The Interpreter Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 And without the paying customers, there wouldn't be coasters... 19 Quote
MadMaverick Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 There is also alot of ash trees that are dead that would need to be removed if their close to any rides walkways or buildings. 4 Quote
benny1388 Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 There is also alot of ash trees that are dead that would need to be removed if their close to any rides walkways or buildings. The ash borer parasite probably killed those off. They should be removed for safety. Not just from falling and causing damage/injury, but dead trees are good fuel for fire. I try to remove anything that's good for a fire on my property, and I don't have millions of dollars worth of rides and structures on it. 4 Quote
Coaster Addict Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 I believe this is a nod to KIC on the direction/placement of the new coaster debate. 2 Quote

Hoeter Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 So I heard that there is clearing back by The Beast, meaning this coaster would be even more massive than we thought. Can anyone confirm this? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I will confirm this as I just rode The Beast this evening. Right after the first turn coming out of the drop on the right hand side, you can see the clearing about 3/4 the way up the second lift hill if you look to your right. 7 Quote
bm0324 Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 In RMC news.... Lightning Rod caught on fire. Also saw this gem of a comment on Instagram. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk 8 Quote

CP Maverick Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Seems like decoding has simmered down. Sent from my N9130 using Tapatalk I am just waiting for more information on placement. If they go over WWC, I can put the turn around in a comfortable position next to DB. I still expect Rivertown to expand with this project. 2 Quote
CocaColaParking Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 How about a new bridge?[/quote Makes me wonder if WWC riders will have to wait at the train crossing next year? They already have to wait now 3 Quote
GatekeepersOnlyFan Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Just wanted to say something funny the train conductor said during my ride today. Near the end of the ride, the conductor said that the space to the left is the location of the new Son of Beast roller coaster 6 Quote
CP Maverick Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 If they put the station on that side of the tracks, and cross over WWC, the bridge span lines up pretty closely to a section of the rapids. I can show this graphically on Wednesday morning. I have my speculation files at work. 2 Quote
Sebastien6221 Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Ok. If it is the new Son of Beast. At least ill be able to finally ride it. Lets hope the company thats supposed to build it does and the park leaves their hands off of it. Sent from my N9130 using Tapatalk 6 Quote
Coaster Addict Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 This project is nowhere near big enough to be the new SOB. 4 Quote
Sebastien6221 Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 I dont remember Banshees teasing being this huge. Sent from my N9130 using Tapatalk 3 Quote
Coaster Addict Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Huh? Don teased the heck out of Banshee. 8 Quote
Zayzayd13 Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Agreed! The signage at the beginning of the 2013 season, the scarecrow men, the 7 owls, the ghostly wails behind the fence, "Field of Dreams". Banshee was heavily teased until the announcement. Sent from my SM-G925T using Tapatalk 11 Quote
Coaster Addict Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 ^ Don't forget the silver combs they sent to all the local media stations. 6 Quote
Sebastien6221 Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Forgot about most of it but the scarecrow and fence. But still, think this one is being teased more. Earlier than the 2013 tease. Then again I dont remember when the tease started for Banshee. Sent from my N9130 using Tapatalk 3 Quote
Oldschool75 Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 I'm honestly shocked management is allowing these workers to even mention Son of Beast and new coaster in the same sentence. Now you will have the GP all screwed up. But a 200ft tall woodie is not out of the question. As long as short cuts are not taken during construction like the last one. Also with a steel structure it wouldn't be hard. But my guess is a lift hill between 125-135ft and a ride length between 3000-3200ft. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 6 Quote
Magenta Lizard Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 The train spielers are allowed to come up with their own material. I know which spieler people are talking about because I heard him say it too. He's joking. I hope he doesn't get in trouble for it, because he's a nice kid. KI does need to start putting a bit more input into the spieling tho. 10 Quote

Sent from my N9130 using Tapatalk What has KI done that's been teasing for this ride, again a few signs, maybe a few posts on Snapchat or Twitter? We are the one making mountains from mole hills. kissfan4 Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Them mentioning a new "Son of Beast" could just be the PR department screwing with those on this forum. Just to see how long it takes for something that is mentioned in the park, to make it to these boards, and how, once here, explodes!!! 3 Quote

Sebastien6221 Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 That reminds me.....the defunct ride names are there, and the Son of Beast memorial, so doubt it would be another one, are any of the stones missing? Sent from my N9130 using Tapatalk 2 Quote

Pagoda Gift Shop Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 Son of Beast has a rather ignomious reputation with the general public. I don't think the park would want the baggage that would come with reusing the name. In fact, even though Beast related names are amusing, I would be very surprised if the park chose to name another coaster in similar fashion. Besides, when you have a great name like Cowboy Coaster, why use something else? 9 Quote
