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 The cam is still on the fox19 website as well. Quote
Creed Bratton Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Found this promo pretty sweet. Love at the bottom where it says "What's up?" This was found on the Fox Webcame site. Quote
74Gibson Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 ^that is a great add. Funny, fun looking and actually it's just cool. I agree about the "what's up" CMH. Pretty clever stuff. I'm happy. I haven't like their adds recently. Quote
The Interpreter Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 I thought WindSeeker was the most recent add...unless you count the dinosaurs.... Oh, wait, you two meant ads.... Terpy, who says never mind the old punster! Quote
flightoffear1996 Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Been really cool if they had seats attached to the back of the seats facing the other way like Invertago. Quote
CoastersRZ Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 I think you mean Invertigo? I think that WindSeeker is cool enough with its awesome new light package. I know I can`t wait to take it for a spin, both during the day and especially at night. Hopefully its ready to spin soon! Quote
The Interpreter Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Not to mention many, if not most, riders will be more fascinated with either looking down or around at the scenery...not at other riders... Remember, it's going to be nearly 30 stories up in the air. Yep, you're up in the air (yes, that was a bush league attempt at a pun!) Quote
CoastersRZ Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Probably the tallest sing most people will ever ride, unless they go out to Las Vegas and ride the swing ride on top of the stratosphere. Talk about an experience! Quote
The Interpreter Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 Indeed...that thing is fun...as is the teeter-totter thingy, and even the Big Shot.... Stratosphere indeed! Quote
CoastersRZ Posted May 5, 2011 Posted May 5, 2011 What about the Sky Jump off of the Stratosphere? By the way, the price tag on that experience is NOT on the cheap side... Quote
