Creed Bratton
I have yet to buy my ticket, I am just below Columbus, in the Canal Winchester area.
CoasterGeek101
Already got my ticket! Should be a sweet event, not sure why they decided to schedule it right around the time when people have exams, but I won't complain. It's on the weekend...I don't think people have exams on the weekend. That's why I said "around the time." My school has exams starting the next Monday. Jdawg needs to work on his reading skills.

Imperial79
I just bought my Kings Island Coasterstock tickets for me and my brother! I can't wait!  Going to be nice to meet some of you.
gforce1994
For those that are staying in hotels a few miles away, what time does the parking gates open on the second day?
malem
The deadline to register and to purchase tickets is tonight at midnight! Don't wait until 11:30pm though, lest you risk missing the deadline (and the event) due to a technical or payment problem.
jcgoble3
I decided a couple nights ago that I will not be doing Coasterstock, as I do not think my budget is capable of surviving two whole busy days at the park (I tend to spend more when the park is busier because I end up doing less riding and more people-watching/photography). I will instead be doing the Color Me Rad 5K that Saturday morning. I might be up for joining the group after ERT for a normal, non-event ride or two, but I will probably leave by early afternoon to save my budget (after I've gotten at least one dining plan meal, of course).

Aaron88stang
I went to the website to check the itinerary for Coasterstock and the event has been removed from the event listings...Is there another way to view the info I am looking for?

PGalati
Fellow park fans, I apologize in advance for this absolute newbie question. This will be my first time attending an event like this other than the Discovery Channel filming of the Son of Beast, but that was a single event. Anyway....  I am not sure what this event is supposed to look like. I assume a gate will be open around 7:30 to let us in to park, but where do we gather to enter the park at 8ish. Do we receive our T-Shirts during the sign in process before entering the park? ERT is from 8 to 10 in the Action Zone, then do we reconvene somewhere around Banshee at 11 to begin the behind the scenes tour? I assume wearing our CoasterStock T-Shirts may help identify the participants from regular park guests. How long is the actual Banshee tour? I can't imagine it being 3 hours. Where is Dinner being served at 5:30 and is it necessary to be there at 5:30? Are we simply park guests between 7:30 and 10:00. Is there a particular place to meet before participating in the evening ride time events?  One more thing, I have a one page ticket each for me and my wife. That ticket works for both days, correct? Do we expect to keep the ticket to use again for Sunday's admission to CoasterStock?  Again, I am sorry there are so many questions, but I don't want to miss anything that I might enjoy, especially looking forward to Beast BTS on Sunday. Thinking about doing the Tuesday event as well.  Any info you can provide would be fantastic. Thanks for your time.
malem
^ I don't have specific information about the logistics of this event, but I can give you information about how these events typically work.   I assume a gate will be open around 7:30 to let us in to park, but where do we gather to enter the park at 8ish.[  ERT starts at 8:00am, so registration should begin before then. I plan to be at the park around 7:00am.   Do we receive our T-Shirts during the sign in process before entering the park?  There will be some sort of check-in process before entering the park, where you will receive a lanyard, badge and/or other credentials needed to access the event. Look for signs or for where other people are lining up. Don't forget to have your event ticket, valid coaster club membership card, and photo ID!  The t-shirt might be handed out when you check in, or it could be handed out later.   ERT is from 8 to 10 in the Action Zone, then do we reconvene somewhere around Banshee at 11 to begin the behind the scenes tour?  People will meet in the designated location prior to the scheduled tour/walkback. Make sure to be on time, or you'll miss the tour!  Check your event badge for any specific details. Look for where others are gathering near Banshee or in The Beast entry plaza, as appropriate.    I assume wearing our CoasterStock T-Shirts may help identify the participants from regular park guests.  Everyone will have some form of credential so that KI associates know who is eligible for tours, meals, ERT, etc. This will probably be a lanyard and badge.  Event t-shirts certainly help as well.    How long is the actual Banshee tour? I can't imagine it being 3 hours.  Ask on the day of. It won't be 3 hours.    Where is Dinner being served at 5:30 and is it necessary to be there at 5:30?  Confirm what time(s) you can arrive for meals when you check in, if this is not specifically addressed on your event badge.  Typically, you don't need to be there immediately when the meal starts.   Are we simply park guests between 7:30 and 10:00.  Yes. Feel free to take time meet up with fellow enthusiasts. It's not every day when they're gathered in large numbers wearing identifying badges.    Is there a particular place to meet before participating in the evening ride time events?  Just go to the entrance of the attraction you want to ride. After the park closes, you will need to show your event credential to enter the queue for ERT   One more thing, I have a one page ticket each for me and my wife. That ticket works for both days, correct? Do we expect to keep the ticket to use again for Sunday's admission to CoasterStock?  Your non-passholder event ticket is valid for admission both Saturday and Sunday. Hang on it it and present it at the front gate to enter the park.  Those with passholder tickets must use their season pass for admission into the park each day.
jsus
I'll take a stab at answering some of your questions, though my answers are derived from previous experience with Cedar Fair and not any official knowledge of CoasterStock 2015 at Kings Island. Much of this information should be made very clear at check-in.  I am not sure what this event is supposed to look like. I assume a gate will be open around 7:30 to let us in to park, but where do we gather to enter the park at 8ish. The parking lot should be open (toll booths may or may not be manned / womanned).  There should be signs at the front gate to direct you to check-in.  For an event of this size, I would guess that check-in will be at the far right end of the ticket area (group sales windows?).  But again, look for the signs and the masses lined up. Do we receive our T-Shirts during the sign in process before entering the park? Presumably, yes, you'll exchange your event ticket for a lanyard (likely containing an itinerary), T-Shirt, and anything else they feel like giving out.  They may give you park tickets or, more likely, will give you back the ticket printed from the web store to use at the gates and for the meal.  Meal entry is one-time-only. At BeastBuzz 2014, we were given back the ticket to be surrendered at meal time (rather than scanning them).   ERT is from 8 to 10 in the Action Zone, then do we reconvene somewhere around Banshee at 11 to begin the behind the scenes tour? Adventure Express is located in Oktoberfest.  Just a technicality.   And, yes, you're free to roam but don't get too far as you'll want to line up 10 minutes or so before 11a to catch the tour.  You may be admitted late, or not.  No reason to chance it, though. I assume wearing our CoasterStock T-Shirts may help identify the participants from regular park guests. That, and likely a lanyard with a laminated card at the end. How long is the actual Banshee tour? I can't imagine it being 3 hours. Probably no more than 15-30 minutes.  Depends how much of a tour it is.  It might just be a simple walk down the concrete next to Ice Scream Zone outside of the dive loop.  Or, it might take a different path and be closer to 45 minutes.  Regardless, if you have a nice camera (i.e. DSLR), bring it.  Get some great shots.  It's worth it. Where is Dinner being served at 5:30 and is it necessary to be there at 5:30? That should be communicated during the check-in process.  I would love to see the meals in International Restaurant.  However, due to capacity reason, plan on Picnic Grove, roughly between Planet Snoopy and Soak City.  They redid some of it this year, supposedly replacing asphalt with concrete, so it should be decent. Dinner at these events is generally buffet-style, so you just come in during meal service and eat until your heart's content.  This by no means needs to last two hours, so you're welcome to come at any point, just make sure you leave enough time before 7:30p.  Don't want security escorting you out..  Oh, and one more thing.  Cedar Point recently started divided larger meal services into two separate groups.  You may be assigned to the first or second hour, for instance.  Pay attention to materials received at check-in. Are we simply park guests between 7:30 and 10:00. On Saturday night, yes.  Technically 10:30p. Is there a particular place to meet before participating in the evening ride time events? At the ride.  Line up.  Marathon.  Have fun. One more thing, I have a one page ticket each for me and my wife. That ticket works for both days, correct? Do we expect to keep the ticket to use again for Sunday's admission to CoasterStock? Again, it depends how they handle this.  They may make it so that the ticket is valid for admission both days but you need meal tickets handed out at check-in.  You'll find out..  at check-in. Again, I am sorry there are so many questions, but I don't want to miss anything that I might enjoy, especially looking forward to Beast BTS on Sunday. Thinking about doing the Tuesday event as well. No need to apologize.  It just shows that you're thinking things through in advance, even if you're over-thinking them.
The Interpreter
Be aware some are allergic to unwashed clothes. Wearing an unwashed item can cause hives, severe rash, sneezing, respiratory distress or worse. Terp, who CANNOT wear new, unlaundered items.
jsus
Ah, but can Terp where a new, unlaundered T-Shirt over top of a laundered T-Shirt?
The Interpreter
Sometimes. And sometimes not. I seem to have less problems with MADE IN USA clothing. Typically, it's too hot to wear two or more shirts at coaster events. Normally, Scooby holds them for me. I am also allergic to most all dry cleaned items.

