    • You sure they aren't selling Six Axe's in the gift shop
    • Thanks for the correction. I also forgot a couple of others:
    • You forgot about No Ice Water Lake!  And then when the ride is over and you exit through the gift shop (assuming it's open of course) you'll have a chance to buy your very own SIX stock!
    • I unfortunately was introduced right at the height/depth of SF:WoAs prime time as my very first trip there was September of 2003 as a newlywed with my Cleveland-born Wife and stepdaughter and over the next several years watched this very thing on a smaller scale happen in front of my eyes through the end of SF and short-term ride scavenging of CF. The special circumstances and memories of the park made that whole thing hurt inside, and now Im sitting here watching the entire 40-howevermany park chain go through a near-identical in my eyes fall on a much grander scale which I have to say really SUCKS for those of you who grew up here, some from the parks infancy.  As much as Id Love to see some regional groups breaking off and finding new life in a more manageable pack, the problems would be first and foremost finding other operators anywhere in the World right now with enough available capital to even think of coming to the table with a number to buy, and then if you can do that the other problem would be getting true equality through the packs as there will always be one powerhouse that will demand the larger share of any cap-ex.
    • This sped up "B" word process might be a little preferable over letting guests see the parks have a slow(er) and painful(er) decline. I'd prefer it didn't happen at all, but the inevitable is coming whether I want it or not. Four parks have cancelled seasonal events, one park is set to close this year, and another park is set to close after 2027.  What is the range for how long bankruptcy proceedings typically take? Could we see the government step in and help a little (doubtful considering this administration)? I'd hope most of the parks are able to be saved from the wrecking ball. If other current chains get their hands on parks like Kings Island, you can kiss that cheaper Gold Pass goodbye. I don't know which chain would be capable of taking on any of the parks, even with financing, but I'm sure there's at least one that would take at least a park or two. It'd be really nice to see a new set of regional park companies rise from the ashes of Six Flags that are more capable of handling their smaller set of parks.  If the park makes it through whatever is coming, I'll be very hopeful that this can be the case. Any company that holds guest experience near the same level as profit generation would be a good replacement after this mess. I still go to the park once a week and will probably continue to do so. Maybe these latest cuts will buy a little more time to allow for Haunt and Winterfest to be better events this year.    Something funny to see as well: you'll see all kinds of comments on social media longing for a return to when Paramount owned Kings Island, and yet, now Paramount is going through its own merger. It may not be the same situation, but it is still funny to see.
