Captain Nemo
Love the FoF construction pic. I'd love to see photos from inside FoF while running with people. That's something I have never seen.

thatbandguy8807
amazing pictures as always...how long did the hiking trail last at KI? I never knew there was one there. It opened in 1973, and I'm 90% sure it ceased operation for Beast construction. thanks I figured it probably went out around that time. I'm just surprised I haven't heard anything about it until now
CoastersRZ
Wonderful photos TG 1993! I even spied the Eli Bridge Ferris Wheel that once operated at Kings Island. Action Zone sure looked a lot different in 1993 when both the wild animal habitat and Top Gun were there. I think of all the areas of the park, Action Zone/Adventure Village/Animal Habitat area have seen the most amount of changes over the years.
jandyb79
I hate to see this thread die, so I came across a few interesting galleries online. Someone has done a fantastic job of cataloging nearly every Kings Island map from the opening season until present. If CF would have purchased the park with KCKC still operating would it be removed for Diamondback? Would Diamondback look the same? Would Mystic have ever been built? It seems despite the poor placement of TRTR it left an abundance of land for the park down the road allowing them to build a hyper coaster and a good sized GCI

Hawaiian Coasters 325
So the entrance was pretty much where Diamondback's helix is? Tbh I say they should just remove the former Crypt building entirely instead of putting something in it unless they do a major overhaul of the exterior of the building. Imo it's just a big metal wearhouse that doesn't fit the theme of Rivertown. Use that plot of land for something new that fits the theme of Rivertown that doesn't look tacky and out of place (like the current building does)
