SonODiamondback Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Just saying there are a lot of silly guesses making this thread read like a little kid's Christmas list.If you don't like it then don't read it. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk 8 Quote
Magenta Lizard Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Oh so sorry we haven't been able to solve the whole thing to your satisfaction in four days. *rolls eyes* Teasers will help, but we always are going to begin with wild speculation until the park gives us a little guidance. 14 Quote
benny1388 Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 I am thinking both MT and the yet-to-be-announced attraction are both part of #KIProject2017 and we've already gotten teasers for it. 5 Quote
Supernova Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 ^Barrel-themed spinning teacups? That's the closest i can think of to a ride involving "rolling barrels", since that was the only clue that didn't line up with Mystic Timbers, if what you're saying is right. 4 Quote
The Forsaken Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Another "capital expenditure" on the way...hmmm...has anybody looked around the park yet other than Rivertown? Even something as small -relatively- as MT started to drop construction clues months ago. A "capital expenditure" is the acquiring or maintaining of fixed assets...which could be justified as anything within the park. Maybe Rivertown will get a complete off season rehab complete with a GCI/Beast retracking. 1 Quote

That's the closest i can think of to a ride involving "rolling barrels", since that was the only clue that didn't line up with Mystic Timbers, if what you're saying is right. I was mainly thinking about "roll out the barrels" one, but how does the "Yo Adrian" fit MT? Many thought that mean either Philadelphia Toboggan Coaster or RMC, neither are correct. Other than the image being taken in the woods, I don't see a connection (perhaps I'm reading too much into the text, I'll admit). I'm honestly not recalling the others, except for the two with the trains... 2 Quote
presto123 Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 I'm not seeing how "field of dreams" tied into Mystic Timbers other than if you build it they will come. That feels more like a slogan for a record breaking coaster IMO. 2 Quote
TombRaiderFTW Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 "Field of dreams" was also used on KI's social media to tease Banshee's location. I think it's just one of the things that Don/the PR department uses to get people's attention. 5 Quote
KI Fan75 Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Is it at all possible that the "Yo Adrian" comment could be teasing something having to do with the "Rocky" entrance of "The Crypt" building? 4 Quote
InvertiJack Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Is it at all possible that the "Yo Adrian" comment could be teasing the "Rocky" entrance of "The Crypt"?Seems a bit far fetched, but it could be possible.Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk 1 Quote
KI Guy Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 It should be about time we started seeing some of those European flats that Cedar Fair was looking around for. It would be a nice touch for the anniversary. 5 Quote
FoolCrzy Posted August 1, 2016 Posted August 1, 2016 Roll out the Barrels... It's a Donkey Kong themed attraction in the big tan box. An animatronic Ape hurls barrels down a ramp and you have to avoid them. 4 Quote
GavPenn Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Anyone else pick up on the fact that Kings Island currently has 14 coasters making MT the 15th coaster. Don stated that MT would be our 16th coaster. Unless they are counting both racers, we could see another coaster Announcement for 2017. If MT only costs 4-10 million we could see another coaster with their 15 million cap. I'm not exactly sure what their cap is but figuring this with recent years. I also find it odd that they didn't release the cost of MT and think it might be kept a secret until the second attraction is announced. 1 Quote
Logan Goddard Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Surf dog is counted as a coaster. Cedar Point also counts Pipescream, so it helps boost the parks numbers. 3 Quote

jdf21972 Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Everyone sees to have forgotten Don first cryptic message about Race for your Life Charlie Brown. Looks like they will be getting an updated log flume ride with animatronic Peanut characters along the route. That would be cool. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 4 Quote
upstop Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Maybe RFYLCB will become a part of RiverTown again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 4 Quote

GavPenn Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 This is where I got my numbers. They classify surfdog as a "rocking tug" ride. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Kings_Island_attractions 2 Quote
DontWantToWait42mar0 Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Also they said MT made 5 wooden coasters.... Beast Woodstock Express Racer..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Maybe they counted Adventure Express? Or they're still counting Son of Beast? 2 Quote
Martinin3333 Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 What is ice cream with a "Sprill" ? Google doesn't turn up much that makes sense. If I find anything I will post it, but it's most likely an archaic word that was used for "twist" or maybe it was the name of a defunct company that made cups or cones. Could be a slang word that never caught on too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk It is a fancy name for sprinkles 1 Quote
Kenban Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Kings Island does not count Surf Dog as a coaster. Instead they count The Racer as two seperate coasters. 5 Quote
Logan Goddard Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Don has said that Racer is one coaster in this tweet. https://twitter.com/DonHelbig/status/759190940422668288 4 Quote

freaks76 Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 I'd think they would say AE is the forth. I may be wrong, but they don't count hybrids in that way, I'm guessing. Probably go by the support structure??? 1 Quote
Beast Gal Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Tubular rails on wood does not make a wooden coaster. Quote
pkiknex25 Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Also they said MT made 5 wooden coasters.... Beast Woodstock Express Racer..... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Adam House (the GCI designer) said that MT was the 5th wooden, not Don or Greg. So I think we should mark that statement as an unofficial count and leave it at that. Officially, KI counts Racer as one and does count SurfDog as one. 4 Quote
King Ding Dong Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Tubular rails on wood does not make a wooden coaster.Agreed but to most of the GP it does. 1st time I was at CP I thought Gemini was until I got closer to it, a mine train is more obvious. 1 Quote
teenageninja Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 There is a 0% chance they are adding two coasters in one year. 3 Quote
