The building was put up around the coaster as I recall. There are construction pics floating around the forum or internet somewhere. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 4

What's Up With Snoopy's Starlight Spectacular?
Oldiesmann replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
I don't see the burgers and fries leaving Festhaus anytime soon. The burgers and fries now served in Festhaus were once served in nearby Stunt Crew Grill, which is rarely (if ever) open these days (much like that long-forgotten smoothie stand between I-Street and Rivertown). The park can serve the same food in Festhaus that they served in Stunt Crew Grill with less overhead. -
I can't even find that song do you know where I can? Look for Hugo Montenegro on iTunes. His version is the one that's well-known and I believe that's the same one used on the train as well.

Python is rough and painful. Not really what I'd consider intense.

I loved Trabant as well. Sad to see it go. I am intrigued to see what will be coming. Currently the most intense ride at Coney (at least in my opinion) is the Round-Up. If it gets more nauseating and intense than that, it's going to be a great ride.

I'm wondering how he thinks there could be swampland in southwestern Ohio.

When I rode Flight of Fear last, they were holding loose articles, including bags and souvenir cups. At Firehawk they wouldn't even let me in line with a souvenir cup, yet were allowing guests to help themselves to the employee water. The line was quite short that day, but given the typical Firehawk lines, I cannot imagine why they won't hold souvenir cups on Firehawk. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 4

KI considers it a coaster. That's all that matters. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 4 -

Here's a better example. Watch the guy in the black shirt (pretty easy to see here though): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fn2Xm3YnIA And, for nostalgia, here's a video of the Flying Eagles at KI on the last day it operated. Sadly it's not great quality, but it still gives you a good idea of how you can snap them: Perhaps the best snapping video I could find - this is what happens when a bunch of enthusiasts ride. This is the ride that was at KI in its current form: -
Most of the attractions at Coney are low-capacity anyway (with the exception of the Round-Up and maybe Flying Bobs or Tilt-a-Whirl).

Hate to see classic rides going (especially if it's the one I'm thinking of), but a new ride should be interesting either way. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 4

Just because they're snappable doesn't mean the park will let you snap them. I've heard of parks where that isn't allowed, though I've only ridden them at KI and Stricker's. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 4 -
One thing to keep in mind about the freebies at Holiday World. Beech Bend also has free parking/soft drinks/sunscreen, though I believe they do it because of Holiday World. It would be great marketing for them if HW stopped the freebies, even though HW and BB are much different parks. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 4

One interesting thing. The CP website mentions that Eagles riders will be able to control their ride - from mild to wild. Hopefully this means they'll let you snap them. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 4 -
If I'm off on Monday (not likely as I haven't been off on Monday in a few months) I'll be at Stricker's Grove. Haven't been in a couple years. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 4

I'll definitely consider coming this year. I wanted to go last year but forgot about it. I'm planning to take the 22nd off for a Cincinnati Pops concert though, so I might have to skip this.

They realized they could make more money by turning the SRL into a Fast Lane, and they can still fill the train by properly managing row assignments. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 4

This video will give you a good idea of where King Cobra was. This was taken near the end of the ride's life.

Yes, that's an old Bat footing. There are quite a few of those around Vortex. There's also an old Giant Slide footing behind the operator area at Zephyr. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 4
