  1. Same could be said for a 2007 iPhone. It is both a piece of history and yet an ugly piece of metal to some.
  2. I love an ice cold draft beer on a hot day. That La Rosa;s stand in Rivertown is always fresh too. I will give you another reason too. Lines. If anyone remembers how unusually warm it was and crowded on day 2 of Coasterstock 2019 they might understand too. Soft Drink refill lines were a mile long but beer lines were non existent. I was like fine I'll pay $9.66 for a tasty beer and not have to stand in a line. Shut up and take my money!
  3. Shouldn't the Lightning Rod thread be moved here from Rumors? Since that thread isn't a rumor and doesn't belong there.
  4. The font for polls is hard to read now. It appears to be a light gray and blends in with The Beast photo being used. There is so many issues on mobile too like when I press the tab for notifications, I have an x covering up my options. I usually say if it isn't broke don't fix it. Editing to say switching to dark mode fixed all my issues. I didn't even know there was a dark mode or themes until yesterday. It was hard to find.
  5. My first visit to Dollywood was this year and I feel like a whole lot of that good stuff was missing due to Covid. I want to visit again when everything is back to normal
  6. I would disagree with the top tier part. They only really have 5 adult coasters. The other 4 are kiddie/family coasters. Out of the remaining 5 you have a wing and a GCI and I prefer Thunderbird and Mystic Timbers. That leaves 3. Tennessee Tornado is a smooth but short Arrow looper and to me not worth the drive. Mystery Mine is a unique Euro fighter that everybody should ride at least once. But it is rough and a bit of a head banger. That leaves the amazing but Son of Beast level of unreliable that is Lightning Rod. I was going to go to Dollywood in November for an RMC Christmas which is a Coaster Crew event but now that is unlikely. Would a chain lift even work? Doesn't the ride need to be going about 40 mph when it crests the first hill? I wanted to buy a Lightning Rod shirt back in July but the selection was small and the only one I liked was only in a kids size. The employee would not go back and look for me either and she said they only sold Lightning Rod merchandise in that one shop beside the ride which I also find a bit odd.
  7. We do not know if 2021 will be a normal season and things are strongly looking like they will not be. Also for anybody at a park that did not open and either only bought gold or could not drive to another park. How it paying in 2019 and not being able to use the items you bought till 2021 fair? I f you were late or short or defaulted on a payment a credit card company would charge you fees or take things away and your credit would go south. Why should Cedar Fair get a pass for using your hard earned dollar for an extra year without giving you something in return or giving part of the money you paid back?
  8. You may not want to google Drunk Riders podcast...
  9. I would use it if you could buy the alcoholic drinks with it like you can at Brew and BBQ. They end up being 11.66 each. But I'm in the same boat and have the meal plan.
  10. The lines were very long at Cedar Point. I heard one person waiting in line 45 minutes for a corndog and the employees only frying one at a time.
  11. Not as bad as Indiana Beach food but not near as good as Kentucky Kingdom either.
  12. I prefer Timberliners over Millenium Flyers but neither would work. I'm sure someone else could explain why. Something about how the track conforms to the trains wheels over time.
  13. Backbeat is always good and Hugo's is terrible. I tried Mac Shack and was not impressed with that either this past Sat. Maybe it is just the wrong kind of cheese being used? I have no idea. Not all cheese is good for mac and cheese and certain kinds do not mix well either. I can not really say which park has the better food because it seems like Cedar Point has so many more places to eat and I haven't come close to trying them all. I think I have tried just about every restaurant at King's Island except the Chicken place in Rivertown and the Subway if that even counts. Who wants subway at a theme park anyways. Replace that with something else.
  14. I was there this past Sat and it was packed like sardines. Even Corkscrew had a 90 minute wait. Weather was 60 and sunny too. People lined up for access passes a whole hour before the time to give them out and those lines got insane. I got in line for Millennium Force with my Fast Lane at about 6:55PM. The entire queue was filled up and the 7pm line wasn't even allowed in the queue yet. They had formed a line on the midway . I noticed the same kinda thing for Top Thrill Dragster. At one point 4 rides in a row that I had got in line for broke down and then 5 out of 6. Maverick, Magnum, Top Thrill, Millennium, then Maverick again. I'm thankful for my Fast Lane because I did get 12 rides with it and 5 on Steel Vengeance. Which that ride seemed to be running good all day. Without my Fast Lane it would have been a bad day at the park and a waste of time and money. At one point during all the rides breaking down around 2pm I was feeling that way anyways. I expect the park to be busier in Oct without reservations like it normally would be and the park knows this. So they added reservations back.
  15. Cedar Point has their graveyard out this year. Maybe Kings Island will too. Also it doesn't appear to be on Kings Islands festival list but if they sell the Jackolantern Juice try it.
  16. I wish the park had its own version of Last Chance Saloon. Just a full bar with some seasonal drinks. The Brewhouse is nice but unless I'm mistaken you have to stand in the normal food line to sit or order at the bar unless you get lucky and see someone come out the exit.
  17. Cedar Point was packed like sardines today and Corkscrew had a 90 minute wait but that isn't King's Island I know.
  18. Facebook tends to be a much more hostile place for comments. I'm in a couple event groups because I need to be but I wish there was an alternative for most parks.
  19. Carowinds tried Nov last year and had some kinda peanuts theme. It worked so well they closed early several days and made people mad.
  20. The no reentry policy during Haunt makes it hard to buy souvenirs.
  21. The fountain flamethrowers makes King's Island Haunt unique and it wouldn't be the same without them. Same goes for the glowing Tower with eyes at the top. Taking out the flamethrowers would be like removing the frozen water in the fountain during Winterfest. Its a tradition I never want to see changed. Also toning down the Haunt and making it more family friendly will absolutely not attract everybody. It will make the people wanting the more adult Haunt, the Fearfest style Haunt go look elsewhere.
  22. I thought White Water Canyon usually shuts down on Labor Day. Maybe that is why nobody was riding it? Nobody realizes it is open perhaps? It certainly isn't because of the weather. It hit 85 here with a heat index of 90.
  23. First of all where is the trucks? I don't see any? Do you mean food trucks? I love food trucks? Second I think International Street and its Day of the Dead theme last year and from the looks of it this year, was a step back from prior years. I see why they want to tone it down and cater more towards all ages but I prefer a more adult event. There is plenty of parks that do a more family style event if one wants that. Like Dollywood, Holiday World and Hershey Park.
