So many great pictures. Here I was thinking we didn't have many clear pictures of it. Thanks for sharing! Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk

Please capitalize the third and seventh Buffalo, as they refer to the city. I'm glad you know what's going on here. I still have no clue what that's about Edit: Wikipedia sheds some light on the confusion: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buffalo_buffalo_Buffalo_buffalo_buffalo_buffalo_Buffalo_buffalo

They're open on Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day as well. I don't see why Easter should be any different.

The past several seasons, KI has opened on a Saturday and has been closed the next day for a private party. That is not the case this year.
-
I doubt it. It's likely more just the personal preferences of those running the park.

Who is going to try the new Banshee Ice Cream?

Charlie Brown Coming to the Big Screen
Oldiesmann replied to CoastersRZ's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
The criticism over Snoopy mostly came when the park made the decision to convert the kiddy area from Nick to Snoopy. Kids today didn't know who Snoopy was, they didn't like Snoopy, they loved Nick, etc. Nevermind that most of the shows the rides were themed after hadn't aired in years anyway. The criticism pretty much died down once people realized that the park was going to go to Snoopy regardless of what some outspoken parents said. -
Whither Conneaut Lake Park Now?

If everything they're claiming is true, it's time to fire the trustees or take them to court on the grounds of negligence of duties... -
Explain to me then why YouTube videos taken of Banshee from OFF property testing were asked to be removed from the site? Even though it was created completely legally. Is it illegal to tape the park from off property? Its more than just links and photos. They have been controlling every little thing. You don't see that being done to lets say, TPR? They have events and such all the time. They post stuff like that all the time. I don't see TPR getting hate from parks? Also, when you cited your papers in school. Did you contact every source you used, and asked if you could use it on your paper? I can guarantee that is a no. Have you ever gone over the speed limit in your car by 1 or 2 mph? Oh you broke the law. Ever casually roll through a stop sign? Ohp. That too. HUGE difference between law, and justice. The reason for the photos/videos thing is likely because the park doesn't want people thinking they can just come by the park anytime they want to get photos/videos. Most of us here already know that we're not allowed to take pictures/videos from park property right now, but someone else might not know that. The park has better things to do right now than kick people off property for trespassing, and preventing unofficial images/videos lessens the likelihood that they'll have to deal with that. The paper citation and traffic laws are irrelevant here. The point is, the park has asked us to do something, and there's no reason to complain about it. If you don't like the rules, go elsewhere or don't post things that will be affected by those rules. I cannot explain why other parks don't do this to TPR (or even if they do, as I don't visit that site much). This isn't TPR, and KI isn't other parks. Long story short, the first rule of any fan forum is to never be on the bad side of whatever official entity your site is about. They can and will find ways to shut you down if they don't like how you're representing their image.

This looks interesting. I've never seen a Cirque du Soleil style show, and this is certainly different than anything KI's put on in the past. It's also certain to be more family-friendly than Ed Alonzo was (I liked his shows, but I'm sure not everyone liked the scantily-clad women or poop jokes).

The easiest way to get around this is to either click the "Paste as Plain Text" button (the middle "clipboard" icon), or set the WYSIWYG editor to always paste as plain text by default (click the button at the far right of the top row, check "Paste as plain text by default" and click "OK"). That will prevent any HTML formatting from the source from messing you your post.

As far as tomorrow's announcement goes... Someone on the forum mentioned seeing work near the carousel earlier. This reminded me that KI posted a picture of the organ innards earlier in the off season. I'm thinking they might be announcing the return of the beloved Wurlitzer carousel organ. There was quite a bit of excitement when that picture was posted and most of us have forgotten about it now. It's definitely something that would appeal to all ages, and it would be new for this season. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk

It said "something" that would appeal to all ages. Not necessarily a ride. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk

Correct, same design and reorder them. Or design a cheaper, single color ink shirt. But what if we want a new design with last year's higher-quality style?