PGalati
Thanks to all who answered my questions about CoasterStock, this helps a lot. Has KI released any info about the number of tickets sold for CoasterStock? I wonder if Beast ERT will require a full trip around the station to get back in line or if they will open the fastlane lane so you simply make a left instead of a right at the bottom of the exit ramp. When I did Millenium Force Evening Ride Time last year, it started out with about 100 people. After a couple rides it got to the point where we got off and got back on the same train. Fortunately MF has the gate for quick reentry to the queue. 10 Beast rides would be great.  Tag along question, how do I post images in these forums, via URL only?

Mr. Coastermania
Will bad weather change the event or cause it to be rescheduled?
jsus
Maybe. Â Honest. Â Only if the weather is so bad that a significant portion of the event festivities are unable to be held as originally planned. Â I wouldn't count on that happening. Â You'd basically need a freak tornado or all-weekend rainstorm.
Magenta Lizard
Of course, the second option is looking like a possibility on the current forecast. Dang it!

TombRaiderFTW
Have any of you gotten any emails about this event? It seems strange that I haven't received a "be at the front gate at such-and-such time" email at this point. Hopefully my registration went through okay. Perhaps it will be sent out this week. You can go to imgur.com and upload an image there. You then use the URL it gives you (one of them), and put it in the box that pops up after you click the image button. I did get 3 emails but it didn't any anything to do with what time to be at the park. It was about them not seeing the other person I bought the ticket for, I sent them the info then a few days later they sent another talking about it again, and within 10 minutes sent another saying everything was okay and not to worry they found the info.
