You clearly do. Otherwise you wouldn't have posted the story in the first place?

I'm not sure either honestly I was trying to figure that out as well, the hands look the same as Shaggy though.
-
I don't have a screenshot for y'all, but Carowinds posted to Facebook saying that "Tomorrow will be an eventful day". If Carowinds releases their events calendar tomorrow, maybe Kings Island will too? We haven't seen much of what KI's new social media person likes to post, so I can't tell you if they're better or worse than the others we've had recently.
-
Would those be the same cutouts as the ones from SDatHC or are they newer? I don't think they're the same ones. The shape of Shaggy doesn't match either ghost IMO. The one on the left could be a modified Scooby-Doo though. I'm also curious if the figures are painted on or if it's a printed cling.
-
I'm also curious why they didn't action off the original PT props and instead threw most of them away(from what I've heard).... I bet people would have definitely wanted to add them to their KI memorabilia.

I wonder if there was some way to remove the Boo Blaster paint and restore this back to Scooby-Doo & Shaggy? 🤔 I'm not sure if it's possible or not just very curious...

I think selling to Herschend or splitting off into its own park chain (with a few other parks) would be the only good options if KI had to be sold. Both would come with major changes to general operations and (in the case of Herschend) no more meal plans. That being said, Six Flags probably won't let it go easily. Mid-America may have been chosen to be the flagship because Enchanted Parks might feel it is the most malleable in terms of making it their own. Worlds of Fun has an established theme throughout the park that works with its name while Mid-America will need to see some extensive reworking under its new management. They have an opportunity to make the theming more cohesive in each area while they work to replace all of the Six Flags branding and IPs that Enchanted Parks can't use. I believe that's also why the CEO is speaking so much on the investment slated for the park.

Kings Island General Discussion 2026

Concerts at Timberwolf would bring in some additional revenue, but I think the venue as it currently exists is not very appealing to modern audiences. It lacks shade, the seats are old and uncomfortable, and the guest entrance experience simply looks and feels bad with concert goers walking through park service areas. I don't think it can easily compete with all of the venues in Cincinnati, even when you factor in all of the fearmongers who swear off going downtown. Carowinds Paladium at least has a roof over the front sections of seats and a direct connection to their front gate alongside more permanent dedicated concessions and restroom facilities. It could work if Kings Island/Six Flags wanted to pour some money into vastly improving the venue, but I don't think we'll see anything long term without that. If they want to test out a new concert program they might want to start by having more events in the KI Theater. The entrance could go through the former Season Pass entrance tunnel and utilize the Front Gate restrooms (before the turnstiles) and/or the Invertigo restrooms. As for KidzBop and Live Nation, the big concert venue at Darien Lake is a LN venue so they might have a way to start that relationship if they haven't already. -

They’d also need to start doing upgrades. Any major artist would probably laugh at the condition of the facility and decline. -

When it comes to potential artists/music groups for concerts, I'm honestly surprised the park hasn't attempted to bring in Kidz Bop to do a concert at Timberwolf. Ik they have a contract with Live Nation, but they've played one off shows at non Live Nation venues. Also I did some research and apparently in the early 2010s KidzBop and Six Flags partnered and did auditions and concerts at their parks. Also the fact the park plays mostly Kidzbop in Planet Snoopy. I know Kidzbop wouldn't be my type of artist to go see, but I think with KI being more "family friendly" a Kidzbop concert would I think do very well at KI. The park could even use them to help promote the kids area and/or Phantom Theater. Just imagine the marketing possibilities with "The Kidzbop Kids ride the new Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare" or "The Kidzbop Kids enjoy Kings Island's Camp Snoopy"! -
Debt reduction! 🤣

So, it's not for charity or anything?
-
This is going to be dangerous for my bank account, but really excited and glad the park is going through the effort of letting fans bid for these items.
-
This is insanely cool. I am surprised they aren't using these for any park displays but I'm glad fans have an opportunity to get this stuff. Also I need all of this stuff, nobody else should bid except me so I can open my Boo Blasters museum.

Kings Island General Discussion 2026

Do they need to bring in more people? No. Do the people they bring in need to spend more money? Yes. That means getting more people during the core season that aren’t passholders in the park. Concerts would be an opportunity to do that. But they’d need to be planning and booking now for 2027 to make concerts be a success. -

Orion-XL200 replied to Losantiville Mining Co.'s topic in Kings Island
We've talked about concerts numerous times and it's really not something that KI needs at this point. Why do we think the park needs concerts? Is it because we want to see Timberwolf being used? Is it because it would be cool? Is it because the park needs to bring more people in? I don't think any of those are a yes. Timberwolf is an outdated concert venue. It's not weather resistant. Would it be cool? Maybe? But it'd have to be the right acts and the right acts aren't going to come play KI when there are far better venues down the road. Does the park really need to bring more people in? No...everyone already complains when it's "too busy," without concerts. I'd rather see the park focus more on upping the Live-E shows already in park than bring in a concert. -

If I were to ever be in a meeting with John, that would 100% be a question of mine. I feel like Zimmerman wasn't really a concert person, but okay'd it when KI and Carowinds pushed for it, but immediately pulled the plug when they didn't bring in the ROI they wanted. I'm guessing that's why the Christian Festivals at the parks didn't make a return post Covid as Zimmerman was probably looking for a way out of those and Covid was their excuse to get rid of them. I'm curious with John Reilly's experience with SeaWorld/United Parks if he would be open to doing concerts and keeping it a yearly thing instead of try it and pull the plug after one year. SeaWorld and Busch Gardens do concerts at basically all their parks and they're all successful. -
I was thinking at the beginning of all of this that if Kings Island were sold it would be a blessing, but I have done a complete 180. Six Flags is doing its best to right the ship and it seems like it may work out. If Kings Island were sold off to a smaller chain I would be worried about smaller and less frequent investments due to the fact of having less money to spend. If the park were sold off I would like to see it go to a larger chain like United or Herschend my main fear is private equity. Private equity has a tendency to have profit margins being the leading decision maker which scares me because it ends up creating a watered down experience where guests won’t spend as much.

I know its probably been discussed before, but I truly believe they should have concerts at Timberwolf again. Bring in acts (local and/or national) that draw crowds and give that space some use! -
Yeah, I don't think "I got so wasted at the regional amusement park's haunted house that they kicked me out" is the flex he thinks it is.
