Sorry, but Zoom Flume is an awful name. I'm not calling it that.5 points

The Beast's epic final helix. Especially at Night... (You didn't say it had to be an inversion) Also, I think this might belong in polls...not 100% sure though.5 points

Shortest flat ride cycle...Monster...60 seconds... "We waited all that for just that" Yup..4 points

I just woke up from my first Vortex dream of this offseason! This dream was really realistic. It was just a normal late afternoon/evening at Kings Island. I was waiting in a short line for Vortex, taking pictures like I normally do. The weird thing was that after the cycle, the train would stop on the LIFT HILL instead of the station! Finally I was next in line to ride, but just when I was stepping into the front seat of the train the dream ended. (Dang it!) Vortex Dreams I've Had This Offseason: 14 points

^i am not a huge fan of water parks. I don't think we went there at all 2013. In 2012 we went a few times. When my daughter was younger, I have a friend that loves water that would take her to the water park while I rode rides. I am going to GWL mostly to make my daughter extra happy. Plus it is cool to say I've been. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk4 points

i would feel very uncomfortable in those seats, forceful turns and bicycle seats, no thank you... I think the bats current trains are fine. The only thing i would like to see make a return is The Bat-like themed trains.4 points

Which element on a ride is your favorite? Any element from past, present, or future can be shared. My favorite element is either Firehawk's loop or Vortex's Boomerang/Batwing at the end of the ride.3 points

All right the moment you've been waiting for, here is the video enjoy...By the way I'm the little boy in the video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5v6BXbSjn1U&feature=youtu.be3 points

Those two turns into the "staircase" bit on Backlot Stunt Coaster. Also the "underground" portion. Beast's double helix. Firehawk's loop. The turn over the pre-lift portion of Adventure Express. The Bat's brake run, when seated in the front car. Flight of Fear's cobra roll, especially when seated in the last car. The more time that goes by, the more I kinda-sorta miss Son of Beast's pre-lift portion. It was nothing special, but it was always a little unnerving to new-to-roller-coasters me how that first drop/turn out of the station was WAY over banked. (Not that I think it was unintentional or something; you would just practically lay on your side going through that turn.) I don't know if I would feel similarly now that I've been on rides like Voyage or Ravine Flyer II; I just know I haven't experienced that kind of hang time on a wooden coaster since.3 points

I can't really narrow down a single element, so I'll give a list... Backlot- the series of s-curves after the helix Beast- the helix for sure, but an element I like better is those series of drops after the 2nd tunnel before rising up to the 2nd lift Firehawk- the overbanked turn, the loop, the double roll, and the helix Bat - that 2nd hill over the station Flight of Fear- the launch and the final corkscrew, especially how the 2nd half builds up to it Son of Beast- first drop, the loop and the top of the 2nd hill (with the original trains) Vortex- each of the inversion has something special to me- the loops have nice positive g's and are simple, the corkscrews have nice hang time, and the batwing is just awesomely placed, that 2nd hill also has a nice jolt of air in the front seat, the first drop is great in the back King Cobra- the loop and the helix which felt nearly horizontal with the banking3 points

The part on WindSeeker where it goes around the tower! All kidding aside, I love the Diamondback turn-around point "hammerhead" thing. I always lean in during that part.3 points
-
As mentioned by McSalsa, I must also say that my favorite ride element at Kings Island is The Beast's final helix through the tunnel. There has never been an element of a roller coaster that has thrilled me more than the final helix of The Beast, there's just something about it that I have always loved.3 points

My favorite is Snowy River Rampage because of how long it is as well as the numerous "rapids" that bump the raft along the way.3 points

I've had a dream where I lived in a state that has a collection of the best roller coasters on the planet .......Oh wait.3 points

Interesting dream about Opening Day next year. I was riding in the usual last row-last train slot on Adventure Express, when the KIC crew came into the line, I believe it was IndyGuy who called "BB1, wait for us!". So after I rode AE, which the layout was flipped, I came back into the station to see the whole group come onto the train, which of course Don Helbig was there getting a photo of the group about to depart from the station.3 points
-
Wow interesting...I actually didn't know Don's involvement pre Cedar Fair employment...and his numbers, always thought it was just a running joke. Best thing is look at his hair and attire from back then hehehe But sorry mate, didn't know all that about ya, getting to know you more each and every day3 points

