  1. What a great concept!
  2. There were commercials for Screamin' Demon starring Mr. Van Dyke.
  3. Just a bit off topic for a sentence or two..... It's been said before (by me, in fact) that Cedar Point is looking for space on the mainland to use for parking. Therefore, intentions of using the current parking lot for new rides & attractions could be forthwith. Back on topic.... Although I have not been on Wild Eagle yet, it seems like an awfully short coaster. Maybe that's all they had in the budget or maybe other models will be of greater length. I do have to wonder if there were reasons B&M chose not to extend the ride's length or it was a matter of room at the park. Most B&M's have restraints that currently won't allow me to experience their machines. However, before my spine surgeries, I was able to enjoy several of their creations and found them very enjoyable. Even Mantis with it's added brake was fun. So, I would venture to say that this new Wild Eagle coaster will be pleasing. I trust B&M did their homework as usual. As for who's getting the next wing job, who knows - even Mall of America could use something new to attract patrons! .....or maybe CF will install it next to Big Dipper (in Eastern Ohio) so BD won't be so lonely all by itself (don't laugh - CF has done dumber things before).
  4. Firehawk - hurts my chest, but I understand the experience!
  5. It's either a problem with the timber or the liners!
  6. A high speed water ride. This would be something different.
  7. Oh, but it's so sentimental!!! We made love in that car!!! One more ride before we, sniff-sniff, say goodbye!!! .....and the hits just keep on comin'!!!
  8. ANYWHERE outside the park!
  9. They just don't make 'em like that anymore!
  10. If anyone remembers...... A few years ago I posted that too many water parks were opening in Ohio and any economy can't support that many. Why, look at Sadausky Ohio - Kalahari is expanding - so what's gonna happen to the other 6 or 7 water parks around there? Co idzie wokół przybywa wokół (Polish)
  11. Great ride. Smooth. Lifted me off my feet.
  12. Just have to post this..... From today's FB page - my friend Matt's post.... Matt Zaleski I see that Cedar Fair, parent company of Cedar Point, announced annual revenues of $1.028 billion --- $1.027 billion of that was generated from sale of the french fries at Cedar Point. The fries are really the only thing I go to Cedar Point for anymore... William Poznanski Kathy and I went there on the hotest day of the year. We stood on the concrete under the skyride and you could see the heat waves rising right in front of you. Some guy, not five feet in front of us, had an epileptic fit and fell to the ground. No less than seven people jumped on him because they thought it was a new ride!!! Henry J. Rybaczewski Hey, Bill - if he would have had a track on him, people would've lined up just for the front seat. William Poznanski They thought he was the front seat!!!

Does anyone know what happened to Flight Commander after it left KI?
  14. "No One Needs To Know" by Shania Twain, as shown in a video from the movie TWISTER, seen while in line for The Beast when the park was owned by that company whose name started with the letter "p"!
  15. I asked the mrs. and she told me it was E R. I should just Google things when I'm in doubt. Now, I have to eat crow!
  16. Please check spelling, grammer and proper use of contractions - otherwise, your post is in the proper place.
  17. A very close friend of mine hurt her back on SOB. She didn't report it and now suffers daily with pain. There is a lump on her back and I wouldn't be surprised if someday she will need surgery. F*** this ride!
  18. OK. It just seems to me that these new Intamin creations are ground hugging, tight twisting, similar movements and such to Maverick and, if KI is gonna get a new machine, I'd like it to be totally different. Just my opinion.
  19. Cookie cutter? The Blitz coasters are nothing like cookie cutter (and there are only 2 of them), more geometrical ride like http://rcdb.com/778.htm?p=1157, are cookie cutter. Blitz's are too well flowing and (obviously) not very geometrical. Turn left, turn right, go upsidedown, get launched, turn left, turn right, blah, blah, blah!
  20. I won't have to cross my ankles anymore! Yippee!
  21. Another thing.... Those Intamin Maverick-like coasters are getting somewhat "cookie-cutter-ish". It's time for something completely different, and King's Island should be the park that gets it!
