  1. Haven’t made it to the Point (yet), but it’s still disappointing to see the lake of care and quality chain wide. I get that as long as people keep showing up, nothing will change. But where’s the pride in the “work”? Standards need to be higher and anti-consumer anything is obviously not the way to do it.

  2. It is true that while it's annoying when parks drop their standards, people will still go and the park has no incentive to be better. At least for me, I don't see myself visiting on a Friday in October again in the future. I still think it's a great park but today was very disappointing and now I know firsthand why Cedar Point is starting to get a bad rap for some of this stuff. Maybe for the locals it's annoying but not as big of a deal. If Kings Island closed Adventure Express, The Bat, and Invertigo for Friday haunts due to short staffing, I would be annoyed but as a KI local I'd know to go on Saturday or Sunday to ride those rides. With that issue of having multiple scheduled closures, who it really hurts is the out of town guest. That's why any planned closure such as Iron Dragon will not operate on Fridays in October should be public knowledge on the park website. Of course I think the park should have the rides open but I'm not even asking for that, I'm asking for transparency to the customer who not only potentially bought a ticket but also paid for all the travel expenses to go up to a little, out of the way, dumpy Ohio town called Sandusky to visit one the best parks in the country.

  3. Sadly, you are experiencing what even some of the most die hard CP fans have been feeling for the last several years. People I know that would/could never say a bad thing about CP now complain. It is no longer the flagship park it used to be. Lots of factors come into play, but the overall experience isn't what it used to be. It will be interesting to see how they respond moving forward....sadly I think as long as people keep showing up in the record numbers, they have no incentive to improve the product. Why worry about if all the rides aren't going if the main parking lot fills up by 1pm on every Halloweekend ? Until the attendance drops noticeably, they have no incentive.

  4. That was the full song by this duo in the window at Snoopy's Boutique. I thought the song was pretty good and deserved to be the bed of the full video.

  5. I know many people that say the same thing, yet most end up going again and complain, yet continue to go. Some have held their ground and have quit going. But they are in clear minority as people keep showing up. I often ask myself every year for the past several years if this is that year that ticks off enough people that the chain sees an attendance drop the following year, and every year they have record attendance or revenue and that makes it difficult for a publicly traded company to care about the little things that run people away because people still show up.

  6. Incredible work, especially in an 8 year old game. Do you have any Planet Coaster 2 project plans?

  9. When I worked at Kings Island, managing PR and social media, if a major ride was going to be closed for more than one day I wanted to be transparent and did post on social media to advise guests the ride would be closed, and apologized. This includes multiple day closures for Son of Beast, The Beast, Vortex, Diamondback. Once the ride reopened, the posts were removed. But I felt as the person responsible for communicating to the public, it was important to let guests know. And guests appreciated the advisory. I didn't go into detail as to why, but a simple "X ride will be closed through X" was always appreciated.

  10. Our ET was open yesterday. And mannnnnn it had a line! Also yes, it was a bummer seeing Banshee closed yesterday. It's oddly quiet when she's not running. I hope she gets some much needed TLC during the off-season.

  11. That’s not even bad park etiquette. That’s straight up weak parenting.

  13. Yeah, outside of KI’s weak steel coaster lineup. KI in my opinion, has been the better park this season. The customer service was sub par at CP. Heck, my room at the Express hotel was dirty and the furniture looked as if a dog got ahold of it. Totally not worth the premium they charge.
