  1. It’s not the songs themselves that i necessary like. Several of the songs one really has to listen closely to identify exactly what it is. What I like about this soundtrack is It is 100% instrumental and definitely upbeat The symphony style of music, plus it is layered music that builds up as it plays It is extended versions of the songs, no just short snippets There are a lot of songs on the loop It’s a while until it repeats
  2. As long as people still buy season passes to the ride park, having a separate water park gate still generates more revenue. It doesn’t matter if people don’t go to the waterpark and still buy season passes for the regular park. That actually just means less use of the water park and less cost.
  3. I’m very sad about Winterfesr. I was hoping that maybe it would be a lights only event with a few rides. But the fact that they gave away a years worth of revenue with season passes doesn’t make this event worthwhile Also the fact that they could not do any of their up charge attractions like the ice-skating or cookie decorating, further reducing the revenue from the event. For those that complained about the up charges, they helped make the event financially viable. Cedar Fair absolutely cannot lose money on an operating basis at this time. They have enough cash to last until the end of the year and then the line of credit to last until the end of 2021. So overall I would rather see Cedar Fair survive That have the parks operate and lose money. It will be very nice to go to the park in the fall when it’s cooler. It will make wearing a mask much more bearable. It will be nice to enjoy the park in the fall without all the gory decorations
  4. Rebranding it to generic Soak City was idiotic. It was reasonably themed (at least the names) as Boomerang Bay. This was previous Cedar Fair mgmt that didn’t care about theming and wanted uniformity across parks. The water park should have been a separate gate. . They missed a lot of revenue including it all admissions. A small upcharge would have not turned anyone away that likes the waterpArk (Something like $5 on a daily ticket Amy and $25 on a season pass). The precedent was set by previous ownership and its hard to charge for something once it’s included.
  5. It’s short but great. The vocals are great and all of it is choreographed. It’s well put together for a short show.
  6. With closer inspection, I don’t think the bell is coming back soon. They planted A small tree under the arch.
  7. It’s a great ride but short. Wait times today were 20 mins around noon then 5 mins at 2:30ish. The ride is about sideways hills. Which are great. Amazing view of nothing but trees ahead at the top of the lift hill. The helix is a little tight and causes some graying. I prefer the long swooping helix on Fury. Crew is top notch. Little or no stacking with 3 trains running. The first train I rode never stopped and was out of the station just after the previous train crested the lift hill.
  8. Sometimes it disappears during the season. Probably hanging in the air requires special care At times. It’s been very dry this year.
  9. The soundtrack is spectacular this year. While I’m not a fan of the pop music in country style, the pop music in instrumental symphony style on I-Street is fantastic. It’s powerful and goes well with the fountain.
  10. It looks amazing. The park is well landscaped this year. Full flowers in the normal areas. Plus the addition of this. The calendar looks great. The clock also looks great despite its inability to keep time lol. The liberty bell is missing today. Has it been there this year? The mini Eiffel Tower is there.
  11. That ride is an embarrassment to the building that housed 2 previous world class dark rides. 10 years of plywood cutouts.
  12. THIS is the kind of food these parks should have. Original food that you can’t get elsewhere
  13. LOL. WHAT exactly were those things supposed to be? Every use of them so far is just weird and out of place.
  14. Kings Dominion and Carowinds still has theirs. For some reason only Kings Island removed theirs long ago. The structures do need rebuilt over time and the other two parks did so.
  15. It’s just trashy but it says something about the people that do it All the need to do to stop it on The Beast is install a solid wood wall on the brake run side of the lift hill so the brake run roof is not visible.
  16. The biggest flaw of Cedar Fair is they don’t like shade. Constant tree removal and unshaded queues. That poor policy is costing the money now. With the lack of shade and hi temps, wearing a face mask is miserable. The facemask itself isn’t the reason that I have avoided Kings Island so far this year, it’s the lack of shade.
  17. That’s a great point. It’s a great venue and would be easier to guarantee distancing as the audience would be seated versus on a main walkway.
  18. Since they renovated Inter Since they renovated international Street, the daytime shows are absolutely miserable for the performers as well as the crowd. There is absolutely no shade and the sun is glaring directly on the performers and right in the face of the crowd. In general, having a live shows is not a good idea right now. As much as they are an Important part of the park. I think the Kings Island is just trying to capitalize off his Voice appearance. There are a lot of highly talented entertainers our Kings Island but never have gotten the publicity that he is getting from the park. He isn’t even a long time performer. Maybe one previous season.
  19. The design of Racer 75 and Thunder Road is/was highly improved from KI Racer. 1. 3rd hill after the drop is/was a great floater hill on 75 and TR vs. the higher hill on Rscer that the trains just get over. 2. The split turnaround on Rscer really takes away from the racing aspect as you lose sight of the other train. 75 and TR stay/stayed together. 3. Drop into tunnel finale on 75/TR. Racer never had the tunnel even before they removed the final drop. Racer 75 is one of my favorite coasters because of the train interaction. Especially now that the lift hill is synchronized.
  20. This will date me. But my favorite memory is riding Zodiac and hearing the music from the Coney Island Disco. Every time I hear a disco song to this day I think of that ride and Kings Island.
  21. That’s a great idea. That area could definitely carry its own theme. It really isn’t continuous with Coney anymore. Especially now since they took out the islands from the walkways when they added the antique cars.
  22. The park needs more total family rides. Ones that EVERYONE can ride. Right now this category includes the train, helicopters, antique cars, the very Boo Blasters and the Carrousel. Plus the Eiffel Tower attraction. Gone are the Turnpike, Skyway, Monorail, Rub-a-Dub, the Zodiac and 2nd Antique car ride. All were nice slow rides that everyone could ride ( unless fear of heights on a couple) There is a reason that Disney is so well attended. It’s because everyone can do a high number of the attractions together regardless of their age, ride tolerance, etc. Regional theme parks really miss out on a lot of potential customers by concentrating on thrill rides and kiddy rides. It was such a shame that Enchamted Voage was removed and also a shame that Phantom Theatre was removed. Both were top class dark rides. Boo Blasters is a 2D embarrassment.
  23. Halleys Comet would have fit great with this scheme.
  24. I always thought that the back area of Coney Mall (the ‘75 addition) Should be changed to a 50s or 60s separate themed section. Although with the antique cars maybe a Roaring 20s theme would be better
