  • Well its been a fun one.. So long Starting to Decode 2014!

  • You know, I chuckle at this thread. The more I read it... which is pretty much daily now... the more I become amused. Why? It's a near carbon copy of about a dozen other threads related to KI throu

For those waiting for when we'll announce what we're building for the future, you might want to grab yourself a Snickers bar. It's going to be awhile. We still have the majority of the 2013 season

Just wait before long we will be talking about how much track is up.

Just 3 years ago we were discussing the moving dirt piles.

Yes, Don told us that there was no ground being broken, well we rode Drop Tower, and we saw dirt. TONS OR DIRT! It looked like Don lied to us...sad.gif But it looks like something is going down in the territory of SOB, and it may be somewhere to put new track, or something else?

Perhaps the ride will be call EVOLUTION. ;)

Its funny, cause I remember that like it was yesterday.. but it wasn't. Now I just feel old.

And its hard to see but from Adventure Express you could see construction equipment building more footers out leading to that big cleared out area behind Adventure Express

I can't tell much difference at the construction site between now and May 21 when other pics were taken.

Took this photo yesterday July 18.

Wow. The Bier Garten looks really nice from the tower.

Sorry :/ Carry on decoding!

And since we see no other work/clearing beyond the area behind AE (the valley), do we assume that is as far out as this ride will go?

About being stuck in 90's its not a bad thing, I mean coney mall is stuck in the 60's and know one complains.

Will there be a new land though at the park when x base needs more stuff and restrooms/food to become the next land.

Ki is not really lands anymore but one big park, with less theming time and time again:

I like less theming and more rides. Its cheaper for the park as well to not have to maintain theming.

What about if the theming going on is just trying to get us to think the ride is going to be dark? I don't know if this has already been brought up or not. Because with all this dark themed stuff I'm thinking something not dark themed its kind of like how everyone thought Diamondback was going to be mustang.....

I think the Bier Garten remodel has gotten kind of overlooked this season with everything else going on, but it does look amazing.

I rode AE on Weds morning. The new ride will abut right up to the existing AE structure. Literally 20-25 feet away. Lots of work going on there.

Them new footings they started are some of the biggest I think I have seen. It's getting more interesting now.

all the work done up to this point Is the twister finale. footers will start being poured way out there....Sorry for my picture if it does not match the footers its just an rough idea.kicoaster_zps6c513f79.jpg

As soon as Cedar Point announces that they are removing Mantis....Kings Island will announce their new ride...lmao! I know, won't happen, but a lot of the footer patterns, maybe updated a bit, somewhat resemble the layout of Mantis! Boy would all of you be upset!

Maybe another roller coaster based around a monster like creature and they could be also inside and may add an animontronic I don't know

Which is exactly one dollar bill won't get yah anywhere.

Unless you are in a Gentlemen's Club!

Pki could have installed a sweet coaster for what they invested into that piece.

Yeah KI blew $40.5 million dollars on Crypt and SOB. That doesn't include the removal prices as well.

I thought the 40 million figure was just for Son of Beast. Tomb Raider cost the park 20 million.

They also blew that one, badly. We all knew exactly what it was long before the ride was announced, and then a few days prior to the announcement, they idiotically put up a Gatekeeper page on their web site that everyone saw. So, when the ride was actually announced, few were actually suprised.

The Kings Island Project 2014 is going along much, much better as far as keeping it under wraps is considered.

Another one of my great epiphanies.....

No track spotted at Batavia yet?.......

No problem!.........

B&M's latest concoction - the track-less coaster,

And King's Island is getting the very first one, a prototype, if you will, called LEVITATION.

With no visible track, riders have absolutely no idea what's coming next.

It's extra thrilling in the dark - it will make you scream like a Banshee!

SeaWorld might tell you that is a bad idea, while Disney may say it is a great idea!

Maybe he's just really excited to see Monsters Inc?

Who isn't?

I would estimate that I am 95% sure the new ride will be announced September 8th, which so happens to be the same date as the KICentral event.

Being a part of KIC is so cool, and it looks like Don is rolling out the red carpet for us.

Bodda(screen name after Patrick swayze in Point Break?) said the agenda would not be disclosed till the night before or something to that effect. Maybe we will get 1/2 off season passes as well.
