It's highly unlikely that Winterfest will return. They tried it in 2005, and although it was just a way to dress up the park for potential buyers, it still failed miserably. There are likely multiple reasons (the biggest being the cost - season passes didn't get you in and once you paid to get in, there wasn't much to do for free), but it didn't work. Even Holiday Fest at The Beach, which I worked during the winter of 2006-2007, was mostly dead most nights. Festival of Lights at the zoo is a bit of a different situation. The experience isn't that much different than what you'd get if you went to the zoo on a "normal" day - it's at night and in the middle of winter, but you still get to walk around and take in many of the exhibits. There are also plenty of indoor exhibits where guests can get out of the cold for a while. The biggest factor is that once you get in, you can enjoy most of what Festival of Lights has to offer without having to pay extra. There's still a small cost for riding the train, but again, that's completely optional.

Here's the review I was referring to... Hint: Don't come to KI on a Saturday during Haunt season. I have only waited 2 1/2 hours or more for a ride twice at KI - once the year Flight of Fear opened (line was all the way back to Zephyr) and the day Firehawk opened (most of that was waiting for the ride to actually open).

I purchased platinum for next year in hopes of finally making it up to CP. I'll have to get it processed in the spring. I'm also grateful that the pass sale was extended, as I didn't remember to purchase the pass until Monday morning. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 4

I don't see why you'd need to wait for another source to post it to Wikipedia - it doesn't get any more official than a press release from the park.

The problem with flight deck is that the train has to be manually stopped right on the section of track that moves. As I recall from riding it, it doesn't stop right within this section, so manual braking would be needed as well. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 4

The closest I've been to a skunk was when I worked at the park in 2005. A family of skunks took up residence under the track at what is now Peanuts 500. If only it were as simple as new seats. I'm sure there's a lot more to it than that though.

My guess is they're preparing to spruce up the area since that ride will likely see a huge burst in ridership next year. It would be rather difficult to remove that section since it's right below the station.

You may also want to consider using the "sync" capabilities of Chrome or Firefox if you use the same browser on multiple devices. This will sync cookies, saved passwords and other data across all your devices, improving the browsing experience. Firefox: Firefox menu -> Options -> Options, click "Sync" then follow the links/prompts from there. Chrome: Enabled by default when you're signed in with your Google account (go to the Settings page to manage sync settings)

A while back several sources reported about abuse of Disney's disabled-rider program, where wealthy patrons were paying big bucks to become guests of a disabled person, thereby allowing them to dishonestly skip the lines simply because of their wealth. I definitely understand why they did this, but I don't know if it's the best solution. It should help stop the abuse though, since they won't really get any more out of it than they would if they got FastPass.

If you look to the right of the operator booth at Zephyr, there's a large round concrete pad that I believe was used as a footer for the Giant Slide.

I feel sorry for all the people involved in this. It's a shame that Kinzel isn't one of the ones having to deal with the mess he created. In some ways I can also understand why CF keeps appealing this - what are they going to do with the person who took over for Falfas? You can't fire someone simply because the court says you have to reinstate their predecessor in that position, but it's also tough to relocate that person within the company due to the nature of said position.
