Stitch
I wanted to get a consensus from the KI Central community and see which film is the most popular amongst the users. I have only ridden 7th Portal, Superstition and Spongebob Squarepants 3-D. Every time I would try to ride Meteor Attack, it would be closed and I saw 007 open but passed on it at the time. My personal favorite is 7th Portal, I think it had good use of 3-D and a variety of sensations throughout.
PhantomTheaterKiss
I love so many of them, but nothing was as epic as Days of Thunder. Specifically because it was fairly new technology for theme parks (at least ones I had been too) and I remember after riding it I spent days telling friends and family about Days of Thunder and how awesome it was.
CedarPointer
I only ever was there when it was Spongebob 3D, but I really do miss the moving seats.
ZeroGee
Days of Thunder . I even liked the cheesy intro with Kyle Petty that was shown on monitors before you entered the theater .
benred23
nothing beat it when it was days of Thunder when it first opened. They had the mock nascar scene set up in the entrance que with a Director calling the shots and the 2 nascar cars spinning on turn tables right before you entered the theater.. Awesome!!!
benred23
Saw this and had to share...
Stitch
I have tried to find the footage for Days Of Thunder (Ride) and came up with nothing. I've always wanted to see what made it so special to people that rode it. Heck, it's hard to come by pictures of the theater themeing even. Kyle100991
Days of Thunder!! Thats my favorite movie of all time and the ride Kings Island had was awesome. Im a huge NASCAR fan and all the props they had set up made it even better.
TTD-120-420
Have only seen SpongeBob, so I went with that.

VortexBFForever
SpongeBob SquarePants 3D was the only thing I saw as well. I thought it was pretty fun! (note that I rode it when I was 9 and another time when I was 11) In all honesty, I would be more up to doing Dinosaurs Alive! 3D if they still had the moving chairs in there. MDMC01
Since I've only seen 7th Portal and SpongeBob, I voted for SpongeBob because I think it's a great 3D film I remember watching 7th Portal but I don't remember what I thought of it... EDIT: I just watched the 7th Portal video posted and it looked cool (especially the music); unfortunately, the video doesn't bring back memories as I know that I watched it, but don't remember much of it... beastfan11
I think you forgot some. Elvira's Superstition was ditched for a year and replaced by another film: "Dracula's Castle," or something of that nature. I also remember something like a "fun house" type movie being shown during HH/FF one year. Neither were anything fantastic in my opinion. teenageninja
It was Dracula's Haunted Castle and it was so awful it should never be spoken of again.
flightoffear1996
So the moving chairs are all gone? Days of Thunder was by far the best but I liked James Bond as well.
Spectrum91
As beastfan11 mentioned, there have been three different Haunt films (Elvira's Superstition, Dracula's Haunted Castle, and Fun House Express). I recall there also being some "lost temple" simulator of some sort at some point, although I can't remember the name of it for the life of me. DontWantToWait42mar0
James Bond and Days of Thunder.
thekidd33
Days of Thunder was my first 'thrill' ride ever at KI and it instantly made me fall in love with the place. I asked my parents everyday the rest of the summer if we could go back and ride it.
RollerNut
Secrets of The Lost Temple, basically a knock off of Indy flims. Only lasted half the season at Carowinds and was then replaced with Smash Factory I think. The SimEx generic fllms were nothing compared to the Paramount Parks backed ones.

Stitch
Did the Lost Temple one even play at Kings Island?
Spectrum91
^Yes, it was briefly shown in the B-side. Sometime between 2001-2005, although I'm not entirely sure when.
Stitch
I thought so but I couldn't put my finger on an exact date either. I would assume it was around after Tomb Raider, for obvious reasons.

The Interpreter
Smash Factory was a VERY violent experience. And so bad that like a campy movie, it was hysterical. I laughed myself silly at that thing, time and again.
Sonofbeast2.0
I hope they gut the dino thing and change it back to moving seats and possibly do a 3D ride with Snoopy or something. Ohhh maybe a prequel to Boo's Blaster to make sense of the ride! Find out how they started and then enter a big haunted mansion and see the things they do on a daily basis. Give the Boo's Blasters ride a bit of a overhaul and make it more exciting too.

The seats and ride controls are long gone.
jcgoble3
The seats, I believe, are sitting in a backstage area between the picnic grove and the parking lot. I think they can be seen on Google Maps. Transmitted from Wild Space via my datapad's DROID brain

Transmitted from Wild Space via my datapad's DROID brain There may still be some, but it's my understanding that most were sent off as spare parts to the park's that still had them at the time. The ride's controls are gone and the Technifex projector was replaced with a new digital projector for the Dinosaur attraction.
