  1. Have you called Guest Services and asked what they can do for you? What was the response?
  2. Yeah, no. That one is above my pay grade, but good job there. Just we would all like the park to open asap, even to the point of over optimism.
  3. Probably just the radiation from the meteors
  4. One could interpret that statement in many ways. I think the most plausible is a early June opening is in question.
  5. Except if you are from NY or NJ, then you need to book at least a 14 day stay.
  6. Hmmm. Seen this movie before. They fire 5 of them every hour on the hour until the rest submit. Seems to work most of the time.
  7. Just like Thanos. Jr. has invited them back. Fitness center is open, should work out well. https://www.richmond.com/news/virginia/thousands-of-liberty-students-expected-to-return-to-campus-amid/article_a7b91be3-217a-598e-a367-34950271e6c6.html#1 @BeeastFarmer Been waiting on your comment on the “t-shirt” masks. Perhaps you can explain the different purposes of surgical masks and N95 masks to our viewers.
  8. It has already started. Liberty University is letting students back on campus next week.
  9. Disney really needs to use this downtime to make this happen.
  10. What some keep forgetting when seeing projections is the 2.5ish mortality rate is dependent on those needing intensive care receiving it. If the health system is overwhelmed and Death Panels are instituted to determine which lucky few receive treatment the rate will be much, much higher. Even for the young. There are no good options here. Just bad ones and worse ones.
  11. I suspect it is going to be a long time before there are enough face masks on the open market to use for amusement parks here in the US. One of my mothers coworkers husband is an architect for Disney and his whole department of 20 or so we’re just let go.
  12. The grocery stores were just not designed for this, just like the airports weren’t for the increased security after 9/11. Self checkout is better but there is no way to stay 6’ from the cashier in a regular checkout line. Curbside pickup is great but people still insist on squeezing each avocado.
  13. Was just thinking about the crowds at grocery stores. With so many off work it should help spread out the crowds some but in my area the stores are far from dead anytime of day. What were the rationals for cutting overnight hours?
  14. I don’t follow the issue closely but I believe their concern is the other compounds in the vaccine used to stabilize/transport it. Admittedly they are not desirable, but it is believed they are at safe levels.
  15. Looking over the order it appears KI could roll the Dippin Dots stand out to the parking lot. Hey, something is better than nothing, right? Should keep the rumor mill churning.
  16. I only filed for unemployment once and that was 30 years ago. I seem to recall something about needing to be employed full time for at least two full quarters to quality. Those could have been state regulations and certainly changed by now. Does anyone know the current OH requirements to qualify?
  17. Going through that order and essential business still covers a ton of people.
  18. There is also the potential for contamination of the packaging. I have not seen recent data on the survivability on surfaces but last I read it can last hours to days. Same goes for grocery store items. Need to be careful with that as well. A critical issue that must be addressed immediately as well.
  19. All the money I have invested in camping equipment over the years is about to really pay off.
  20. Although it is not a direct comparison because the usual $13 baskets include a drink when the meal plan doesn’t, the selection is limited so you tend to just settle, and often times, especially with kids, you get a full meal when a cheaper snack would have sufficed. It all depends how short the season is. But all of this is really small potatoes compared to the big picture.
  21. Completely agree but when a family also buys the platinum meal plans a shortened season changes things. Without the full summer it becomes a waste especially if busy school schedules make it hard to get to the park in the fall even a couple of times. Uncertainty leads to anxiety but the park is in the same boat, they don’t know what is going to happen. Whatever happens I believe CF will come out with a plan that works for the majority of people and will then do their best to work with those that have unique situations. I just haven’t seen anything in their history that would indicate otherwise. Hesitant to say this but I think younger folks just don’t have the life experience yet to trust that these kind of things usually work out fine in the end.
  22. As parent with 2 children on the spectrum I understand the temptation to find the bogeyman. We don’t don’t why, as hard as you work at it progress is slow or even backwards many times. There is no cure, you lay at wake at night and fear what will happen to them when you die. Fearing the worst, you imagine them as homeless and self treating with drugs and overdosing or even worse. My parents were scientists, I believe in science above all else. When science doesn’t have the answers it is all to easy to turn elsewhere. This is my biggest fear right now. In our current situation when science cant just “fix it”. What is society going to turn to? There is no end to the charlatans out there with the “solution” our problems.
