You take a risk when going to a park though. Its your life, no one is forcing you to ride, if you get hurt and its serious seek medical attention. If the ride is operating, especially in this country, than it has been inspected by the state and local governments, its safe.

I love how people try to blame big companies like mcdonalds and PKI with bull**** lawsuits. Like the guy who got struck by lightning in the parking lot, while its tragic, its common sense, dont go near a big metal object such as your car. And that stupid b***h from Mcdonalds who claimed the coffee burned her! Did she not see the words "warning: hot coffee" on the cup? Why would oyu stick a cup of coffee between your legs anyway? Most of those people who file lawsuits are morons who are jsut trying to get easy money.

I saw Dane and someone else say they waited 5 plus hours for TTD. I cant imagine that, its over so fast, but I guess if your not up there often you gotta wait. I definenlty dont have the patience for that, I'd need a gameboy or my Ipod or something

Im the newest on the crew I think, so during my first two weeks I worked greeeter alot. I've been out guest relating during downtime too a few times. I have brown hair and my name tag says "Ronald" instead of "Ronny". I usually try to say hi to everyone who comes by greeter. Greeter isnt that bad to work actually. It's nice if your tired and its relatively shady and when the line is long its nice to sit and talk to guests especially tourists and tell them about how the park beats all others. But I really enjoy my job and I'm glad I got it. Everyone I work with and that I've met is extremely nice and helpful and the work day goes by quick and I have fun. We put on Power Hour at night and have a reputation as the best crew in the park.

I believe someone mentioned this the other day, I think it was near Festhaus by Bavarian Beetle.

I work at PKI as well, Beast crew, best crew in the park! Period.

^Those are small coasters though. If they were to remove The Racers that would be perfect room for a larger more costly coaster. We could see a new small coaster next year (I pray to god its not jsut a NC expansion and they give us a new flat or something) but we're not going to see a big massive coaster take racers place.

They are not going to remove The Racers, theres no point at all to doing that, the only thing that could take their place would be another coaster and we're most likely not going to get coasters two years in a row. Im sick of hearing about this Racer rumor, its so completely unrealistic.

Same here, I think it will be interesting to go in the winter! I dont believe any rides will be opened but my dad said when he took me as a baby that the carousel was open and so was the tower (although I dont know why youd want to go up that high when its so cold!) It will be interesting to see if they have ice skating on the pond again and if the IS restaurant is open.

^I dont think the train would be removed, it provides good acess to the water park and isnt in anythings way. I dont think we would get the Spongebob coaster, we just got a coaster. Although, I could see Ghoster coaster being re-themed to spongebob since Scooby Doo already has a themed ride. They could re-theme it and make it like the super saturator at Carowinds.

I hope they put in a massive B&M that is themed to the blue footed booby, the best bird ever.

Thats interesting, the zoo needs to get out of down town, although it is the 2nd oldest zoo in the nation. It doesnt seem like it would be in competiton with PKI it seems more like another zoo if they were to build it.

Tower seems like it would be fun to work, I hope I get sent there some time.

The only coaster I could see the park taking out is like pki punk said, the ghoster caoster because of its terrible capacity but the kids love it. No other coasters are in very bad shape. I can tell you that it will not be Vortex, Racers, or TG for very obvious reasons. If you all remember a couple of seasons ago Vortex was re-painted and as BOddah has said on here before it got new sensors and equipment so its not going anywhere for awhile. The Racers take up only a long stretch of land and if they were taken out you would most likely have to put in some other type of coaster and we arent going to get another new coaster just one year after getting one. Top Gun still runs fine and just had a new train put on it after it hit that truck, if they were going to remove it in the coming years I dont think they wouldve spent a lot of money on a new train or put a lot of money into fixing one and if TG was removed what else could go back there? Another coaster most likely, but we arent going to get new coasters 2 years in a row. Is Holiday World really going to put in the worlds longest WOODEN roller coaster? I really hope they do not, that is our title and it would suck to see it be taken from The Beast.

2+ hours the day after SOB officially opened, then after riding it I went back and waited 2 more hours to ride with my dad.

Id rather have a new coaster than some cars and I'd rather have a Happy Days sign than the flying eagles. I was at the park yesterday and I Noticed that the 3rd train is on! Anyone ride this weekend and see/feel is the bumbing of the seats was on?

I wouldnt believe those Screamscap rumors, they are just rumors. We'll see what happens.

VE DAY, Presidents day, Valentines Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Christmas Day, New Years day, and Italian Job stunt track day, a day that will be remembered in history.........atleast in Mason.

Darn, I really hope they get them working. Im hoping to ride it tommorow before my shift, hoping to get a better experience this time.

Wild Beast is the same as Grizzly at PKD and PGA, I just noticed that.

Im not risking my job because I dont work there anymore. I worked for tech services for more than 2 years before getting a new job this year at ADT. And who are you to tell me that my post is crap? Do you even work in the park? I know whats there because I helped put it all in there. Don't try to act like you know everything about Kings Island, because if you did you'd know that theres no such warehouse anywhere on the property. Basically everything they have ever taken out and havent sold or given away is still at the park in random spots. If you go back to the old wild animal kingdom near the greenhouse you'll see pieces of king cobra, like 20 old trams including one that was flipped over in the storm that brought the sign down, even the lighting panel from the old sign is back there. Now I know most employees of the park wont ever get the chance to get back there, but theres even pics on this site that show some of that stuff. Don't you dare call me a liar, i've been around, i've seen a lot of things at the park. I'm tired of you kids who worked on a ride for a year or two thinking you know all about Kings Island when really all you did was stand in a station or a drive box on the same couple rides day in and day out. If you think i'm not telling the truth why don't you ask some people who work at the park still (people who would know and have actually been in there like I have). What do I have to gain by making up a BS story? Chill out you moron, I was only saying it because if you were an employee and/or still are one you know your not supposed to say things like that. Even if you werent, why would you go spreading that on the internet does the park really want people to go looking in there now cause you posted it on the net? I never claimed I knew everything and I dont know everything. I do work at the park and I'm not saying if that stuff is in there or not, but even if there is theres no reason to say it and you know your not supposed to even if your not an employee, chill out buddy, its just a message board.

standbyme, carowinds is a bit different from PKI. It doesnt have a mountain or eifel tower. It has a racing coaster designed by John Allen that is somewhat similar to ours and the racing coaster runs over the North Carolina/South Carolina border. It's a very nice park and it sports two B&M's. A B&M stand up and a B&M invert, which is my favorite coaster. Great pics AZkindaguy!
