mikejenkins1
It looks like the remaining seats are being installed now... http://www.visitkingsisland.com/public/fun/webcams/index.cfm yep all installed and would guess that starting tomorrow they begin testing and certification. Will probably make it for next weekend barring any unknown issues.
TombRaiderFTW
In case anyone was wondering, here's what WindSeeker's sign looks like. (Haven't seen any pics in the other threads so far, so I thought I'd post it here.)
Jasper
Is the park closed today for a private event or something because it looks like there is people exiting Vortex on the webcam? Sadly if it does open this weekend, I will not be able to make it to the park for the opening, I might be able to do Sunday however we will just have to wait and see. The Interpreter
Yes, today is a park buy-out....
TombRaiderFTW
^ If I recall correctly, P&G usually rents out the park the second day it's open. I could be wrong.
Jasper
I have always wanted to go on a buyout day for a company, are the crowds usually significantly less or more?
The Interpreter
I have always wanted to go on a buyout day for a company, are the crowds usually significantly less or more? Yes. Terpy, who just HAD to (and it's true...some GE days are packed to the gills, some companies have so many non-riders that a packed park has short lines...) CoastersRZ
P&G does NOT rent out the park today. There is another company that is based in Cincinnati that rents out the park today. P&G`s company buy outs of the park typically occur on the third weekend in September, usually the week after GE`s company buy out.
HTCO
I have always wanted to go on a buyout day for a company, are the crowds usually significantly less or more? Let just say, today it will be like a ghost town.
TombRaiderFTW
^^ Thanks for the correction! I knew there was another company that regularly rented out the park, but I couldn't think of its name.

Jasper
The webcam really does not do this thing any justice at all, until you are looking up at it or riding by it on Racer, then you realize that it is huge. Even the ride carriage itself is giant. The lighting package at night is also very nice and looks almost like a carnival ride sometimes. Hendrick
That is so weird Delirium13... Exact same image, exact same post underneath...
The Interpreter
Not anymore! One of the two is the live feed, and the people have moved!
Delirium13
That is weird! When I clicked on the topic again I was so confused. But yes my photo is live feed so unfortunately when the ride opens it will seem like I am calling the carriage full of riders test dummies. The Interpreter
I've been a test dummy once or twice in my life...at least. Sometimes, I even passed! Terpy, who just HAD to
Oldiesmann
Now the main "WindSeeker1" cam is down as well. If I try to view the image directly (which is what I usually do since the actual image is much larger than the size they display it at on their webpage), I just get a "404 not found" error :| The Fox19 camera is still up though. SonofBeast07
I have a feeling that the ride will not be open for at least another month. Just the way the park is acting about things. No need to tell me why it will be open soon, just my feelings about it.

Whatever6750
Maybe they took down the webcam for testing. Just in case something bad happens.
CedarPointer
Maybe they're more concerned about the ride being open on time than they are about fixing a webcam.
RWildman424
Isn't it the same camera that was used for DB? Maybe that particular camera is allergic to testing...
