Kings Island 2020 Opening Day Count down!
Klabergian Empire replied to RedSummit20's topic in Kings Island

I would not be surprised if track work was completed by the end of this week or sometime next week.
-
Yeah. They will probably use the same cranes used for Orion to bring down Vortex when Orion's track work s complete.

Looks like they are beginning on the turn around (supports mainly).

Correct me if I am wrong, but dont you pay one price for the cups and get free refills the day of purchase and its $1 per refill the other times of the season?

Kings Island Opening Day April 11th, 2020
Klabergian Empire replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
If I remember correctly, that was the Palm Sunday Outbreak. Guess April 11 has a lot of history to it. -
And here is the tweet:

I would imagine that track work should be completed by the end of this month or beginning of February.

All those people wanting Area 72 bathrooms........probably won't happen this season though.

Where was that taken from? Shooting from that angle would give us a better view of Vortex demo.

Regardless, I think Kings Island's LaRosas pizza tastes pretty fantastic. It's better than gas station pizza by a long shot but its definitely not creme de la creme (very few pizza places are like that tbh). Kings Island has above average park food compared to other parks I have been to.

I usually try to do my best to be nice to employees in general, but ride ops are priority since they (to me) have the highest stress job. I recall last season Racer was down because of a nearby thunderstorm and I was first in line to get back on ( I waited an hour and a half in occasional rain and my legs were killing me BUT IT WAS WORTH IT!!!). While I was waiting, I spent some time talking to the employee who was standing at the entrance and we have a nice conversation and he thanked me for it. He said that I was one of few guests who he had actually talked to while he was working. But it was nice just to make his day.

I hope they at least keep the loops and use them for decorations.

As of 1:30pm, there are several trucks near WindSeeker, probably for Vortex removal

Chances are we will not be able to determine specific elements with Vortex's demo. using the webcams. Ground level observations are most likely ineffective since most views of Vortex are obstructed from outside the park. I agree with @Maverick44. We need areal shots to get the best quality pictures of Vortex's demo.

"Winterfest on Open!"
Klabergian Empire replied to Oldiesmann's topic in KICentral Footnotes & Small News
I second. -
Which coasterm is that above? I cant really tell.... I did not know it took the entire off season to do winter maintanance on the wood coaster trains. Thats cool that the park puts real dedication into making sure all is safe for the rides. ALSO, I had no idea PTC was still in buisness!!! For some reason I thought it was closed... One more thing. Whats up with the orange lap bars? Why do they not use the old full seat lap bars any longer?

Not trying to shut down the webcam discussion, but somehow we went from Vortex removal to webcam discussion. lol

I was lucky to be there. IT WAS AN AMAZING SHOW in person!!!!!!!!
