  1. Past hour
  2. It's supposed to be any ride, apparently. For example, at Canada's Wonderland, they say single use is "not available" for AlpenFury since they don't sell them, but I was able to use the one on my pass for AlpenFury. Explaining how benefits work has never really been Cedar Fair's strong suit.
  3. Today
  4. Maybe it would open capacity to actually clean the ones by Orion, which smell worse than the illegitimate bathroom baby of a nursing home and a truck stop?
  5. I have been of the mind that Boo Blasters was on borrowed time for a long while now, as is evident by what feels like a 50/50 chance you'll get a busted shooter. I honestly kind of laugh at the sudden "No!!! Not Boo Blasters!!" kinds of comments after it more or less being a laughing stock about its poor functionality for quite some time, and the abuse it took after being "watered down" after going from Scooby to Boo. It is probably past time to do something different. I was disappointed to hear such a limited re-do was in the works. Same track/layout, same basic ride (go around and shoot at, or now seemingly "collect" things in the same way you'd shoot at them), whatever. I guess I was hoping for more of a fresh ride experience entirely instead of the fourth re-skin of the same ride. I think some hope was elevated a bit by the "thrill" in "family thrill ride" that was announced earlier. To me, this is just a very casual family dark ride experience, and there's really no "thrill" here if we're being completely honest. While bright, albeit extremely cartoon-like, the new faces have a similar vibe in terms of quality to the Shaggy-now-balding-guy that's running in circles mid ride. The skeptic in me assumes it will more or less have that kind of feel still. A bit disappointing, especially since it has been years since a new release has had any real appeal to me or my family (including our elementary and junior high aged kids). That said, at least something is happening at the park, and it's likely low enough budget that it hopefully won't cause even more delays in us finally getting something for the thrill seekers in the crowd again. And, maybe it'll be a pleasant surprise. We'll see.
  6. I don't know how I'd feel of an S&S scream n swing as our "front gate" attraction.
  7. An S&S SS what not be a bad addition for where sky flyer was, especially considering that they both deliver a similar ride experience
  8. I would like to see an S&S Screamin' Swing in the Invertigo space if it is, in fact, removed.
  9. Curious...Cedar Point's app lists only certain rides being Single-Use Fast Lane compatible due to Fast Lane Plus.
  10. It was a pretty common theme this year that I (and other people I know with prestige passes) would go and try to use their skip the line and, even though the scanner turned green, the ride op "never heard of it being on the pass" so you'd get turned away, and of course, by that point you'd already used it according to the system so you couldn't try again somewhere else, and having to hike up to GR to complain kind of defeats the purpose of the benefit. I think it's a side effect of the small number of people who buy the prestige pass and the fact that basically everyone else has a wristband they're scanning and so they think you're trying to pull one over on them when you scan your pass instead. I was usually able to get around it by scanning my pass on the kiosk and printing out the receipt, but those rarely actually work anymore.
  11. Can you explain more? Are you sure it's not an issue with the scanner? When I worked at KI, if the scanner turned red we had to send the guest back up to where they purchased it. If it became a scanner issue, we had to call and report it to upper management.
  12. Maybe the ride associates will finally be trained about the single-use so paying guests don't keep getting turned away after scanning their pass.
  13. Recently renewed and decided to upgrade to Prestige as well. The single use Fast Lane is especially useful for vistors who pop in for a few hours at a time. When I visited Cedar Point this past weekend, I drove in Friday, used my single use Fastlane to ride Siren's Curse before park close, then returned the following morning with another Fast Lane to use. The closer parking and VIP lounge aren't huge benefits to me, but the extra 3 free tickets (one more this year compared to gold and two next year), and the single use Fast Lane was enough to warrant the extra $100 bucks for me. And the extra 5% discount won't hurt either... I'll be curious as others have mentioned if the VIP lounge and preferred parking can handle the new prestige members. I feel like for an extra hundred bucks, quite a few will be taking advantage of this deal.
  14. I say just eat Skyline outside the park. It's much better that way even if you can technically get it for free at KI with a dining plan. Like I always order my "ways" extra juicy and they most of the time deliver on that. At KI that isn't really an option.
  15. I don't think CF ever made much progress on the PP debt, they just kept refinancing. Six Flags got way in over their heads with acquisitions and overspent on debacles like Worlds of Adventure. They were able to shed much of that debt with their bankruptcy. Six Flags business model is being emulated currently, and I personally think history will repeat. If they file for bankruptcy, creditors will get shafted. Some parks that are jettisoned may end up better off if there is a company that could take over ( HFC is probably out of the scene since they recently took on a huge acquisition). Whatever would be left of Six Flags may have an opportunity to be elevated without as much of a debt burden, if they emulate the CF model. If they follow the SF model, they will continue the downward spiral.
  16. The coneys on @kingsislandfan1972s pic look like the prize they used to advertise on the cereal box, and yours look like the prize that we actually got! Also, in answer to the above question regarding Enrique's, I either eat there and get the steak bowl, or the Bacon Mac and Chee at Tom and Chee's and both are very good. As mentioned above, Enrique's is just Pantherion to Hank's I305.
