Oldiesmann
thanks for the pic. They didn't have the sign on around 11:30 last night driving home from the office, nor was it on this morning at 7:00 driving into the office, I wonder why they turned it off last night. They're probably still testing it and getting it programmed.
Gabe
The nice thing about these signs is that they are dymamic and can be programmed from an offsite location quite easily. If they wanted to offer up different specials throughout the day, this sign would be able to advertise that quite easily. As for the brightness, the lumonosity is dialed down at night so as to prevent nighttime drivers from being momentarily blinded. Most casinos in Vegas use a similar type of marquee if you're looking for comparsions.
DJSkyFoxx
Looks awesome! That's pretty much what I had in mind about what it would look like! That is definitely going to draw more eyes to the sign!
sheikra_rocks
I seen it tonight when I was at the park for training. It indeed looks awesome, and much better than it did. Much better at night though.

jcgoble3
It's a reference to an indoor family entertainment center in the north end of Dayton called Scene75.
xXDrummerKiDXx
Scene 75 is really nice indoor entertainment place. Game room, arcade, bounce house, go-karts, glow-in-the-dark golf. A very fun place. Jcgoble -__-

marlfox_21
No, I'm talking about the logo on the sign. Your pictures that you posted earlier of the marquee from 1981 used Kings Island's original, personalized logo which looked better than the ones from the Paramount era and Cedar Fair.I agree on the logo. I prefer the vintage look and appreciate the uniqueness of it, but a logo is a companies identity and this is a new company. I am glad, however, to see that the vintage logo is still used on some apparel in their gift shops. The storm was in late September of 2003. http://www.enquirer.com/editions/2003/09/27/loc_mday.html Nice to see Kings Island's elaborate new goal posts coming along nicely ...That's what I get for not fact checking It was also night of Pride Night that year. (I only know cause I worked that evening, apart from the weather it was fun. I love Pride Night). Yes, it was pridenight. I remember working/training for "fear fest" and as I was walking to my car to leave for the night, the sky was getting very dark, and I could hear the weather statement going off inside of the park. I looked at the sign and it said something about welcoming guests for gay/lesbian pride night. It was the very last thing I ever saw it say, as it was a twisted mess by the next morning.
Spectrum91
For anybody who saw the marquee over the past month, the new screen itself looks great - it's very vibrant and bright. The graphics though were mediocre at best - it almost looks like someone sat down, opened up Microsoft PowerPoint, and tried making the graphics on that. They were that bad. Thankfully, as of today or earlier, the screen's graphics look GREAT! They're now animated, colorful, and easy to read (formerly, the font choices and colors were horrid). The Dinosaurs Alive! one "chomps" down on the text, the "Connect with us" screen shows large social media icons and legible URLs, the military admission advert has a waving American flag. All in all, an awesome change to the sign.
