  1. As a reminder, to attend media day you must be a current member of one of the previously-announced coaster clubs and also have registered with the park through their website during the registration period.
  2. Although it seems strange that the park hasn't released benefit details less than a week before the park opens, when you consider how big Thursday is for the park, it really makes sense. What better way to sell passes than reveal all the benefits when all eyes are on the park? They get to sell the new coaster to the media and also show people what perks they get when they buy a pass. The new coaster, combined with the ERT and other perk info, will be a great motive to sell more passes, especially since the park still has roughly a month and a half til Gold disappears (assuming it lasts through the end of May like it usually does).
  3. These people are also forgetting the trouble that would certainly be caused if these businesses took it upon themselves to assess someone's disabilities - especially if the person doing the assessment was not qualified to make such decisions. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk
  4. I really should hit Putz's more often considering it's 5 minutes from my house. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk
  5. I need to hit the Air Force museum again sometime. When I was up there a few years ago, I didn't see the flight simulator things and missed the Presidential Hangar as well. It'll be nice when all of that is in the main part of the museum. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk
  6. I wish KI had a proper mobile site. In order to view that page, I had to tap Full Site, then close the tab and click your link again (so I didn't have to dig through the menus on my phone). Hopefully that'll be addressed this season. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk
  7. It's still hard to believe it's only going to be in the low 40s on Tuesday. These past few days have been quite enjoyable.
  8. I really feel sorry for the people who are in the position of making these decisions. While the "allow scheduling of rides/attractions" option will fix the issue that the new system causes for guests with certain disabilities, it's a very risky option. At that point you're either having to take a guest's word for it (which puts us back at the possibility for abuse, albeit a less appealing for those who were causing the problems), or leaving it up to unqualified employees to decide what option is best for each guest's situation (which will undoubtedly cause many additional problems, especially in today's overly-sensitive society where accidentally offending someone could lead to an expensive lawsuit). It will be interesting to see how Disney and the courts choose to handle this.
  9. I haven't made it to Zip Dip yet. I've been to Putz's, Gold Top Dairy Bar (Blue Rock near Colerain) and Eat n Treat (Blue Rock and Cheviot). I also went to Whipty Do once a couple years ago. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk
  10. The Weather Underground and FOX19 are both predicting highs in the mid 50s with no rain for Media Day. Neither source goes beyond 10 days though. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk
  11. It's lowercase because that's how Mozilla decided to do things. If you try to capitalize Firefox in the URL, you'll get an error page instead.
  12. Sooo will people only be allowed into the park once it is 11:30? Or will part of International Street be open sooner? Just thinking back to years past when you were let in earlier, then waited before being allowed back to the ride. Since Banshee opens to passholders at 11:30, I doubt anyone will be allowed into the park before then.
  13. If the queues are anything like the ones at KI, they probably reserve one side of the stairs for FL and the other side for regular. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk
  14. We are having a fundraiser to be the first night riders, Scream for A Kid Again. As of today more than $75,000 has been raised for the Greater Cincinnati chapter of A Kid Again. Thanks! Not sure how I forgot about that! Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk
  15. Details of the first rider auction haven't been announced yet. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk
  16. Not according to the calendar on the park's website... Unfortunately I'm going to have to make a special trip to get my platinum pass processed. I was originally planning to have it processed when I'm up there for media day, but processing doesn't start til 4 that day and I always have to work at 4 on Thursdays (since Media Day officially ends at 2, I didn't request the day off). I'm definitely not going to do it opening day for obvious reasons.
  17. I don't know all of the details behind this, but this seems to be one of the biggest (non-ride) attractions at Kings Dominion this year. Apparently this was a popular attraction at the park years ago (not sure when) and the park decided to bring it back for their 40th anniversary this year. (Terpy or anyone else familiar with KD, please fill in the details ). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rs0edT_fo8M
  18. The Golden Ticket Awards are essentially a big joke to most outside the amusement industry. I will be very surprised if KI gets anything besides its typical Best Kids Area.
  19. You're wondering what surprises the park has in store for the upcoming season that they haven't already revealed on social media
  20. I seriously need to make another trip out there this summer. I went there once several years ago and had a lot of fun.
  21. I wonder if they'll actually be able to make any money under the original name with that kind of a reputation. They might attract tourists who are unaware of its problems, but I certainly wouldn't want to visit that place when it's in the hands of someone who was partially responsible for its troubled past.
  22. I remember the footprints going all the way to the rear of the Eiffel Tower in 2005. It was a great way to tell people how to get to The Beast - go to the tower, look for the paw prints and follow them to the ride.
  23. Also, are you using Internet Explorer 11? Reports have been that the editor doesn't work with IE11 due to the code not knowing what browser it is. If that's the case, using an alternate browser such as Firefox or Chrome will fix your issue as well.
  24. They're probably still testing it and getting it programmed.
  25. I think we can all be glad that Paramount never bought Cedar Fair. I can't imagine what a mess the CF parks would be in today if that had gone through.
