CedarPointer Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Stitch's Great Escape is just gross, first of all, and the over the shoulder harnesses (if they still have them, it's been five years since I last went...) are so annoying and uncomfortable. Also, it tried too hard to be funny... And I don't appreciate Disney characters farting in my face. That includes you, Figment and Claire. Quote
countess_of_tuscany Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 This one is going to hurt a little, because I really, really love AE; except for that awesome build-up to the...station! Hahaha! This reminds me of the first time I went to KI in 2008, Jeff (count_of_tuscany) had told me that a certain ride at KI called Adventure Express has a huge surprise at the end, he literally played it up for almost a year. He told me not to look online about it, because he wanted me to be surprised. He said the ending was AWESOME! I was soo pumped! We went up that last lift-hill and I was expecting something amazing! Instead, I got the station . I laughed so hard because I totally fell for it! We did the same thing to my mom the next year when she came to KI for the first time! She had the same reaction as me! 2 Quote
spitfire Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 The only one coming to mind is The Crypt. Was great as TR, but yeah. I'm sure there are others but nothing is coming to mind right now. Quote
Jr for Birdy Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 The Crypt was lame but was a great break from the heat!!!! Now i remember why i would always ride it mid afternoon Quote
Diamondbacker Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Only rode Crypt once. Didn't really like it. Quote
LongLiveTheSmurfRide Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Tomb Raider. Even before it was the Crypt it was a bad ride, IMO. Went on media preview night when it opened and was sorely disappointed. Quote
flightoffear1996 Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 The crypt had two programs. I liked the 1st which i think was the same as the Crypt at KDs Quote
The Interpreter Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Crypt had more than two programs. None were the same as Crypt at Kings Dominion. The Kings Island Crypt was a Giant Top Spin. Kings Dominion's is a Top Spin. They are not the same ride. Quote
girlafraid Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Probably a ski lift ride, it kept stopping on me, and it took forever! Where? Curious Terpy Well as my grandmother says "curiosity killed the cat", it was either in Tennessee or Ohio i want to say Tennessee. I think there's a ski-lift thingy in Gatlinburg, TN. Remember it as a child and once in the 90's sometimes. Was kinda cold. Quote
Titan Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 I remember riding a haunted mansion ride a few years ago at a local carnival. I was expecting those corny carnival effects. However it ended up being all black walls with a few mirrors duct taped on them and I think the ride lasted 25-30 seconds. I was so mad, that when we got back to the loading/unloading dock I jammed the restraint bar up and it ended up falling off....... Quote
BB1 Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Infact I rode that in 05 it was a good ride up the one I stated was actually in ohio the more I think of it. Quote
Vortex Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Stitches Great escape is about the same as Alien Encounter. I been on both version of Alien. My dumbest ride is Journey into YOUR imagination. Quote
RollerCoasterRoyalty Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 Oh this is easy for me Any ride at Carowinds other than the Intimidator. I didnt like my trip there. I honestly dont have a real reason but i am so used to Cedar Point i guess. Quote
KIfan1980 Posted May 9, 2012 Posted May 9, 2012 The Roller Coaster at New York, New York Casino, formerly known as Manhatten Express. AKA Manhurtin' Express... You guys are talking boring rides in Vegas and chose this over High Roller? While I would agree that coaster is painful, High Roller was just such a let down as a ride. Great concept (coaster on top of 1000' tower), Great opportunity (unbeleivable views), poor execution (less exciting than most kiddie coasters - Great Pumpkin style). Quote
Elkman Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 Rides aren't dumb, perhaps poorly conceived, but not dumb. 1 Quote
Thrill_Biscuit Posted May 10, 2012 Posted May 10, 2012 BLSC and AE have their dumb elements, but they're pretty fun to ride. I haven't ridden anything in my life that was both dumb AND boring (so, of course, I never rode Crypt). Quote
jbt Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 Well, considering that replaced ... Not nearly as bad as when they replaced with Worst ride? Mission Space, no contest. 1 Quote

That coaster wasn't much fun, at all. Quote
Tanna Posted May 12, 2012 Posted May 12, 2012 What is the dumbest/worst/most boring ride you guys have ever been on? This thing: The fact is that he didn't even bother to name it. Hands down the wooden shoes that used to be a KI. I had a fear of them breaking loose, and my dying in one. At 12, the worst thing you could think of was dying in a huge fiberglass replica of passé footwear. Quote
girlafraid Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 I loved the shoes! Was the warm up for the rest of the park and everyone could ride them. Quote
rsipus13 Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 the WindSeeker isnt that good either I liked rideing WindSeeker, its not the most thrilling ride, but you do get a nice view. Quote
Jr for Birdy Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 I just want to ride the WindSeeker evac. ride! 1 Quote
DontWantToWait42mar0 Posted April 19, 2013 Posted April 19, 2013 The Beast. So glad its gone now. Quote
jdawg1998 Posted April 19, 2013 Author Posted April 19, 2013 The Beast. So glad its gone now. You're banished from Kings Island Central for your mistake. Never make it again. 9 Quote
Oldiesmann Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 The Crypt in its final years. Runners up: Boring: Woodstock's Whirlybirds (at least when you're by yourself - if you have a kid with you it might be more exciting) XTreme Skyflier (initial drop is fun, but I didn't think it was worth paying for) Dumb: Ghoster Coaster (exciting for the kiddies, but rather painful for the adults - especially those who are tall and/or male...) 1 Quote
jcgoble3 Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Slingshot. Less thrilling than watching paint dry. 2 Quote
