  1. See also the Cincinnati Zoo, which had an Ice Age film in its 4D theater during the holidays.
  2. WindSeeker is popular to some extent, but not nearly as much as Banshee and Diamondback. It also wasn't as much of a large scale attraction as Diamondback and especially Banshee.
  3. I'm sure KI knows what they're doing here. Their last two large-scale attractions (Diamondback and Banshee) have both been huge hits.
  4. We likely won't be seeing any in Cincinnati either given what happened the last time they tried advertising in this area.
  5. It's a division of the El Paso Police Department. It looks like it's fairly common among police/sheriff's departments in Texas.
  6. For those wondering, a Sizzler is very similar to a Scrambler. The operator should not have let the teens ride without a working seatbelt.
  7. The only thing I could find related to that in the official announcement is this: http://www.nbcuniversal.com/article/nbcuniversal-announces-acquisition-dreamworks-animation
  8. You're right. I completely forgot that Ice Age wasn't part of Dreamworks. Not sure why I thought it was :/
  9. If the powers that be feel there's enough interest in a particular franchise, I'm sure we'll see some Dreamworks stuff popping up at Universal Studios. They certainly have a lot of franchises to work with, especially with another Ice Age movie due out this summer.
  10. Still planning to stop by there when I'm up that way in July if they do open as planned. It may be my only chance.
  11. It likely is possible to somehow stop the ride at the top and release the restraints, but transferring from a seat to the center of the tower would be extremely dangerous even with a harness, and I can't think of any reason why maintenance would ever need to do that.
  12. I wouldn't think Rango was popular enough to warrant dedicating an entire section of a theme park to it. Good movie, albeit a bit odd at times.
  13. Looks like Paramount is getting back in the theme park business... http://thrillgeek.com/2016/04/paramount-london-british-disneyland-planned-for-opening-in-2021/ Sent from my LG G5 using Tapatalk
  14. I'll still be surprised if they actually do open, though I am kind of hoping they do since I'll be up that way in July and will have time to kill the night I get into Erie.
  15. On a related note, the park's website claims they're opening Memorial Day weekend this year. They also list season pass prices on the site along with a phone number to call for more information.
  16. Woodstock Express was my first ride of the regular season (first ride of the season period was Banshee on passholder preview night). I love that coaster.
  17. I wouldn't pay much attention to Screamscape. This is the site that's know to retroactively change things to make it look like they were right all along even if they weren't.
  18. As far as the water bottle fountains go - they did have a few last year, but have put them at all of the restrooms and drink refill stations this year.
  19. Gotta love the teasing from Don.. https://twitter.com/KingsIslandPR/status/721382336214999040
  20. Lights were on in the helix when I rode Beast yesterday around 1 in the afternoon. That seems to be a recurring situation early in the season as I recall. There was also a nice smell of freshly stained/painted wood back there.
  21. If food lines are as bad on any typical busy day as they were today, I'm sure a lot of people will be reconsidering the dining plan next year. Took me close to 30 minutes to get food at Juke Box Diner this afternoon.
  22. I'm always glad to see them getting trains out quickly, but this "power hour" nonsense has got to stop. Take your time and do things safely, rather than rushing and trying to get trains out as quickly as possible.
  23. Looking forward to trying it when I visit the park for Holiwood Nights in about a month and a half.
  24. There are too many "creamy whip" places around here I need to try. If the weather stays nice like this I may venture out to Silver Grove Dairy Bar next week. Several coworkers have raved about the place. (For those who don't know, Silver Grove is slightly east of Coney Island on the other side of the river). It's about a 45-minute drive from here, so it's not a place I'll frequent.
  25. I need to get down there as well since it, like Putz's, is only 5-10 minutes from me.
