Construction, even with proper scheduling, is still a dynamic process. If step 3 can be started before step 2 in completed, without detriment to the project timeline, then there is little reason to just keep waiting when progress can be made otherwise.

I've learned not to question how and why engineers do certain things after working with many with that type of mindset in my college band days.  They usually have a reason for everything they do.  They're quite meticulous and pedantic.

There were a couple guys there around 630 this morning.  Working by the headlights of the skidsteer.  They were covering up some concrete and doing a bit of grading.  In the Dark!

They do have enough footings done that they could cover with the landscape fabric and gravel once they get done covering then with dirt. There is enough done for a truck load of gravel, I think

I am wondering if maybe a couple of the recently poured footers were off just a tad. I only say this because of the way several workers seem concerned about that one area and havent top covered it with dirt yet.

That's some funny stuff right there. This must be your first construction project.

No, they aren't concerned about anything being "off a little bit". They have rather precise measurements to work with.

And the tree stumps were removed with the trees.

Hardly, im an architectural designer, i have a wee bit of experience of construction projects....most of the silly questions i ask are from my daughter, like the stumps. LOL

Its a small world.  I am an architect at a Cincinnati area architectural firm.

It will be exciting to see them put more bents in place.  However, once the lift and first drop are in place, the webcam will not offer much of a view of construction as the ride progresses across the WWC reservoir or back towards the train shed.

I am a structural designer with a company in Cincinnati as well. It really is a small world. I have a dream of one day opening my own firm for steel coster design, but I have to go back to school for that lol

Well hopefully they will add a second webcam and show that back area. They did so when Banshee was constructed. Of course they will have to have some sort of structure to put the webcam in and hook it up....but from what i have seen there are a few structures back in that area. One can always wish.  B)

I was thinking they could hook one up to the train house. Not sure it'd be the best view, but there's certainly power in there.

Regardless, the cam atop the Eiffel Tower offers a nice angle, albeit distant, that shows a bit further back into the woods.

After going to take another look at the tower cam it actually shows the majority of the clearing all the way back to the unused station. You can even make out the wood that's being stored there.

Like what he just said ^.  Or they are on lunch, its after 12.  Can you stop spamming the thread though?

Oh, it's not him, it's his "daughter"...

I put my unofficial suggestion for a webcam to be placed at the top of DBack's lift hill.

So, I recant my statement about that bent being for the lift, that is clearly for the first drop. Lol (from my earlier post about the bent being built.)

Finally figured out how to block someone. Now i can really enjoy this post without viewing anything from "Mr. Know-it-all".  Dont worry i wont "spam" anymore.

I highlighted a couple of your previous posts in what some consider spam. There were some decent discussion topics you brought up, which I appreciate. However, the random comments that do not make much sense should probably stop. I get it, you are excited. Many of us on this board are. We just enjoy having meaningful, thought-provoking discussions. The ' LOL WAT DID U SEE DAT CONSTRUCTION WERKER MOVE?' is not really needed in this forum.

Best regards,

HTCO
