  1. For what it is worth, the Chattanooga area has already got a piece of Coney Island history. The Lake Winnepesaukah amusement park in nearby Rossville GA, has one of the original Coney Island and Lake Como railroad trains. Engine #35.
  2. Then, you will be disappointed to learn that the Coney section will be transported along with the rest of the display down to Chattanooga.
  3. Calm down everyone. As I had titled this thread, these are just rumors.
  4. With that logic, then ELI (WOF railroad) and Le Taxitour could possibly be on the chopping block as well. The former has recently within the last 7 to 5 years gone through an extensive rebuild and the latter just got new “antique” vehicles this past year (the same models used at KMAA).
  5. There has been a bit of a buzz lately in the Worlds of Fun community that said park will also have a couple of rides removed. Speculations abound as to which one. Ranging from Zulu (which is their Enterprise model) to Mamba (their hyper coaster).
  6. Call me a dreamer but it would be nice if, as a part of their plan, Herschend installed a train ride at KK seeing as their other theme park properties have one.
  7. Redesign the way people can get in and out, but keep the cavernous entrance. Keep the slow reveal of international street and the tower. That is a part of the KI experience. I don’t want KI to lose more of its charm.
  8. I don’t know how that could have been harmful to me, but thanks. I think. I have no reason to be against having the Eagles back.
  9. Personally, I would leave the spot sandwiched between Backlot, Jukebox, and the basketball game untouched. But, that is just me.
  10. Maybe something to finally go onto the old Tomb Raider site in Rivertown?
  11. Not controversial at all to me at least. The entrance is the way it is to act as a tunnel gate that you walk through leaving the real world behind and entering another. Everything is probably meant to be hidden from the outside to build up anticipation.
  12. Sell - While I do think it is not impossible for some parks to have the “Six Flags” branding added (i.e. Kings Island: a Six Flags park), I don’t believe it is likely to be that extreme as you had suggested. But, hey anything can happen. Imagine Worlds of Fun being renamed Six Flags over the World (even though it only has five themed sections). Buy or Sell: This rumored 2026 coaster that KI is getting will turn out to be just that Beast 2.0 they had on the survey.
  13. Sell-But not for the reasons most people think. I know people are upset at the situation this year and have given Zamperla a lot of hate for it. But, I don’t see them giving up on it and I will bet they are doing what they can to rectify it, no matter how long it takes. That being said, I see expecting something like an opening day opening to be setting yourself up for another disappointment if that turns out not to be the case. If they do manage to get it fully functional by opening day, great! If not, then we are none the worse for it. Buy or Sell? - Holiday World will do something with the old Raging Rapids site within the next ten years.
  14. If that is true, then it would be nice if one of said announcements is that of a new drive-yourself car ride (a-la Antique cars). Correct me if I am mistaken, but has anyone ever noticed that throughout SDC’s history, they have never had such a ride?
  15. I just checked Google Maps and according to them, SDC is roughly 3 and a half hours away from BOTH Worlds of Fun and Six Flags Saint Louis. That is only a little bit shorter of a drive than going from Kings Island and Cedar Point which is like 3 hours and 40 minutes.
  16. And there is nothing wrong with speculation as long as we remember that it is just that. Speculation. And that we should not go so far as to immediately assume that it is true.
  17. During one visit, I saw a visitor point at Mystic Timbers and declare that it was The Beast. I took a risk and corrected them in nice way, I hope. They didn’t react negatively from what I saw and seemed to be intrigued when I told them that The Beast was actually hidden in the back and that it was hidden so as you could not see what you were in for.
  18. Most likely it is only telling us that whatever is going in that spot will be thrilling.
  19. I wish and hope that at least the Coney Island display at EJ is salvaged and displayed somewhere.
  20. I do kind of wish they had a different color for each slide (like maybe red for one, blue for the other);)
