Hendrick
I'm sure the launch has something to do with it, however the top two pictures have a cylinder shape on the bottom of the track, not B&M's traditional box shape.

Son of King Demon Bat
It's BEAUTIUL track! It's NEW! It's B&M!
KI FANATIC 37
I'm not a fan of the orange, but I'm sure the ride experience will make up for it!

I believe that's called a "support". Guess I didn't catch that it was separate from the track itself.
LovinMeSomeBanshee
Such an awful vantage point for the construction cam. I'm assuming it's of the barn, the in-line roll and the brake run, correct? That means no station, no Immelman, no loop, etc.
MantisMan
Nope....station, launch & power house.
LovinMeSomeBanshee
What is the building that is currently under construction directly in front of the cam? I'm just trying to understand the orientation of the camera. Are we looking at the power house, while the station will be to its left and the brake run/in-line roll will be behind the power house? MantisMan
View is "roughly" in the area of the train looking towards the station in this pic....

TTD-120-420
So if this ride isn't reliable can we stop making so much fun of Intamin? At least from a reliability stand point (ejections and things like Maverick's roll are still fair game). Somewhat sarcastic!
The Interpreter
It's a B and M. It will be reliable. And on time. And within budget.
upstop
^^ and oh so fun too... I like the pumpkin pie orange color as well. It will fit in Thanksgiving very well!.
The Interpreter
I still intend to go off on a Rampage next summer! I adore that thing.
IBEW_Sparky
I am going to make my way to Rampage next year as well... it will be a first time for me, and Im definitely looking forward to it.
upstop
http://youtu.be/jYiXyZwgPB8?t=1m32s Off to Alabama with a banjo on your knee! (actually, Rampage looks like a really fun coaster!)
The Interpreter
It is one of my very favorite wood coasters. Definitely one of the best CCI's. For those who like The Boss....this is very similar, in a much more twisted way.
TombRaiderFTW
^ Don't do that to me! I'm already having trouble trying to contemplate how the heck I'll ever get down to Alabama anytime soon!
The Interpreter
Shouldn't be before next year For most here... Terp, who sometimes borders on saying too much.
coasterfanatic83
I was at Holiday World today. There was a lot of buzz surrounding the sign describing what Thunderbird will be, including several phone calls from parkgoers to their friends/family in a state of disbelief. Entertaining indeed. And the orange color of the track looks fantastic.

The Interpreter
Go back and read your post. Holiday World could not make the claim you proposed. It's not the "World's First Launched Wing Coaster."
APE
I'm sure that I missed reading something or that this has already been discussed.........BUT... Why is Thunderbird being advertised as "The Nation's First Launched Wing Coaster!" instead of "The World's First Launched Wing Coaster!".....? Is another B&M launched wing coaster expected to open before Thunderbird in another country?....... .....Maybe I missed something........ The Interpreter
The public isn't going to know or care about B&M vs. INTAMIN coaster branding. Then again, they mostly wouldn't know about the other coaster. Litigation and truth telling...
KevKenny
I just realized all of the B&M wing coasters in the states are located within 350 miles of Dayton. Just seals the coffin on KI getting one.
