SonofBaconator Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 What do you think will happen to Son of Beast. My uncle works for the city of Mason and inspects where the supports of each new ride to make sure its safe. He said that it would cost too much to fix it and too much to take it down. I honestly think that Kings Island is hoping for a good fire. Quote

SonofBaconator Posted June 18, 2012 Author Posted June 18, 2012 They should sell the parts or something. They'd make a ton of money even though its just a piece of wood. Quote
bkroz Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Can we institue a short written essay graded by a moderator using an available rubric as a prerequisite for joining this forum? Also, what's the age limit, and how is that enforced? 1 Quote
The Interpreter Posted June 18, 2012 Posted June 18, 2012 Age is not necessarily a substitute for maturity. Some of our youngest posters are among our wisest and most mature. See ohiocolts for one example. Without parental consent, 13 is the minimum age. Quote
SonofBaconator Posted June 18, 2012 Author Posted June 18, 2012 Sorry, I'm just annoyed about all the rumors I hear about SOB. Personally I just want it to be gone for good. Quote

TheCrypt Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 ^I think our "What's Next for Son of Beast" topic should go on for at least a few more thousand posts before a decision is made. Quote
jcgoble3 Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 I already used the report function on this thread. Quote
rtwilkers Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Their is alot of land located where SOB sits, people give the excuse of its in a valley and goes low so how would people be able to actually get on the ride. Ki could easily fill in a small ramp downhill and pave over that, just look all around you dirt is every where. haha! Quote

Outdoor Man Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 i think Paramount should make a reprise visit to film an action movie where the coaster is systematically destroyed by Tom Cruise and the IMF for the upcoming Mission Impossible V. Really, think about it. if the coaster is going to come down, it should do so in a "blaze of glory"- = publicity for KI = $$$'s at the gates. Quote

I'd pay to see it come down, also so these threads would go away! Quote
standbyme Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 ... also so these threads would go away! I think it was Shaggy who said YEARS ago that after SOB was gone people would then start waxing nostalgically about how it was such a great ride and what a shame it was that it was gone...so these sob'n SOB threads are never ever truly going away. 1 Quote
Sonofbeast2.0 Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 matter of opinion about it being a good ride. that was my favorite coaster. i wish it was open. some hate some love. dogs barks and cats meow. Quote

westcoaster Posted June 23, 2012 Posted June 23, 2012 Cedar Fair owns the rights to Paramount parks for 10 years , I'd call the directors, writes and producers for Mission Impossible 3 for the biggest, destruction of a amusement ride ever! That is a great plan, Quote
