When you bring up the Banshee webcam on your computer or an actual track layout and drag your mouse along the track like your riding it.8 points

I'd like to have Phantom Theatre back, didn't know it was yours. Can I borrow it sometime?7 points

I would love to see the Banshee scream incorporated at the top of the lift hill before the initial drop. I love pre-drop noises/sound fx. I think of it as the mark that signals the ride is about to get crazy. For example, the howl before the initial drop on Legend at Holiday World. I love that kind of stuff.6 points

Kings Island has a dark ride of sorts. Cedar Point does not and hasn't for years (one of Mr. Kinzel's worse decisions). It really should be a priority for Cedar Point (and Dorney Park, for that matter) over Kings Island.6 points

Hey, this is Cincinnati we are talking about. Around here, real snow is defined as ANY accumulation on the ground (not necessarily sidewalks) even if it is not a measurable amount (ie a scattered dusting, as shown above). At least, that's my definition. I think official definition is it has to be measurable by the people whose job it is to measure snowfall accumulation Side note, Banshee looks even more pretty in the snow!6 points

...when you rarely visit PB since it's even more dead than in the regular season and it's such a hostile environment. Pretty much every thread contains arguing, bickering, and snark comments. The only reason I've gone on lately is to keep my eyes open for any info about an offseason tour. I love KIC.6 points

We all know that earlier this year Canada's Wonderland announced the addition of Wonder Mountain's Guardian, a new innovative and interactive family dark ride/roller coaster combination. However, little information about the ride was released. I just came across an articel explaining more of the details of the ride, and it also said we can expect similar dark rides to be added throughout the Cedar Fair chain in the coming years. There were several things I found particularly interesting in this article: -The ride will be customisable, with characters and plot hoped to be able to be changed as easily as being done overnight. This would allow for clones of the ride at various CF parks, but with each park having a completely different experience and theme. Quote from the article: "Unlike Walt Disney, though, Ouimet doesn't mind repeating himself. That's why, if the initial ride is successful, he plans to roll-out clones across the Cedar Fair chain. Because of the customisable nature of the system, too, the ride will even change during the year at Canada's Wonderland - a version filled with zombies is already planned for Halloween 2014. Ouimet claims that Cedar Fair will develop a "library" of content that it can rotate around its parks, ensuring that they always have something new to offer." -It will only have a $10 million price tag. I was shocked to find this out. I was thinking it would be much more expensive, but kudos to Ouimet if he is able to add a world class dark ride at such a low cost. Hopefully it will turn out great despite the relatively inexpensive price tag. This sounds like an awesome ride and it seems like Cedar Fair will be adding more of these to other parks if Wonder Mountain's Guardian is a success, which I predict it will be. I wouldn't be surprised if KI and CP get versions of this within the next several years. Here's the full article: http://www.themeparktourist.com/news/20131126/15148/disney-cheap-how-cedar-fair-plans-reinvent-dark-ride5 points

Leave the train alone. However, I'd like to see the scenery spruced up and the characters put back in. I'd like to see it return to the way it was when I rode it as a child in the 80s.5 points

Cincinnati? Here in Cincy, everything is like the butterfly effect. There can be a wreck at 71s in Erlanger, and the traffic will back up on Interstate 471. Add a light mist or dusty snow and forget it. People drive like old grannies on a dry sunny day, but like the Indy pace car as soon as it snows a few inches. Got to love it!5 points

The only issue with the scream is if it were close to the line, it would be quite annoying while you are waiting. The night they announced it, the scream was not so annoying, but there was great excitement and anticipation. I think as you are the getting ready to hit max speed would be the best place for the scream.5 points

Just a thought, but you know how Intimidator and I305 start off with an audio "start your engines"? What if at the beginning of Banshee, there was an audio Banshee scream? Just a thought.....5 points

It's hard for those Gods to make anyone pay when their arms are non functioning Plenty of "one-armed bandits" have made people pay over the years. I think a water coaster (as in, roller coaster-water coaster (Mack), not water slide-water coaster (Proslide)) would be perfect in Tower Gardens. It could be called "The Expedition" and utilize the waterfall structure for the lift and drop. It could also possibly go inside the waterfall at some point of the ride. I think you greatly over-estimate the size of the waterfall in Tower Gardens.5 points

How about we see who gets the most rides on Banshee, The Bat, DB, Vortex, etc. We could hand out awards at the end of the year and it would be neat.4 points

When you get a little happier because your payment for the month came out of your bank account for the next season pass. Simply means we've hit the one month mark! We are getting closer to opening day - still hoping for April 19, 2014. it will take a good birthday and make it a GREAT birthday! (I maybe the only 40+ female looking forward to a birthday.)4 points

I would like the scream incorperated somewhere. I honestly think best spot would be lift crest. But seriously when Don reads through here incorperate that into the ride! It'd be a great add4 points

