I can't answer all the questions as I've never been to Holiwood Nights yet. I do have a ticket to both events that weekend. If its anything like other events I have been too lines are usually very short or walk on. Either way much shorter than a normal Fri-Sat in the park. With Covid and half full trains that may change. You are also getting some hard to get night rides in Holiday World. I am a single rider and I'm sure many others will be going alone too. Again due to Covid the rules for meeting and hanging out with strangers or riding with them will likely change. It may mean no rides on the water coasters for example. I did not get any during my visit a few weeks ago. I'm in the Columbus area but again due to Covid it is not wise to carpool with strangers. If you want to sleep in your car find a rest stop nearby but that time of year its still hot at night. Otherwise hotels 7 or more miles away are a bit cheaper.Nobody really knows about Keys to the Kingdom. Its brand new. I assume they chose that day due to many of us driving right by the park on the way home Sunday. The final thing of note this Covid keeps going from bad to worse. I don't even know for sure there will be an event at the end of Aug the way things are going nor do I know if I still want to go. I'm strongly leaning toward a no and seeing if I can get refunds. Its partly why I went ahead and went 3 weeks ago. I have no idea what the end of Aug is going to be like. Nor do I have high hopes that things will be back to normal by the end of May for the next Holiwood Nights without a vaccine.

Indiana Beach 2020
SnakePlissken replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
https://www.indianabeach.com/covid-19/ Near the bottom of this page lists a lot of things the park is supposedly doing to help combat Covid. Anybody been there lately and know if they are doing any of these things? They were not when I went there on July 4th. -
Does the Banshee rattle bother you?

I rode Steel Curtain last fall and near the back it isn't smooth like it should be for a new ride. -
Michael William to perform at Kings Island

Why can't Cedar Fair put all the ride ques and shows under shade like I noticed Dollywood was doing. Almost all the ride ques are built semi indoors. There was also some heavy duty fans blasting air and lots of misty water on everyone in several of them. -
So you are telling me it is like the King's Island "lowest Price" Promos? Only 2 days left to get lowest price of the season, only 1 day, only 12 hours... Midnight hits and its only 2 days left to get lowest price again.

Probably not great since they don't make you wear them on midways or rides.

Last time I checked the Cedar Fair Platinum passes didn't get you in Schlitterbahn parks. -

So if the gate is 21.99 then it would take 10 visits now to pay for the $200 platinum and I can only use it at 4 parks and one waterpark? Reduced hours, no nighttime hours masks etc. -
Coronavirus Impacting Theme Parks

Holiday World isn't rinky dink but it isn't a chain either. -
There is times when the Steel Vengeance Fast Lane line is still 1 hour pre covid. Thats usually 1 hour fastlane and about 2 hour non Fast Lane. I feel like in general fastlane lines are longer at Cedar Point than they are at King's Island. Fastlane can cost as much as 165 at Cedar Point and tops out at about 85 at King's Island.

I was at Dollywood this past Thur Fri and Sat. I would say a good 3/4 of people in the ride lines were taking off masks and crowding people. The ride estimates were way off because of that too. The more crowded the park got or the longer the ride line the bigger the issue. More often than not the person behind me was inches away from me and it was quite common to have 2 groups in between the blue dots you were suppose to stand on. One time I slowed down and stopped because of someone in front of me on the midway and this kid just kept on walking and ran right into the back of me. Another time I had 2 people ditch everybody in the line then stop right in front of me. Then at the end of the line 5 more of them snuck in the fastpass lane and ducked under the wood railing and ditched me so a family of 6 in front of me turned into 13. I told the ride op and he actually gave one of them a reride for some reason. One of the kids. You are allowed to take masks off on water and "High Thrill" rides. What exactly is a high thrill ride beyond Lightning Rod was never clear. I don't see any problem with riding rides maskless anyways since they close off every other row anyways. Which leads to another issue. Every coaster except the wing had the back row closed off. Why they didn't skip next to last row and open last is beyond me.

I have many fond memories of King's Island but one that really stands out is passholder preview day 2019. A 45 degree evening and pouring down rain all night. 5 hours of amazing rain rides on The Beast, Banshee, Mystic and Diamondback. Everything was walk on. I debated for days whether to go or not. I finally said heck at the worst I'll be able to marathon Flight of Fear. Whether it shuts down in rain or storms I still don't know for sure but I don't see why it would. So I put 3 of everything in the car as I was prepared for another rainy day on Sat too. I wore 2 hoodies and had a blast. Everybody needs to ride The Beast at least once in the pouring rain. Maybe I'm just nuts.

The Taco place was so good I ate there both days I was there. I love the open air bar idea with cold ac blasting too. But this was last summer and the covid likely changed that. Also if you get a bowl you seem to get a lot more food than you do ordering the 3 tiny tacos.
-
They should go to that taco place in the waterpark at Kentucky Kingdom and see how it's really done.
-
Then its either new this year or I somehow always missed it. I know Backbeat does at Cedar Point.
-
I just wish Coney BBQ or Hanks or somewhere in Kings Island they would offer a BBQ sauce with a kick. I do like Coney BBQ but I wish they had a spicy sauce. Hanks on the other hand is more or less a bland Chipotle when they are not offering a mac and cheese bar. Now if those fries had the Skyline chili and their shredded habanero cheese on them it would be wonderful.

Your last sentence is dead on and for months I've felt like this forum is anything but. It keeps getting worse and I'm tempted to just leave. -
Kentucky Kingdom Experience - 7/13/20

I was at this park last summer and I have never been so constantly stapled as I was there. Usually I'm fine with rmc restraints but both Storm Chaser and Lightning Run made me sore after a few runs. Wonderful Water park and food but the dry side left me unimpressed. -
Hopefully Mystery Mine is back up and running for you. It broke down Sat.
