Haru-Kun
What are your thoughts about the current lineup of live entertainment offerings for the current (and past) seasons? What are you looking forward to seeing? What could you do without? What would you like to see more of in the park going forward?
Thrill_Biscuit
Looking forward to "Origins." I also can't wait to see the audience reactions to the dog show at ISP. I haven't seen the Festhaus show yet, but I hope to catch it next time I'm at KI, sometime in May.
Imperial79
I saw they have a dog show being planned from one of the opening day video's on Kevin Welch's Youtube channel he posted.
Magenta Lizard
I'm most looking forward to Origins and Jump! I also hope to see more/returning roaming entertainment like the KI Five and the KI Paint Dept. drummers. I don't know if they count, exactly, but I've been missing the animals of Snoopy's Barnyard as well.
MDMC01
Hollywood Nights was pretty good, with one unexpected song that blew me away! And like others, I am anticipating Origins. When walking around the park for Opening Day, I noticed the shows seem to be starting earlier this year, especially with Origins starting in mid-May; If I recall correctly, Cirque Imagine didn't start each run until June- Am I correct on this? Also, I'm pretty excited for the "return" of Off the Charts.
Magenta Lizard
Cirque Imagine preview was May 22 last year.
flightoffear1996
I am not a fan of shows in the festhaus. Nothing like trying to hold a coverstation while eating when a show comes on.
BeautyandtheBeast
I am not a fan of shows in the festhaus. Nothing like trying to hold a coverstation while eating when a show comes on. I don't mind shows being in Festhaus but you are certainly right that the volume is way too loud. It's almost painful depending on where you sit. The volume might be okay in an open air area, but enclosed it just becomes worse than what it normally would be.
Haru-Kun
I'm always mildly surprised and pleased when I catch a show in the 'Haus (being one that never bothers to check show schedules). But no matter where you sit, after a few minutes the noise level really does rag on you. Id definitely like to check out Origins this year as well. ki95
What do you think the line-up will consist of this season? So far we know: Cirque is returning in the KI Theater 'Back to the 90s' in the Festhaus

Sent from my Pip-Boy 3000 via Tapatalk I've watched shows with my ears plugged the whole time with my fingers. I look really rude... but I'm literally just trying to enjoy the show without wincing from the prolonged loudness.. though.. if it werent loud.. i probably wouldnt be able to hear the show over people talking `~~~~` Might be a safe bet to expect Hollywood Nights to return as well

ki95
Is this our full line-up for this year? I wonder if there will be a second show in the Festhaus or anything in the Showplace Theatre? https://www.visitkingsisland.com/things-to-do/live-entertainment
Kenban
Pretty sure lunch with the Peanuts Gang is in Festhaus. The schedule lines up perfectly with back to the 90's.
silver2005
I like that Off the Charts is back on the I-Street bandstand. Its a more spontaneous location for that kind of gig, especially for audience participation and interaction. You can also hear it around the park better.
calakapepe
Will the peanuts gang be eating panda express with the kiddies?
stashua123
I'm probably the only one that's sad that Hollywood Nights is gone... I kinda liked the show!
Magenta Lizard
You're not the only one. I enjoyed that much more than any of the other musical revues. I'm surprised it didn't last longer.
MDMC01
Hollywood Nights was a cool show, with that awesome rap part of Wild, Wild West. However, The Boyz are Back was one of my favorite past "musical" shows they've done, along with Way Too Much TV.
calakapepe
I have a strong feeling rap is on its way back to ki in some capacity.. probably not that particular one
ki95
I will definitely miss Hollywood Nights I wonder what the Showplace Theatre will be used for?!
Creed Bratton
Looking back at the website for Live Entertainment.....I note that there are 3 non- Peanuts themed shows (with one starting Opening Day and the other 2 starting late May), 2 Peanuts shows (One starting late May, with weekends only through June 11th and then the other starting June 10th) and then Fireworks. I have never really been a park show fan, but after seeing the line ups from other Cedar Fair parks as well as seeing shows at Dollywood after our park closed for the 2016 season, I'm kind of let down just a little because I want to see some shows this year. I'm hoping that the lineup is not complete and there will be more shows added. /SadPandaRant
