^Yes, my bad for the mispelled names. But I'll have you know Cory, that Jerry Couch is not the crook the SOAPHS sets out to make him seem. Their site about Lesourdsville also has many wrong facts and large amounts of stolen and un-credited phtographs. Like I said within the coming months, PKIC will have something very interesting to show regarding Americana. Cory, since your a contributor there, maybe you could remind Kevin or Scott that the photos that are actually bills still need to be properly credited. I as well as Bill have asked them both very poitely and they've never responded and have just closed the topicwe created to notify them of the mistake.

^Yeah, I believe Coneys parent company (Park River Corporation) only ran it for one year.

Bonfante Gardens

Whatever happened to the Tierra Mietica contract Paramount Parks had? -
In my humble opinion, Americana surely trumped Coney (maybe not in the past, but definently in coneys current state). Al Couch did try to run the park and took his time getting it back open. When it finnaly did re-open after Park River Corporation (Coney's parent company) closed it, the management company Couch had hired brought in several new rides and really spruced up the place. Granted coney's python and Americana's Serpernt have the same layout, the screechin eagle is/was a fantastic coaster and there were many, many other great rides and aspects that made the park enviroment wonderful. However, due to poor attendance and the crooks that Pugh Management were the park was forced to close down again. Everyone likes to blame Al Couch and accuse him of being a crook, he is not the viliain people make him out to be, his business is in RV"s not amusement parks. Would you like to see Americana in its current state? Well then I think you may wanna stay tuned to PKIC......we like to make magic happen and have friends in high places...so keep close track of this site in the coming months for an exclusive historical update you wont want to miss.

Well said donnie, that reminds me of when they had the employee season kick off party a few weeks ago and a bunch of ACER fan boys showed up, the party wasnt for ACE, it was in honor of the employees who work there.

PKI to Mason: You promised to not charge ticket tax
Gordon Bombay replied to Erosarrow05's topic in Kings Island
Theres a lot more business in Mason besides KI though, theres a very heavy P&G presence and offices there. Sure, mason would have some trouble without KI, but theres alot besides just KI. BTW, who takes care of Kings Mills roads? Do they have their own service? I drove up tylersville through mason yesterday and the roads were great, when I hit Kings Mills to get to the cartrdige factory and surrounding area, the roads were TERRIBLE. -
Really? Care to share who thsi reliable writer is?

Paramount Parks web sites have changed
Gordon Bombay replied to mwhinva's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Still referred to as Paramount on the main CF site, I imagine that will change soon. -
What does PKI need to take the next step as a theme park?
Gordon Bombay replied to GADVFREAK99's topic in Rumors
^X flight fan, this is the last time I'm merging your posts together. Quit doing the back to back posts, I've warned you twice now before this, this is the last time. -
Why is miniature golf a priority? This is a theme park, not a mall.

10 Things You Would Add to Kings Island

PKI to Mason: You promised to not charge ticket tax
Gordon Bombay replied to Erosarrow05's topic in Kings Island
^I agree, the tax seems stupid, Mason has not presented a good case for it, and the councilman was extremely unprofessional. But let say they hike admission up 2.50, why couldnt KI just lower admission 2.50, add the tax, and it would be the same for the guests. Therefore you dont have negative publicity from raising admission. You have a park ****ed at the city, but no declining attendance. -
PKI to Mason: You promised to not charge ticket tax
Gordon Bombay replied to Erosarrow05's topic in Kings Island
^Didn't you say you live in Kings Mills, why are you complaining about Mason taxes? Why do you get taxed by Mason? Whats wrong with a golf course and park for the community? Whats wrong with a community center and pool for the community? Whats wrong with a skateboard park for kids? Would you rather the kids go skate on city streets and public property and tear everything up, would you rather the kids in the community center sit at home and watch tv all day? Mason does have a lot of tax, and seems to be wanting to get more from KI, but atleast they're turning thier city into something nice with plenty of benefits for residents. -
PKI to Mason: You promised to not charge ticket tax
Gordon Bombay replied to Erosarrow05's topic in Kings Island
What city is Kings Island really in? I know from the speeches at the GWL construction tour and GWL grand opening they mention the city of Mason. Like RZ said Mason provides fire and police service to the park, yet not exclusively, other fire departments and police units will respond if need be, think back to the "Beast fire scare" that was mentioned in the news last early summer, but the park has its own post office and when it first opened it claimed it self to be in the city of Kings Mills. Does Kings have its own mayor and city council? When I worked at the park Mason took taxes out of my paycheck. Being a minor I got all my state and federal taxes returned, yet not the Mason ones. -
PKI to Mason: You promised to not charge ticket tax
Gordon Bombay replied to Erosarrow05's topic in Kings Island
Hmm thats a good idea, lets tick off the one of the largest employers in the city that brings in quite a lot of business for the city. Dont they get enough from the property taxes they impose on the park already? Just think, 3 million guests per year, one dollar tax on each ticket, thats 3 million easy dollars for the city. -
You said nothing that was factual. Both myself and other members proved your "source" wrong adn that you had no proof of your claims. You cant just come on here making bold statements with no backing, the members wont put up with it. Now, drop your false claims and continue with the topic please.
-
The topic was about future plans for the park, we were discussing your "sources" comments on his future plans. People may continue as they wish, not just how you want them to talk. If you dont like what theyr'e saying, you shouldnt have said anything in the first place.
-
Oh Really? It all makes sense now! B&M is more than happy to pay his travel expenses to travel across midwestern america to just ride coasters, most of which arent products of his supposed company! Westcoaster....your hole is starting to get too deep....put down the shovel.
-
Answer me this westcoaster....why would a B&M employee whos job it is to "go around and ride coaster and report on there quality" be at a park that doesnt feature any of his company's projects? Your Either... A ) Making a fool out of yourself trying to back track. or B ) The butt end of a joke played on you by an enthusiast who comes to the park every year sporting his B&M ball cap and polo shirt that can be purchased offline. I think you have some phony balogna in your lunch or your either trying to feed it to us. Sorry, we already ate.
-
Such as who?
-
^It is debatable when you post information that you claim to be factual, when in fact it is not.
-
Really? Why didnt you mention that before? "Total Rebuild" was never considered by the park or the state. The state reccomened the lighter trains and added steel bracing. The park went the extra step to remove the loop to accomadate certain trains. The park had no plan decided before that report. Your "source" is wrong, as are you.
-
What a bunch of malarkey. Last summer no one told you the loop was coming down, that was a decision made back in the fall AFTER the state came out with its final report.

^Exactly, sure Cedar Fair may have faith and Cedar Fair may be trying, but so far their other strategies haven't worked. -
End of Geauga Lake ride section
Gordon Bombay replied to a topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Well thats wishful thinking, you are a seasonal employee, not anyone making a decisions as to what the park's new strategy is. As of the previous conference call, not enough has been done to justify its current and upcoming operations.
