  1. They're looking good so far! I hope they can achieve a little more of a glossy red for the final product, but even the current finish looks like a nice change compared to the Boo Blasters "oozy" look. The fact that the roundels are still on there is a little strange since they went through the trouble of rendering the rest of the doom buggies without them for the teaser art. The ride vehicles in their Mystery Machine scheme, complete with front-mounted "tire". A view of the initial castle construction that shows how the new was built over the old.

  3. There's still 8 more hours in the day...they could post it at 11:59 p.m. and their post yesterday would still technically be correct But I agree with you. As an impatient person, I am surprised it has not been posted yet!

  5. IIRC that might have been a model of one of the Sesame Street dark rides at IAAPA. It does bear a striking resemblance to the original Phantom Theater facade from this angle.

  6. As excited as I am, I hope Kings Island doesn't reveal too much; I want to be surprised the first time I enter the ride building. So if I don't make it opening day, I'm going to avoid all POV spoilers which I'm sure some people will post.

  10. Simultaneously underwhelmed personally because I knew about this stuff before and not much new footage was shown (I get very high expectations so I expected a full ride pov in my mind ig lol), but very excited that this is a continuing series! What’s interesting to note is that there’s at least 3 private videos in that series, so either it’s a monthly thing leading up to March, or it’s on some other schedule. I also love the opening to the video so much. It’s very well done and honestly should be in like the commercial they’ll inevitably make for advertisements.

  16. Kings Island is about the worst environment for Freestyle Machines I can think of. Hot, thirsty people wait in line while kids spend 5 minutes trying to figure out what drink they want, if it will be available (have syrup), and lastly if that particular machine will have ice. Freestyle should only be used at food establishments that have some breaks in the action, At Kings Island it just slows down the line. For drink stations just do what Holiday World and Michigan's Adventure do. They run there's perfectly. If they keep running out of syrup and ice then there are simply not enough machines. I got tired of it and took the drink pass off of my pass for 2026.

  17. I've been through the costume shop(s) at Cedar Point...it's insane how many pieces they put together, keep over the years and the small teams behind them.

  19. Looks like Wild Waves is closing for good next year... https://www.fox13seattle.com/news/wild-waves-shut-down-2026 Sad to see any amusement park close (although this was a water park too), but in the Northwest, you don't have very many options. I used to live in Oregon and this park has a little sentimental feeling to me, because Wild Thing was my very first upside down roller coaster. It wasn't THE coaster that got me into roller coasters, but it had a huge impact on me. I remember after the water park closed, my family went over to the super small amusement park side and I decided I would try Timberhawk, their S&S woodie. I was scared, but had a fun time. So I was feeling pretty confident in myself after that ride, and decided I might try and conquer the Wild Thing (simple Arrow looper). I had never done an upside down roller coaster before, and was super sacred of the idea of going upside down, as I'm sure many of you guys experienced when you were younger. But I got the courage to get in line, and in the ride vehicle. I was super scared on the lift, but it was over before I knew it. I wasn't really sure how I liked it at first. At first, I wasn't sure if I liked roller coasters anymore. When we got back into the station, the ride operator then asked everyone if they wanted to go again, and if they didn't they could raise their hand and get their restraint released. I of course raised my hand but my dad put it back down and said "let's go again". So, as we left the station I held the restraint tight and braced myself for the upcoming loops. By the time I got off the ride, I had completely changed my mind and absolutely loved it! Thus began my love for roller coasters. Anyway, just thought I'd share an experience I remember quite vividly about this park.

  20. Yes just saw this today as well. As I just moved to Seattle from Cincinnati this year this is devastating. It's going to be really hard only having the Washington State Fair twice a year and then the Miler kiddy coaster at Remlinger. Wild Waves was one of the few parks in the region that sold season passes too. I'm now looking at a 2.5-3 hour drive minimum to go to any other parks. Probably will go to Playland in Vancouver more in the future as it's the second best park within a 6 hour radius after Silverwood
