March 13, 201214 yr Wow, that is an amazing shot. I don't know if I have really seen any aerial shots of Kings Island.
March 14, 201214 yr Interesting... Divided seats, but with buzz bars, no seatbelts or headrests and old-school loading gates. Nice find!
March 15, 201214 yr Once again...I have not had anything interesting to say about the pictures that you have posted over the last few days...but I am still enjoying them, thanks!
March 15, 201214 yr Photo #73 The headrests were introduced in 1986 on The Beast and Racer. The buzz bars were replaced by the current individual lap bars in 1991 on both coasters, but were tested on one car of the blue train on the forward side of The Racer after Labor Day in 1990.
March 15, 201214 yr Photo #69 Does anyone know if this is the paint scheme the monorail cars opened with initially? Is this the original paint scheme the monorail cars opened with initially? Edited to avoid inevitable answer by Interpreter or someone who's learned from him, since apparently I didn't.
March 15, 201214 yr Does anyone know if this is the paint scheme the monorail cars opened with initially? You should rephrase your question before you know who comes on here!
March 15, 201214 yr Does anyone know if the park still has anything left from The Bat? Not talking about things on the ground or holes notched about doorways- more like signs, logos, or theming.
March 15, 201214 yr Is it just me, or does The Bat's track look very red in that picutre? I was always under the impression the track was orange. Also, does that sign still exist, and if so, is it still in the park?
March 15, 201214 yr it would be interesting if one of the old trains were still around. The track was red with black supports. would have been pretty cool (i think) if when the name "Top Gun" met its demise, the CF Brass renamed the coaster "The Bat," "Bat's Revenge" etc... and gave it the old color scheme. the layout of the track is very attune to that of a bat- moreso than a flight deck; there aren't too many flight patterns that go around trees like that... but bats do.
March 15, 201214 yr And the parking lot looks so black... Speaking of the parking lot, has it ever been repaved? Random question but just wanted to know.
March 16, 201214 yr And the parking lot looks so black... Speaking of the parking lot, has it ever been repaved? Random question but just wanted to know. It doesn't appear so as I drive by, but that's going 70 on the highway, so take my word at 100%. They've definently done something though, they've torn up a small part of the pavement, looks like perhaps they're going to put in some grass/curb dividers b/w regular parking and gold parking, if I had to guess, but its hard to tell for sure from I-71.
March 16, 201214 yr I think he was asking if it has ever been repaved, and judging from old pics, compared to what the parking lot looks like now, I would venture to say yes, because it looks like two different materials were used in those pavings.
March 16, 201214 yr Photo # 75 [KI theater] I love how you can see the path people beat in the grass from the Midway patio to the carousel.

I've seen it now, it is really bad. But I was referring to any time in the past, not right now.
March 16, 201214 yr The powers that be have invested lots and lots of dollars on those pot holes and it takes a lot of effort to maintain those pot holes in their original condition!
