Banshee Construction Progress

I hope Banshee doesn't make turns at high speeds. I hate when Raptor goes through the Corkscrew or Cobra Roll at almost full speed. I have to stick my head to the side of the restraint!

We did not mention all the statistics during the announcement because statistics are not what make a roller coaster great; it's the ride experience it delivers that makes it great.

  • It's good to see me, isn't it? No need to respond! That was rhetorical. Under 30 days until Banshee makes its public debut! We can't wait for you to come out and experience this ride.

We have guests that are more excited about our live shows than our roller coasters, that visit the park specifically for the shows. For these guests, the Cirque Imagine announcement was as exciting as

I think it will be pretty smooth since Banshee has neither a cobra roll or a corkscrew

So I have one main question....If any of you would like to help answer.....Is SlingShot preparing to bite the dust or is it just not in the videos?

Slingshot is staying. It can be seen in the "offride" video:

Where in the video did you see it? Am I just blind? (which wouldn't surprise me)

Also, it looks like someone was a little ambitious with Firehawk's height at the 0:56 mark :)

No Sling Shot in the video, but I think they were just bringing attention to Banshee, no need to bring attention to Singshot!

mantisman, that is skyflier you see at 0:08, that is all Skylier!

I wouldn't mind seeing Slingshot move to X-base. It would fit the theme there. But of course, it would still be visible in the video if they were planning to move it there and if the video mattered at all for that.

Overall, unless Banshee NEEDED that area, I don't see Slingshot moving. And if Bashee DID need that area, you would see Slingshot moved, not removed. No way the park would get rid of a successful upcharge. Thunder Alley was probably not making much since the karts were gas-powered and you had to pay two or three attendants to run it. Slingshot makes money hand-over-fist, or at least it sure looks that way.

There is no Invertigo or Adventure Express in the video. That doesn't mean they are going to go. I just think slingshot was in the way on the pov so they just trashed it from the video

I normally go to Action Zone only once during my trips to KI. I haven't really enjoyed that section of the park since Son of Beast went SBNO. Now that Banshee is there I will probably spend the majority of my time in the good ole' Action Zone! I can't wait to see the whole area complete.

Just a little favor for Kings Island, please make the cirular area that holds the Banshee sign a fountain! That would complete all of my wishes!!

Just because something isn't in the rendering doesn't mean it is being removed.

Adventure Express for example.

The opposite is also true.

Just because something is in the renderings doesn't mean it will be there.

All those Trees for example.

That is one of the things I am worried about. That area is going to look like a baron wasteland If they don't plant a lot of trees.

No headbanging with the Gatekeeperesque restraints. Fast elements = force.

I like slingshot. I hope they don't remove it.

When did the decoding thread get unlocked? I thought I clicked on the "Construction Progress" thread.

Did anyone else notice that Banshee's supports match the color of Delirium's? I personally think they both go great together.

This might have been brought up before but does anyone think Action Zone Might be re themed to a Halloween type zone? Banshee looks like a very fun coaster and I love the color scheme but it doesn't match up to that area at all, Just my thoughts.

If you guys wanna do a bit more decoding, once the track starts to arrive look for track like this. If it has these holes and its not a long straight section it's probably going to have trims. Then again it could be like Patriot and they just opt to have them there just in case they wanna add a trim later.

I just noticed in the Diamondback animated POV it showed it's trim brake. Here's to hoping this is a good sign for Banshee!

At the 0:48 mark you can see it.

Ok I'm confused someone explain what this trim stuff means please?

A trim brake trims the speed of the coaster. Just like it sounds like.

Ok so this is different than an MCRB? I haven't seen what looks like ANY set of brakes at any point during the ride on Banshee, and don't see that happening since it was said the 68mph would be reached during the second half of the ride.

A MCBR can STOP a train if need be. Trim brakes normally cannot.

Mantis rather famously got trim brakes installed on its first drop after it opened.
