Not according to the calendar on the park's website... Unfortunately I'm going to have to make a special trip to get my platinum pass processed. I was originally planning to have it processed when I'm up there for media day, but processing doesn't start til 4 that day and I always have to work at 4 on Thursdays (since Media Day officially ends at 2, I didn't request the day off). I'm definitely not going to do it opening day for obvious reasons.

I don't know all of the details behind this, but this seems to be one of the biggest (non-ride) attractions at Kings Dominion this year. Apparently this was a popular attraction at the park years ago (not sure when) and the park decided to bring it back for their 40th anniversary this year. The Golden Ticket Awards are essentially a big joke to most outside the amusement industry. I will be very surprised if KI gets anything besides its typical Best Kids Area.

I seriously need to make another trip out there this summer. I went there once several years ago and had a lot of fun.

I wonder if they'll actually be able to make any money under the original name with that kind of a reputation. They might attract tourists who are unaware of its problems, but I certainly wouldn't want to visit that place when it's in the hands of someone who was partially responsible for its troubled past.

I remember the footprints going all the way to the rear of the Eiffel Tower in 2005. It was a great way to tell people how to get to The Beast - go to the tower, look for the paw prints and follow them to the ride.

Also, are you using Internet Explorer 11? Reports have been that the editor doesn't work with IE11 due to the code not knowing what browser it is. If that's the case, using an alternate browser such as Firefox or Chrome will fix your issue as well.

They're probably still testing it and getting it programmed.

I think we can all be glad that Paramount never bought Cedar Fair. I can't imagine what a mess the CF parks would be in today if that had gone through.

That's a tough situation though. If you're complaining about park noise that comes from things that have been done since before you moved in, then yes, you should move elsewhere. However, you likely have a valid complaint if the park starts doing things differently to create additional noise (such as, for example, extending the fireworks show to an hour every night). Also, from what others have said, ERT was not rolled back to 9:30 because of noise complaints - it was done so because it was under-utilized - there weren't enough people taking advantage of it for them to warrant keeping ERT going for another 30 minutes in the mornings.

That's a completely different situation. I believe most networks license the films directly from the studio or distributor. Organizations like KI would go through the MPLC instead.

I also had problems around 2:30am this morning - tried to post something and it never went through, and I was unable to connect to the forum again at that point (I didn't stick around to see how long it was down though).

They're open on Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day as well. I don't see why Easter should be any different.

The past several seasons, KI has opened on a Saturday and has been closed the next day for a private party. That is not the case this year.

I doubt it. It's likely more just the personal preferences of those running the park.