This is happening next week! We are meeting at Great Wolf Lodge (next to Kings Island in Mason, Ohio) on December 6-7, 2013 to have fun and celebrate with each other around the holidays. The highlight of the event is the huge indoor waterpark, featuring five major water slides (including a water coaster) and numerous other activities. We reserved a very good rate on a block of deluxe “Loft Fireplace” suites, and we're sharing the cost equally among those staying in the rooms. The final cost per person will be between $35 and $43 based on final occupancy. Three of our rooms are on the top floor with a large balcony overlooking Kings Island, including construction on Banshee and The Bat. (That price includes an overnight stay on December 6 and two days (Dec 6-7) of waterpark access. Even if you prefer to return home at night or to join us for only one day, your best value is still to share in the cost of the rooms.) As a reminder, if you haven't paid for your share of the room yet, please do so by this Friday. Contact me via phone or e-mail if there are any questions. For anyone who still wants to join us, there are still a few hotel beds and wristbands available. E-mail me if you're interested or want details: I'll be sending an e-mail to everyone within the next week with final documents and instructions. Make sure to bring the printed room confirmation (PDF) to show at the parking gate if asked. Rooms might not be available until after 4:00pm, so make sure to pack a small bag with your swimsuit if you’re arriving early. Google Doc with confirmed participants & arrival times: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ArgvxwYrfA7sdGlKbE1FYzc1RTFidFVzdnpUTDVqd1E&usp=sharing#gid=0 (Add your ETA.) Itinerary, Friday, December 6: All day: Hotel check-in and wristband pick-up. (Arrange a meeting time in advance if you’re assigned to a shared room.) 12:00pm-1:00pm: Hotel lobby meetup (Get your wristband, say "Hi") 1:00pm: Waterpark access begins 4:00pm: Hotel rooms become available (Your wristband is your room key.) 8:00pm: Waterpark closes 8:30pm-??: Treats/party/etc (Some 21+ will be sharing a toast. One can criticize the future of this effort without making judgments about the credibility of faith. One can even doubt the authenticity of the ark's proponents' faith. That I do not do. That all being said, it will take a miracle for this to succeed.3 points

My guess is that it won't have animatronics, but be more like a two or three dimensional film, and family coaster. Then it would be easier to switch out films and reprogram the bumps and grinds of the ride vehicle.3 points

As a fan of dark rides I think this is great news and look forward to seeing rides similar to what Canada's Wonderland is getting rolled out across the chain. Hopefully they won't stop with just this one, I'd love to see multiple dark rides including one of Phantom Theater's caliber in the park in the future. Love the direction Cedar Fair is heading in!3 points

That would be really cool actually and that gives me another idea for the Action Zone retheme. What if instead of a scary theme, it could be more of a medieval theme! Just think about it. All of the rides would have Medieval themes. Sure The Bat isn't exactly medieval but other rides would have cool names. They could tear down Action Zone things and put Medieval things. Instead of the water tower there could be a well or something. All of the rides would get a new coat of paint and castles and crap. Just a thought but if this were true it would take a lot of time. The only place crap belongs in a park is in its proper receptacle. Truly. No, he just wants it to look like Raptor!3 points

I'd rather Kings Island not become anything like Cedar Point. Nothing against Cedar Point, but the atmosphere is so much more welcoming at Kings Island than it is up north. There are certain rides at Kings Island that are far superior than Cedar Point versions as well. There is just far too much about Kings Island that I would hate to change to emulate a lesser product in my opinion.2 points

I would like to see a "shoot out" on the train, that would be great and NASTALGIC. BB1, catching the drift.2 points

I think your idea is perfect. Right at that moment would be great, plus that's far enough away from the station that it wouldn't get annoying. I hope it happensSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

If Cedar Point gets a different experience and theme, I think instead of a dragon, the creature should be a griffin. I'm really excited about Wonder Mountain's Guardian alone. I'm glad Ouimet is steering the company in a different direction. It will be great if one day a Cedar Fair fan could visit their favorite park while not having to travel all the way to Universal.2 points

I kind of like this Medieval Fair idea. I think the crap fits well as most human waste was thrown into the streets and not properly handled during the Middle Ages. I believe someone said something about the bathrooms in the AZ being removed and now I know why.2 points

People around here use the words "real snow" loosely. A real snow would consist of over a foot of accumulation to some people, while in the south, everything shuts down for just a dusting. It's interesting how someones take on snow can be so radical compared to another's. Take me for example, I don't consider what we get around her to be " real snow" sure maybe 1 or 2 storms a year we can actually consider it to be "real snow" but go to Minnesota, or any other northern state that gets lots of snow for that matter, and you are in for a rude awakening of what "real snow" is. ......but I digress, what was it we were talking about again? A new Roller Coaster being built? Ah yes.2 points

Just like what happened with the Creation Museum "Nah, it won't work out, it's too biblical and boring." Have you even seen the Creation Museum? That place rakes in the money from guests and STILL has free days. To be honest, it bypasses the Art Museum, even the Union Terminal! If anything, this place will exceed the Museum! It has the support of Christians (most), which if I do remember is a good chunk of the USA, and isn't there a Bible belt somewhere 'round there? BB1, a devout Christian, who will frequent the park, besides, it is (one of)my favorite time periods in HIStory!2 points

^Yes, the content can be changed easily to vary the experience. This was info was released when Triotech had just came out with the Interactive Dark Ride concept. So yeah.... zombies. My question is about when the ride will be themed to Zombies. I wonder if when september/october rolls around, will the content change, or will it only change during the Haunt.1 point

My guess is that no big signature structure will be added, but rather every other park will just have a generic building to house the ride. I could be wrong, but I feel like Knotts could get one in its old Dino buiding, maybe KI could get one in the old Crypt building or maybe a new building in that same location, and then there are the rumors for CP to get one, if not in a new location, in the old Pirate Ride building of somehow in the Coliseum.1 point

Hmmm...seems very cost effective and fun too! I wonder if KI could see a "mountain" in the future?1 point
