Wasn't a completely sold on the inital idea, but I honestly think it turned out really well. Countless families I know love the spinning barrels (they see it like the tea cup ride for disney), and I think the area as a whole feels more alive. It's nothing mindblowing, but I love the small details from the boat to the Adventure Express temple head. I wish we still ended up with the fountain in the proposed artwork, but the bamboo, the music, the stained concrete, I think for as small of an area it was a job well done.

My only complaint is I do wish for a bit more shade. Slingshot was big enough with the fence as well you didn't see right into Banshee. They planted some smaller trees that will grow in behind the flat rides, which I think will help the area mature over time. It feels a bit bare and it ruins the feel of the area having the huge invert lurking in the background, but I think they did well with what they had.

Adventure Port as a whole is meh to me. You can tell it was not a typical planned addition. The theming is probably the best part. The loss of a good chunk of the themed Oktoberfest area is sad (though Slingshot didn't really add to the themed land). If I were to give it a grade, I'd give it a 74%. Here's my breakdown:

Area: 5/10:

In a way is too pushed together, it would have made more sense to me if they would have placed it down behind the Eiffel Tower in the empty lot near Diamondbacks turn around to the station, retrofitted the Island Coolers (or whatever it's called) to a quick serve burritos place to keep the Enrique's name. Location is not bad...but not great either.

Rides: 22/30:

Adventure Express everything that has happened with it being "rethemed" ish....works. I love it. I love the tie in to former/current rides. I love that there is still a stain in a spot within the Fast Lane queue of uhm....human defecation that arrived during Acestock......yeah you read that right. 10/10

Sol Spin....still wish they would have went with the larger capacity model...even with Fast Lane, I feel like this is such a slow loader due to the lack of capacity. Fun ride, seats aren't comfortable, while waiting for loading to be completed/seats to be checked and ride dispatch. I'm torn between loving the ride experience with Sol Spin or the Huss versions ala Witches Wheel.  6/10

Cargo Loco.....they tried. Lack of shade structure on the barrels stinks. The barrels ability to spin or lack there of while the platform rotates kills the enjoyment of the ride for me. I love teacup rides, I love to spin until I am so dizzy I can't see straight. Cargo Loco leaves a lot to be desired in that aspect. 6/10

Restaurant: 6/10

Enriques to me is okay. I'm not a huge fan of Chipotle....Enrique's is a step up in flavor for me. I wish they had more options for toppings. I do not eat beans and most salsas. So basically I get a chicken burrito with brown rice and cheese. Would love to see more options.....bonus point for being converted into the Mac n Cheese bar for Winterfest....if it was year round, it'd be a 10/10.

Bar: 9/10

Mercado is not bad. I've only swung by this bar and partook a couple of times. The service at this location no matter the theme has been stellar. Drinks are made well and I get a good value out of the cost. 10/10

Theming: 10/10

The theming of the area top notch. I love the little details, The conversion of the ride plaza looks phenomenal at the entrance/exit of Adventure Express. The posters, theming on Adventure Express and the ride signs excel.

My only issue with it is that it's too small. They should have extended up to the funnel cake shoppe, rethemed the tie dye stand and put another flat ride on between the tie dye stand and Enriques. They also should have made the menu slightly different at Enrique's instead of just renaming the place from Hank's. ( But I do love that they continue the legacy of Henry in the name to the current time, Enrique was a perfect name!)

Totally agree about the lack of shade. I've been cooked alive in those barrels some days, especially with the middle rings heating up in the sun, it's hot to the touch. However I've had no issues with the spinning aspect. My family and I have spun till I've lost my balance trying to get out of the barrel. The barrels do feel heavier compared to a traditonal teacup ride, but once you get them going, they're a blast

I think this was a great addition. Considering the short turn around time for the park, it came together well. Now that we seem to have constant 90 ° weather summers in the region, a lot more shade was and is needed.

I do wish we were able to get the higher capacity Sol Spin. I do think the two editions were a great pick. I realize a lot of enthusiasts prefer the Huss versions. Keep in mind, in 30 to 40 years, new enthusiasts will say they prefer the Zamperla versions to whatever newer manufacturer would be making them at the time.

First of all, I'm all impressed with the new Adventure Port since last year.... Second of all:  this past June 24th, when I rode the new Adventure Express to get my 500th ride in and guess what?  I got my 500 rides in....  Now that I have 1,649 lifetime rides with Adventure Express with ONLY 351 rides away to 2,000th ride which will also take place later this Spring/Summer 2025 and will also coincide with Cargo Loco when I get my 500 rides in at the same time in 2025.....

Noughing against Oktoberfest (except it's almost nonexistent) but at this point I think they should expand AP and make Oktoberfest part of it.  As for the rides maybe not the best but I am glad they added more flat rides to the lineup.

IIRC, Oktoberfest was a last minute addition to the park’s lineup of lands, which if that’s true is ironic.