And, while he was riding Beast on an earlier occasion (in 1999, at the Son of Beast announcement), a member here talked to Werner Stengel at length. You see, the ACErs and media were fascinated with either ERT on Beast, Montel Williams, or both. Well, either that or getting out of Dodge and filing their story about what was to be the fastest, tallest and only looping wooden roller coaster on the planet.)3 points

I think the rides are great as they are. Some just need updated. I would leave the current rides and re-do the Crypt. It is a decent size building and it can be worth so much more than a Haunt year round. It would be really cool to have a flat that was a bit more aimed at adults....maybe something a little scary or dark.3 points

It's been awhile, but I once had a dream where my boyfriend and I went to KI on opening day, and during the off season all the rides had been changed to things I wouldn't ride. WindSeeker was kinda like a coaster, with a Drop Tower-esque ending. Even the KI&MVRR was weird. It was similar to AE, but also had 4 loops. The whole thing was weird. Surely I'm not the only one that feels Thrill Zone is an absolutely awful name, and it wouldn't add to any theme around either spooky or have an old Adventure Village feel.2 points

If I'm seeing those Vekoma concept cars right, guests are kneeling in them. I wouldn't ride any coaster where you have to kneel down. Adding those to suspended coasters, especially the more forceful ones like Flight Deck and Ninja, would make chiropractors jump for joy with the added business.2 points

I've waited some time before posting this, for reasons I thought necessary. My dream came the night after the New Texas Giant accident. I was on Diamondback, as we came into the last helix, over the path next to the Crypts old building, people just started flying out of the seats. The strangest part was, that though people flew off the train, they would land on the Crypts queue and just kinda slide on their knees, and get up.2 points

It wasn't always like that. Only when the Cedar Fair people who know how to run a park took over from Paramount Parks... There was a time when Kings Island had great flats with long cycles. (Rotor, Bayern Curve, Halleys Comet, der Spinnin Keggers, Enchanted Voyage, Tumble Bug, Zodiac, Ferris Wheel, Sky Ride, and on and on).2 points

Really wish they would add a path like this again somewhere. I always missed it. Could be placed somewhere between Rivertown and BLSC or even on the path from Planet Snoopy to Soak City.2 points

What's odd about this is this. Cedar Point is notorious for short--very short--flat ride cycles, in order to maximize capacity. Now, maXair has a longer cycle...at Cedar Point. I'm not sure exactly why that ride can accommodate a longer cycle than Kings Island's now does, but it does. And, as for me, a ride worth riding is worth a full cycle (or more. Once rode the Coney Island of Brooklyn Breakdance at full tilt for 20 minutes and the bumper cars at Hillcrest for nearly an hour--both continuously). A short cycle on Delirium definitely affects the ride--and the ride experience. Less stress for the ride--less experience both quantitatively and qualitatively for the riders. I, for one, would like to wait for the real thing--the experience as the ride manufacturer originally intended. I feel as strongly about shortened and watered down flat ride cycles as many do about trim brakes, only more so. You see, I have ridden Whips, Eli wheels, Tilt-A-Whirls, Tumble Bugs, Scramblers, Dodgems and many others...as they once ran and as most do now. Compare Conneaut Lake's Tumble Bug to Kennywood's Turtle. One is a supreme ride experience. The other mosies along the track serenely, a sad shadow of what it once was.2 points

I'm not really much of a waterpark person, and haven't been to Soak City at all. Although I did visit Boomerang Bay twice..... I'd have to say, the only thing I really liked in the waterpark was Mondo Monsoon, and that isn't because it is the only good thing there, it is just that I don't really like waterparks. I think that Cedar Fair should improve on the ivy-covered path and instead place it over a small stream. That way, they can have an Ivy Bridge. I think an Ivy Bridge would really help people process everything going on around them. - homestar92, waiting to see if anyone picks up his horrible pun.2 points

It is at least nice to know that you can walk under a vine path at a Cedar Fair park though. On my trip to Carowinds in 2012, I stood under theirs for several minutes, just to take in what I missed out on at KI. It's a very cool feeling standing under one of those. You can see the Carowinds vine path in the background of this pic. I wish I had thought to take one from a closer angle, but hey, it gives me an excuse to go back to Carowinds, right? Of course, having ridden Mantis, Exterminator, Raven and soon Banshee, I don't think any of my favorites from my last trip would impress me as much if I were to go back... They've all since been one-upped by a coaster of a similar type.2 points

Man, I was hoping for a second that this post was going to say it was coming back. I don't recall when it was removed, but I think it would be awesome if they could put this back in (and perhaps a couple more in other places across the park, not sure where they would all fit.1 point
