What kind of ticket prices do you propose? The musicians and extra staff will want to be paid. Next interview you do with a CF executive, I think those would be some very good questions to ask. Why did the industry, namely CF and SIX, stop having rock concerts and only occasional Christian concerts?

Impossible, at least if I go often. As soon as my pass scans WindSeeker goes down. In two seasons at KI we have never had the chance to ride it.

Yep back in the 90s it was a quarterly ritual for us to take big stacks of CDs to the used record stores for credit. These days a CD has to be autographed before we let in the house.

Not much to maintain and if they didn’t make money off of it they wouldn’t do it. One only needs to look at what CP does for evidence. CP builds a venue in the CPS parking lot every year to host their event, which has to be much more expensive than what little maintenance Timberwolf requires. The attendees are largely chaperoned as well which reduces to some degree the need for security staff. The same is true for SIX parks, the only concerts they hold are religious in nature. I have posted about this before, with the rise of digital music distribution and diminished revenue the business model of the mainstream music industry has changed substantially. Concerts used to be a part of relatively cheap “promotional tours” in support of physical media sales and with that revenue stream greatly diminished it had to be replaced with high budget, expensive, visually impressive shows with accompanying high ticket prices. Counterintuitively Christian artists still sell a lot of physical media. Even in the 90s free concert tickets were relatively easy to come by and radio stations would literally give away hundreds for a concert. These days a station is lucky if they get 6 pairs for giveaways.

It could be that is his perception given the office chatter he has heard or even body language seen in others regarding the frustrations CF has experienced with Intamin. If some executive rolls his eyes every time “Intamin” is mentioned one could reasonably assume the likelyhood of CF doing business with that vendor again is slim.

But what you can hear is barely noticeable even in large numbers. They make lots of sounds but it is mostly all ultrasonic. I am talking about your common North American bat here, some of the big South American fruit bats might make a bit more noise due to their size. Maybe your dog can hear it. We used to go out to New Mexico every summer to caves and catch bats to bring back. They really are harmless and would only bite you if you grabbed ahold of one without gloves on.

I do t know if anything has been posted yet, but in addition to select designated days in the past the park has added days as the season progresses so keep an eye on the website.

Just curious what everyone’s opinion/guesstimate is on attendance between CP and KI. The differences such as operating season/waterpark/Winterfest make it a bit more nuanced.

I had to buy gate tickets for guests a couple of times last year and don’t think I ever spent more than $40 and one day it was only $27. There is always some kind of discount available. I did take advantage of the BOGO sale Presidents’ Day weekend just to lock in a decent price. They made me provide the guests names on the order so I guess we can only bring Tom and Jerry now.

A dome would be nice.

There is a good chance the crowds will be hot and sweaty.

Also consider the fact that CP is only an hour from Cleveland has become even more of a powerhouse over the past 10 years. On what level could a park compete with that? Even if one were to plop down something the size of KK or HW, could it survive?
