OK - They could do an "iron-whatever" treatment to SOB and then borrow that sign that says "remodeled, not as rough as last year" to put at the queue entrance. And I have to wonder.....if that one ride were to be made in Paris, would it then be called a "French Tickler"?

OK - I have heard of trains valleying (I think that's what they call it). How do they get those trains moving again?

But what do tthey do to get the train moving again - especially in the case of Vortex getting stuck in the corkscrew?

I don't know a whole lot about what happens when a coaster train gets stuck along its circuit. Maybe some of them never do? But I was thinking particularly about Vortex. Besides wanting to know what the park does when a train stops during its course, has Vortex ever stopped in its corkscrew? I know that it can be stopped at the MCBR and that there should be enough velocity to propel it through the corkscrew, but has it ever happened that it simply didn't make it?

What are the boards between the rails (parallel to the rails) used for? i see they showed up last season.

Well, there's no ice in an Icee, and really is no ice in ice cream, but I still like them both. I like ice in ice water and I like to chew on the cubes (I guess that means I'm sexually frustrated or something like that). And Ice cold water melon is great but again, it has no ice. Ice Breaker gum has no ice, neither do the Ice Cube candies. I hate ice on my driveway, but in a rink for skating it's very neat. Ice Baby Ice is not my kind of music, but without ice a snowcone couldn't happen. So I guess it's 50/50, eh?

Next, the parking lot!

I just remembered this last night and I don't know how it came back to me. Back in the 60's, I was 10 and my brother was 6. We were headed to Cedar Point with our parents. We had a park map and had looked over the entire thing with great attention to the details of the place. After a fun-filled day, we are coming back to the car and my brother proclaims, "Hey, we forgot to ride Pet Check!" Ah, youth!

Season passes only good for one visit a day, so get your hand stamped on the way out if you are gonna be returning. Parking - keep your receipt and you can re-enter all day long.

I think KI is closer to CP than CW is to CP. Mapquested it at 187.

After watching a number of those coaster videos, I'm beginning to think the "whoa's" are a product of a laugh track machine.

CP had one back in the day.... Actually - I think CP had 2 - different ones in different locations at different time periods. It;s kinda like a barium enema - mind over matter - and you can make yourself sick (if you wanted to) just watching it, as you could from the top as you waited in line for your turn to ride.

No gold star for you. The park has TWO Skylines. (Some of us would prefer The Flavor of Cincinnati). That sends a chili down my spine!

Maybe there's just not been any wind to seek?

Cedar Point has a variety of coasters and DT is one of the few bobsled coasters left. I don't think it's unpopular however is does use a chunk of land which could be used to bolster attendance with a new ride

Good days for a smaller crowd. Get there at 10am and stay for the fireworks at 8pm. Enjoy!

That's because Cedar Point is CF's #1 park and all the others are second rate. Just kidding - but good question. Goes back to the ride CP put in a number of years ago and over the winter, one of the supports came crashing down. Then's there's CP's Space Spiral which has stood forever - unless there's some stories on this somewhere (calling Terpy!)
