Inverted-coaster and Launched coaster phobia
Yes - blacking out can be a VERY serious thing. There are many reasons this can happen - some being deadly. Consult your doctor, but be sure to explain that you enjoy coasters but are afraid of the problems some of them cause. I, fortunately, have never had this experience. Matter of fact, when we took the 8th graders to CP at the end of the school year, I graded finals while on the Cedar Creek Mine Ride. I think the atrocities committed on the essays kept my brain from graying-out!

How much roller coasting can you take?
What about these radio dj's that live on a coaster for a week or two? I've seen them - stretched-out across a row of seats with pillows, a cooler, lots of sunblock.....all for a charity (you donate to the cause and when a pre-set amount is finally received, the guy, or girl, can get off the ride). I don't know if they still do these kinds of things - I've also seen a guy live on the Giant Wheel at CP for a week to raise funds for a charity. I wonder if these people get sick - or just sick & tired of the ride?

How much roller coasting can you take?
Opening year of the Cedar Creek Mine Ride, I was able to ride 14 times in a row - fun each time. Several of those times I was not required to exit the train as there was no one in the station! (pays to go early in the year!)

The best new coaster debuting in 2013 in North America will be...
Maybe they should buy the trains from Disaster Transport. Oh, wait a sec......they want speed, right? Forget I suggested it.

Parking lot coasters
A coaster? In KI's parking lot? Forget it. They won't even run the trams in the parking lot!

Kings Island 8-22
The train stopped on the lift and when the people were evacuated someone fell off and died. The brakes failed and a train came flying into the station colliding with another train and injuring 30 people. No matter what the park says someone will twist it around into their own story. ....after all, that's why they got rid of The Bat - some people were killed on it! Did they ever capture the Boogie Man that scares the crap out of you when you ride The Beast at night?

Control Panels
I have never had the honor of seeing a coaster's control panel. Let's start with The Beast. What kinds of things are on the panel/panels besides a start & stop button? How much REAL control does the operator have? Who, if anyone, double checks his work? Is most of it automatic? Like I said, I don't have any clue, so your input would be greatly appreciated.

There are laws for removal, selling and re-processing treated lumber.

The Most Ridiculous Thing a Ride Operator has told you.
While waiting in line for the Lion Country Safari, it was announced that the trains' air conditioning was not working. I asked the ride op how hot it was on the train. He answered, "About as hot as Africa - makes the ride more realistic".

Son of Beast roller coaster to be removed
My guess is that those trains have lots of damage from sitting. They could possibly be repaired, but that would depend on a lot of factors - I wouldn't begin to speculate on which factors those would be. Furthermore, I would also imagine that a coaster train designed to run forwards would net get an "all clear" to run backwards from any manufacturer. If there were a way to turn the seats around, all would be different - I think - but those kinds of cars are built with forward seating in the design - it's not just a frame with a seat tacked on. Now, there is the park's take on things. KI obviously had no problem with running one side of The Racer backwards until PTC said no. Over the years PTC has made various modifications to their restraints - I don't ever see them removing their new standards, so if they say no to running the train in reverse, I would bet that they won't change their mind. But.......you just never know about anything for sure until it happens. My mom always said to me, "Don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see". Good words from a smart woman!

Favorite Disney Ride
I used to be highly impressed with the Enchanted Tiki Room, but since they "modernized" it, it's terrible. Used to be seeing all of those birds, flowers and trees moving at the same time was mesmerizing.

Old Cedar Point Commercials
There was a Raptor commercial showing the Mill Race beneath a Tree - I think the Mill Race was being chopped-up - then the Raptor appears on top of the tree. I saw this commercial in a movie theater.

Sandusky Airport Sold
My recollection is that there was, and still may be, a boat (people carrier only) that loaded in downtown Port Clinton and went to CP & back. I know it was operating as late as 1988.
