  1. KICentral t-shirt Semi-bummy cargo shorts Sandals
  2. I usually just keep walking, completely ignoring them.
  3. For some reason, everytime I hear about the show, I'm reminded of the classic 1966 surf movie (The Endless Summer). Will have to check it out though
  4. On the subject of healthy food choices, I wouldn't mind seeing a Potbelly Sandwich Works at KI. Good sandwiches and reasonable prices.
  5. Yes, but would people actually be willing to pay such prices for it?
  6. Kiddie wood: Beastie Kiddie steel: Scooby Zoom Wood non-looping: Racer Steel non-looping: Top Gun Wood looping: SOB Steel looping: King Cobra or Vortex Suspended: Top Gun Inverted: Face/Off Launched looped: Outer Limits Flight of Fear Launched non-looped: IJST Stand up: King Cobra Water: WWC or KCKC And yes, I realize that several rides have since changed names, but I refuse to refer to them as something other than what they were called when I first rode them...
  7. Chipotle, while tasty, wouldn't really work well in an amusement park setting. It's not something you can eat while walking around the park, and it could be rather messy for those who aren't familiar with Chipotle (eg someone taking all the foil off and then trying to eat it...). On top of that, the portions are a bit larger than what most people are used to (compare a fajita at Taco Bell to one at Chipotle...). As I've stated many times before, I think what KI needs is a good German restaurant in Festhaus. There's a lot of good German food that's perfect for an amusement park setting (various sausages, sauerkraut balls, etc.), and they'd probably make a killing if they could get some good German beer there.
  8. I love the "last time I was there" argument. You should have shown her KI's website to prove that you were correct.
  9. I'd either choose KI back in the mid 80s or Chester Park in the 1920s.
  10. RPW and Coney Skyline are my two favorite places to eat in the park. RPW has excellent fries and popcorn chicken, and Coney Skyline has that great padio.
  11. The only time I can remember being at Americana was back in the early 90s (I think) for a CG&E company picnic (my dad works for them). As I recall, we were less than impressed with the condition of the park - it was fairly messy and the rides didn't appear to be all that safe. With Kings Island being a lot closer and having more to offer, we didn't see much point in going to Americana again.
  12. I remember hearing that when I was there this past Sunday. Hilarious As for what happened at AE - there was likely a good reason for them stopping the train on the final hill. Ride ops would never stop a ride just because they wanted to, and park management likely wouldn't find such a situation very funny.
  13. How can you think a ride is stupid if you don't even know what that ride is?
  14. Didn't realize Putz's was that well known, but I've been there numerous times over the years (it's only 10 minutes from where I live).
  15. If business is at or exceeding expectations, then why did they need to suddenly raise admission so early into the season? If you want to raise prices, doing it in season is not the way to go...
  16. Updated story from WAVE (Louisville's NBC affiliate): http://www.wave3.com/global/category.asp?c...;clipId=3820894
  17. You also weren't at RWCW like many of us were
  18. Might have been the same guy yesterday who got the entire train to growl as they were leaving the station because someone else growled
  19. 30 after getting 6 more in yesterday
  20. Yesterday as I was walking through Coney Mall, one of the games workers was singing along to "Stayin' Alive" by the BeeGees
  21. The plastic zip tie is holding the foam on there. Bottom right of the restraint. I don't understand why we're supposed to cram our feet under the restraint as it's not comfortable at all, especially with sandals on. That was just pure luck on my part. The color is due to the lighting in the area. They chose a nice soft lighting rather than the bright fluorescent lighting like you see in the background.
  22. Hmmm.... There's a Culver's up in Mason on Tylersville. Will have to stop there next weekend when I'm up at KI for the unofficial KIC party

  24. I just have to ask why you're looking for a Whip for sale. Because of the topic on what we'd do if we had $100 million to spend at KI. I was curious as to what a whip would cost
  25. Yes, it's a disgusting job, but someone has to do it, and there are products such as Goo Gone that will make the job easier.