  17. All that cheese and you can tell you had chili on it. Meanwhile where's the chili LOL
  18. I only used the "thanks" emoji because there isnt a heart one.... YAAAAAAAAASSS looking totally past that 3 way and give me all the cheese on my coneys!!!
  19. I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed, but if I remember right, Cedar Fair was financially strapped after acquiring paramount parks. Maybe it will all shake out? Not that unusual when you think about it-any acquisition will look at their assets and dump the ones not profitable. In great americas case, that area is wall to wall people and just going to the store was a major deal. I think someone wants that land and taking any offer would be a profit. Plus the dumpster fire California is right now-it’s not profitable to run any business there
  20. From a few years back but how much cheese is too much cheese?
  21. Agreed! I would love to sit down in an Skyline on International Street again, I mean sure there is still the outside one in Coney Mall... but yeah its not the same.
  22. If they do reintroduce it at Kings Island, I hope they have more safeguards in place than they did in 1983.
  23. As promised, here is my take on what I think Six Flags should have done for their MVP Sale. It is based off of the current Kings Island pass comparison page, and should have everything on it. Read through everything and let me know what you think! If this isn't your thing, then feel free to scroll on by. Please ignore the double X on the third benefit, it doesn't mean anything special and I'm not going to take another screenshot right now. "Renewal Benefits" should actually say "MVP Sale Benefits", ditto about the screenshot. Some things to note: The lowest tier now includes admission past Labor Day, but comes with the addition of Blackout Dates. These would include Passholder Previews, a few days each month during the Summer season, and Thursdays/Fridays after Labor Day (to manage crowds during Haunt and Winterfest). It's no longer 40+ Six Flags parks for the price of 1, but instead 3 during this sale only. The passholder can choose which parks or Six Flags could make groupings. This makes it so it's not giving away the gate as much. A "park" in this sense includes both the dry park and waterpark(s), meaning KI/SC, CP/CPS, and SFGA/HHC/HHR could potentially all be included on one pass. Prestige BAF tickets are limited to the following year. Renewal gets you the FUN Jumper pass (already in use at some parks in 2025), a free BAF ticket, 2 Single-Use Fast Lane passes, and a free HAP to show guests why they should have to pay for mazes. Renewal benefits are listed as being part of the sale and are not available to those buying a new pass, partially restricting the Home Park loophole. Preferred Parking is wholly replaced with limited availability Prestige Pass Parking. AVAILABLE ADD-ONS: Dining Plan / Dining Plan Plus Regular: 2 meals per visit // Plus: 2 meals per visit w/ 1 snack FUN Jumper and All-Park versions also available Drink Plan / Drink Plan Plus Regular: Coca-Cola fountain drinks and water // Plus: Coca-Cola fountain drinks, water, ICEEs, Coffee, and Hot Chocolate All-Season Fast Lane 10 uses per visit OR remains unlimited All-Season FunPix stays the same Haunted Attractions Pass Allows access to mazes during Halloween Haunt/Fright Fest FUN Jumper and All-Park versions also available SALE PRICE / HIGHEST PRICE: Here are the sale prices w/ the FUN Jumper and the highest price w/out the FUN Jumper. Reasonings include the FUN Jumper benefits, but not All-Park Passport benefits. Thrill Pass: $99 / $120 A reasonable price for a bare-bones season pass. The sale gets you basic benefits at 3 parks. Nobody who currently has a pass is really "priced out" of buying a new one in this model. Pays for itself in 2 visits. Gold Pass: $150 / $200 Cheaper than a Dollywood pass, but high enough to make people pause and think before purchasing. Mid-tier benefits at 3 parks. Available for those who want to go to the park year-round, but don't need the Prestige benefits. Pays for itself in 4-ish visits. Prestige Pass: $250 / $400 A price that reflects the added benefits without being outrageously expensive. Premium benefits at 3 parks. The high price pays for upgraded experiences. Removes the pay-to-play nickel-and-diming from part of the experience. That's my take on things as of right now. I might make a new topic for if I think anything else up. Thank you for reading!
  24. I think animatronic in the sense that their bodies will move- I don’t think there’s many animatronics that have moving faces these days- even most Disney figures have internal projections.
  25. The Single-Use Fast Lane Pass included with each visit was the deciding factor in my choice to upgrade to the Prestige Pass for 2026. I really appreciated the value it offered—saving time with the Fast Lane Pass means I can fit in an extra ride or two during visits to parks like Kings Island and Cedar Point. And, of course, the unlimited tap water in the VIP lounge didn’t hurt either.
  26. Can we just get the Skyline back on International street?
  27. I've heard that one reason why B&M is able to do so well in the US is because of their manufacturing plant and offices here. It makes me wonder if the other manufacturers have similar issues to Intamin, or if this is really only an issue for them.
