CP&LERR Fan Posted August 19, 2013 Author Posted August 19, 2013 So is the house inside old fort coney haunted? That depends.....do you believe in ghost? Yes Quote
Stoan Posted August 21, 2013 Posted August 21, 2013 I'd really like to see Cedar Fair fix up some of those buildings on the train ride, Fort Coney is looking really ragged. Quote
Jtsebas Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Is Old Fort Coney still in the park? Does anyone have pictures of the old house inside the fort? 1 Quote
medford Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 yes....beating Terp to the bunch on at least the 2nd part. Don't know about the 1st part, but not sure why they'd take it down unless they were going to do something with that area. Quote
Magenta Lizard Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 The sun was just right when I rode the train on Sunday that I could make out the roof of the house inside the fort through the gaps of the fort boards. No idea what shape it is in, but it's apparently still there. Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Yeah, the house is still there. You can see the chimney rather easily from the train. The house is in really rough shape. I wouldn't want to live there. They use it for storage of random stuff. I think they have old Drop Tower restraints in there. Quote

AZ Kinda Guy Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Why am I just now seeing that old aerial shot on page 2? Anyone know the story with the strange labels on said picture? Edit: Educate me. Was the train route altered after that aerial picture was taken? If so, presumably for the addition of the waterpark? 3 Quote
beastfan11 Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 No definite answers here, but I think I recall reading about a re-routing due to the opening of Water Works. Quote
westcoaster Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Bring back the nostalgia of the ride, not just a transport to the Soak City, but it was awesome at Winter Fest when it came back a story, a talk, and theme. Quote