Kings Island is getting a marquee sign upgrade
Oldiesmann replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
Where did you hear this? The latest I can find is that they were in the process of looking at the feasibility of the proposed changes and what (if any) alternatives exist. http://www.wceo.us/pages/I%252d71-%252d-Western-Row-Road-Interchange.html Looking forward to seeing sign improvements. I don't see them getting a color one though as it wouldn't really serve any purpose with the sign currently being as big as it is. -
Voted, and not losing now
-
You may want to clarify the options. It sounds like we either have a choice between the exact same design as last year, or a new design for 2014 but lower quality to keep costs down. I'd prefer a high-quality shirt like last year's with a new design

They played a few songs from that album - "Sick of It", "Not Gonna Die" and "Fire and Fury". The rest was from their previous two studio albums ("Hero", "Monster", "The Last Night", "Whispers In The Dark" and "Rebirthing").

This past Friday, I drove up to Columbus for a concert (We as Human, Mandisa, Brandon Heath, Third Day, Peter Furler and Skillet for those familiar with Christian music). This was my first time in Columbus (save for a stop at the Quaker Steak & Lube in Polaris on the way back from a Navigators retreat years ago, and passing through on the way to a concert in Zanesville in 2012). I arrived in Columbus a little after 3. I ended up getting off at a different exit than planned (I got off at High Street instead of Rich Street), but following signs to the statehouse got me where I needed to go (although I turned the wrong way on Broad and ended up about 15 blocks east of where I wanted to be). I arrived at Franklin County Veterans Memorial (where the concert was) around 3:15. The concert didn't start until 6:30, but I wanted to get there before rush hour and also wanted time to explore the area a bit beforehand. My first stop after parking was the statehouse. As I walked towards the capitol building, I noticed that Columbus has kind of a fun "big city" feel to it. Obviously Columbus is much bigger (and apparently flatter) than Cincinnati, and seems to be less spread-out as well, but walking around downtown really gives you a sense of being in a major city. I thought the CoGo system was pretty cool and laughed at Channel 10's Times-Square-esque news ticker sign (not sure why I find that funny, but I do ). After taking several pictures at the statehouse (and marveling at the cool architecture of nearby buildings such as the Columbus Post-Dispatch building and the Leveque Tower), I headed across the street to the Rhodes State Office Tower. I checked in with security to get a visitors pass and boarded the elevator for the 40th floor. The view from up there is spectacular, and once again made me realize how unique the terrain of Cincinnati is - Columbus seems quite a bit flatter than Cincinnati. By the time I got back down to the ground floor, it was almost 4:30, so I headed towards German Village for dinner at Juergen's Restaurant and Bakery, stopping along the way to get photos of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church (I love old churches) and the "old old post office" building, which reminds me in some ways of Cincinnati's City Hall. The food at Juergen's was great (I had the "Kaeseschnitzel"), but it was weird hearing country music in a German restaurant. It was also amazing how quickly the surroundings went from bustling big city to small-town charm - narrow brick roads, well-kept old brick houses, etc. I then headed back towards the concert venue, taking a slightly different route and trying not to be blinded by the sun. This time I walked along Washington Boulevard, past the front of what used to be Central High School (now part of COSI). I got back to the concert venue around 6 and was glad I had chosen to park when I got there, as traffic was crazy at that point. The concert was at 6:30 and lasted 4 hours. The auditorium at the veteran's memorial is a nice venue and was a nice change from the large arenas that large shows such as that one are typically held at. Overall I had a great time during my 3-hour tour of downtown Columbus and nearby areas. It's unfortunate that I didn't have time to do COSI (especially with it being right across the street from the concert venue), but I'm sure I'll make it back up there some day. Maybe we can do a KIC COSI trip someday.

If you live in the area, take a trip to Stricker's Grove during one of their Family Days this year. You will not regret it. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk -
I'm really looking forward to this season. Matt Ouimette and pals up in Sandusky continue to prove what a great choice he was, and I can't wait to see what other improvements/changes are coming that we haven't been made aware of yet
