MantisMan Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Always wondered, how do you say "Carowinds"? Is is care-oh-winds or car-oh-winds? The location of the park should be a pretty good hint. 3 Quote
The Interpreter Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Always wondered, how do you say "Carowinds"? Is is care-oh-winds or car-oh-winds? No. It's Care-uh-winds. It's not Care-oh-line-uh. 7 Quote

Bennett Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 **EDIT: I can't help but thinking "where would will something like this go at Kings Island"? Where would I put it? Behind Congo Falls and Timberwolf, running onto the vast space still left from SOB. Tons of room in the park still. 10 Quote
silver2005 Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 I say start it in X-Base behind Firehawk, make it head behind AE and Banshee into the boneyard and then back. It may be enough to put restrooms back there. 12 Quote
JubJester Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Fury 325 is testing right now. See here: https://www.carowinds.com/online-fun/webcams 4 Quote
TheBEASTunchained Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 As I continue to watch The Swarm fly its course repeatedly this evening, I can't help but ask Matt Ouimet and Cedar Fair....... Can we have one???? Please? Please? Please?????...... As if I'm the jealous child who happens to see what the neighbors children got for Christmas...... 4 Quote
The Interpreter Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Kings Island's big year was 2014. It's not like it's Valleyfair! or Dorney Park or Michigan's Adventure. Or Worlds of Fun, California's Great America... 2 Quote
thekidd33 Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Is it just me or does it seem like there is a lot of work left on the new entrance to get done in the next 3 weeks? 4 Quote
JubJester Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 It seems like there is water spilling out of the dummies (only on one train this happens) during the drop. (Image taken from Carowinds' webcam https://www.carowinds.com/online-fun/webcams ) 10 Quote
Creed Bratton Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Acording to Mike Fehnel, Carowind's GM and Vice President, it was just residual water from the bleeding out of water from the some test dummies.https://twitter.com/mikefehnel/status/574723959779950594 5 Quote
homestar92 Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 I just saw someone comment online that Dragster is taller, faster, and more fun than Fury. I'm jealous. If this guy knows that Fury is less fun, then he mush have ridden it. I wish they would have let me ride it early, too... 8 Quote

Fury looks fun, but doesnt seem to offer up a largely different experience than other coasters I have ridden.... so for me I can confidently say without a doubt, that TTD may/should/probably could be more fun than Fury..... 2 Quote

Well, I will not comment on anything that I have not been on. Having said that I prefer Magnum XL-200, Maverick, and MF (in that order) more so than TTD. WIth that logic, TTD is just a taller version of Xcelerator with one less element. An 18 second ride is not what I generally prefer over a 3 minute ride. 6 Quote
homestar92 Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Not to mention, if Fury is anything like Leviathan, it will be a bit of a sleeper. From POVs, Leviathan looked like just a taller B&M Hyper. After riding it, the experience was SO different. 8 Quote
TheBEASTunchained Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Kings Island's big year was 2014. It's not like it's Valleyfair! or Dorney Park or Michigan's Adventure. Or Worlds of Fun, California's Great America... Indeed. And I understand that. The beauty of Banshee is not to be matched, and with that being said, I don't think I could have asked for a better addition at Kings Island than Banshee, quite frankly, I'll probably never stop applauding the park for this HUGE 2014 addition. My point was simply how awesome it would be to see / ride a B&M Giga Coaster similar to Fury 325 at Kings Island sometime in the future. Especially after watching Fury 325 testing. Anyway..... I don't know about you guys but I can't wait to go ride Fury 325! I guess, as put by Carowinds itself, you could say I have FuryFever! 4 Quote

APE Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 You're definitly going to feel noticeable airtime on the last three hills of this thing I just watched water shoot out of the dummies on all three spots. 6 Quote
