  1. I saw on the Facebook page that their was some sort of concrete pouring going on in Area 72. I can't find the post now that I am making this one, but if I do I will link it.
  2. This totally may have been the case. However, I think construction in the park as a whole was behind and of course getting the new camp snoopy area was a priority, so 21 and colder and the new drink station wasn’t a top priority item. As it is looking now it appears to be a ground up stand instead of a pre-fabricated one which of course takes more work. The alcohol stands that they did add probably were shipped like that and did not need that much work to set up. Another thing is the food and beverage people who do all this maintenance and oversee it also had the Jukebox upgrade, and the Chicken shack upgrade as well, so their have already been a ton of new additions and upgrades that one forgets about and doing all of that is a monumental task.
  3. Looks like The Bat only has one train currently working. Looking at the Facebook group only one train is on the track. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/AjEahhgQkL5FMiQE/?mibextid=K35XfP Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Any update for if anything is there now that we are in daily operation?
  5. Just a note CGA and Canadas Wonderland are also doing the same event as well it appears.
  6. Lots of announcements in one day. But hey not much to complain about only celebrate. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Also it talks about water rides so I wonder if it will also be in the water park. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. That is awesome, thanks for letting me know. I am a little bit behind in the Coke freestyle technology. By the Oktoberfest location do you mean the adventure port one. Not trying to be smart just trying to figure out if their is another freestyle I did not know about.
  9. The only issue with this is that a Coke freestyle will need a hook up to the syrup boxes and also to carbon dioxide which usually requires and enclosed area. But they totally could run a line to maybe the back of chicken shack and get it to run from there.
  10. I will be interested to see if this is done by the start of daily operation. I am starting to think it is going to have to be a pre-fabricated building, but I could be wrong.
  11. Do they usually strap down the water dummies when testing other coasters?
  12. Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but the USA Today best theme park came out today and Kings Island did not even make the list this year. Last year it was ranked number 2 this year it went unranked. https://10best.usatoday.com/awards/travel/best-theme-park-2024/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I do not think this has been said, but the Giga dive coaster was sent out to Carowinds and Cedar Point in their survey as well. Personally I think a spinning coaster would be awesome to see for the park and would draw in people from up in Northern Ohio, since it is something unique that Cedar Point does not have in their line up.
  14. As awful as this may sound, I hope torrential flooding happens year round down at the river and absolutely destroys this new music venue. What a joke for them to absolutely demolish everything, looking at the picture of the slide makes me sad about what once was.
  15. You have to think that for a lot of people it is the first time putting their training in action. A 16 year old kid probably is told things at training and they don’t listen. I will say they were definetly underprepared for the icee’s, but they appear to have mostly fixed the issue. I know this is said every year, but it is a lot of kids first jobs and getting mad at them is not really the right thing to do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Maybe they sold out. I would be surprised if they removed the sandwich from the menu after it appeared to be popular. But never say never especially in 2024. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Is The Bat open? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. We were thinking of going June 20th which is a Thursday because of school and work. I am thinking we will get Fast Lane is it cheaper to purchase it in advance, or should we wait to see crowds for that day?
  19. I'm not in construction or know anything about it so this could be standard. But I do find it weird that they left the nuts on the threading which means they would have had to put them back on. Which means something might be put there, but I could be wrong.
  20. After the most recent video and them talking about the new camp snoopy sign it will be interesting to see what happens with those concrete footers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. https://x.com/kingsislandpr/status/1775614175466729884?s=46&t=4lSJfhndTDI3gYOMGp--zQ I really like this format of post. I would love to see him talk more about the food, but it is a step in the right direction I think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Any advice for going up to Cedar Point. I am planning to go up with a few buddies and are going on a budget so we are thinking of staying at the motel 6. Overall, just hoping someone had some insight. I have never been before and am super excited.
  23. I wonder if the same thing will happen to Soak City subway. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. One of my favorite things about KI is all the new things that the culinary department has cooked up for us during the off season and also all of the amazing food that is back. Thought I would kick off this thread seeing we are only a few weeks away from the park opening and will hopefully see some menus dropped soon.
